What do you like best about Inteum?

What do you dislike about Inteum?

Current analytics are weak/difficult but improving, and "traversing the database" is difficult (have to move to different sections to get related information). "Easy to use system and great support"

What do you like best about Inteum?

Inteum system is very intuitive and very responsive! We used to have speed issues with other database companies. Inteum has solved this issue and is very intuitive and easy to use. Custom support is great and resolve any issue in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"its a very comprehensive db that is relatively easy to learn."

What do you like best about Inteum?

When we made the switch to Inteum from another vendor it was an easy sell - we had been struggling for literally months to get our on-line invention disclosure capability to work - but with Inteum we were up and running in a relatively short time (though it took some learning on our part). Also like the Form Letter capability - we now have 30 self-populating form letters so we can communicate with both our inventors and outside counsel on many of the activities associated with the patent prosecution process. What do you dislike about Inteum?

occasionally i run across aspects that don't work they way one would assume given the focus of the db - a lay version of a patent docket system. One example that was only very recently resolved was the ability to access HOME addresses in our forms. It took years for the system to be upgraded to include this capability.

also not thrilled with the forced migration to web from the C/S environment - have learned to use the Web version, but still think the C/S version is more powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Robust relational database that can support diverse purposes, Reports, operations & docking. You can efficiently capture your data once, but use the relational tables to support accounting functions and docketing. Information is easily accessible from an overview, with the capability to drill down

The customer service is outstanding. They want there clients to get the most out of their product. They go far beyond typical efforts to make this happen. A robust help web site. What do you dislike about Inteum?

The relationships are complex and when trying to create custom reports datasets results are no always what you expected, if you don't truely understand those relationships. Excellent customer support is available to help bring a user up to speed. If you should wish too, Inteum can create the custom reports or datasets you need for a small fee. What do you like best about Inteum?

Inteum's portfolio organization is very intuitive. Making the Technology record the "home" record for all of our patent activity, financial activity and communications really centralizes grounds our processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inteum?

I dont think there is any feature that I would say I dislike. The software is flexible to allow integration to your business processes, and "out of the box" is quite comprehensive. Inteum is a great out of the box IP Portfolio Manager. But their biggest strength is in their flexibility which allows users to customize the software to fit their business model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Inteum solving and how is that benefiting you?

Federal Reporting Compliance Management, Licensee Compliance and Financial Management, Internal Funding Award RFP to Awards management, as well as the traditional tech transfer technology and IP management.

Being able to link each of these key parts together helps to create that comprehensive overview that is needed in order to make critical decisions about how to move forward. What do you like best about Inteum?

Inteum is very easy to learn how to use. It is a great way to keep the agreements and intellectual property for your company organized. I especially like the fact that you can add a termination date so that you do not have to go in and update when an agreement is terminated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Inteum?

I do not like the fact that you are unable to right click to paste something, instead you must hit ctrl+c or ctrl+v to copy and paste into Inteum. I have also had some difficulty going in and adding some descriptions that were necessary, but it may just be user error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Inteum:

The quality of support is amazing. If you have issues regarding Inteum, they are great at helping you to resolve them. There is also a user forum that is very helpful. What problems is Inteum solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are trying to keep all of our agreements and intellectual property paperwork organized and in a digital format. It is a great way to keep applications, patents, and agreements all in the same place. I especially like the fact that you can download a plug-in for your email so that you can associate certain emails with things in Inteum. What do you like best about Inteum?

Inteum has been in business for many years, is sustainable, affordable and meets regularly with clients to ensure their software provides end-to-end solutions. The activity generation and follow up functionality is very valuable and a unique product offering bundled with all the other attributes. You can decide if your organization only needs to use some of the modules vs the full product offering without giving up on any of the functionality. Their customer service is exceptional to ensure the system meets your unique organizational requirements - they don't want you to buy something that you cannot or will not use. What do you dislike about Inteum?

We are still having some issues with custom reporting but mainly because we are hosted and don't have crystal reporting software. That being said Inteum is working with us to meet our reporting needs as best they can Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Inteum solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are managing publically funded research and innovation projects - the main outcome is knowledge in the form of a final written report and/or a software products such as a model, database or website rather than patents but it works well to index project detail and related information as well as keep track of reports that are due and when they are received. We are proactively managing research project information and outcomes using the Inteum software - now working towards providing the project analytics to our business now that we have all the information in one place and taking advantage of the analytics functionality they offer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
