What I like most about Jenkins is how it automates the build and deployment process. For example, a code update can trigger a pipeline that checks out the code from Git, builds a Docker image, pushes it to Amazon ECR, and deploys the application to an environment. This reduces manual steps and makes releases more consistent. I also like using a Jenkinsfile to define pipeline stages, as it makes the process easier to maintain and troubleshoot when something fails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing I find challenging about Jenkins is maintaining plugins and keeping them compatible with each other. Sometimes, a plugin update can cause issues with an existing pipeline, and troubleshooting the problem takes time. Setting up Jenkins initially also requires some effort, especially when configuring credentials, agents, and permissions. I would like to see simpler plugin management, clearer error messages, and better visibility into pipeline failures to make day-to-day maintenance easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
