  ### 1. Needs revamping for educational businesses

**What do you like best about Infor POS?**

Running reports on the back side, i.e. accounting side is easier than other products we've used before.  Reports are cleaner.

**What do you dislike about Infor POS?**

The system is too restaurant-based and we are in a college environment which is not creating a problem using the software but we have to look at menus that do not pertain to education at all.

**Recommendations to others considering Infor POS:**

Ask for a demo of the software, POS and back office up front. Be prepared for training that is not related to your company's function if you not in a dining or restaurant capacity.

**What problems is Infor POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly, the software saved us a lot of money.  The equipment is sleeker (register is quieter than our previous system). The menu is similar to what we are used to and menu items can be layered.

A simple pos software . We switched over from using old school hard copy cash registers with the tapes

**What do you like best about Infor POS?**

Infrastructure is handled by dedicated professional staff allowing our brand to focus on business rather than technology.  We switched over to them in 2007 and haven't looked back.

**What do you dislike about Infor POS?**

The primary interface is your web browser, sometimes this can be an issue if the browser is updated and internal changes are applied to the browser (Chrome or IE) and you need to switch to a different browser.

**Recommendations to others considering Infor POS:**

Super customization with 3rd party software is not allowed to the system however for us this is not an issue, we've been able to install coupon gateways using https and it works great.

**What problems is Infor POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business problems were vast, we had about 5 different POS in the field in the stores and half did not connect to the polling server properly usually with an issue at the store.  The POS at the time was not hardened allowing the stores to make changes, to price and product.  Vivonet solved this.

**What do you like best about Infor POS?**

I really enjoy the capacity for remote real time tracking of our numbers--from the minute details to the bigger picture.  The platform itself is relatively customizable, and functions well in a fast paced environment.

The touch screens and cash registers that came along with it also are very responsive to constant use.

**What do you dislike about Infor POS?**

Honestly, I don't like that the software itself requires Windows exclusively.  I find Windows to be considerably buggy and prone to obsolescence within a couple of years.  The look of it these days is a little bulky and outdated.

In addition, it can often take quite a long time to get in touch with the support staff when issues arise.  Most often, these issues affect your business in the moment and need to be addressed in the immediate.  I often found myself on hold during our busiest time of day for close to an hour every time.

**Recommendations to others considering Infor POS:**

I think it's incredibly important to keep in mind the scope of your business when you are deciding which POS platform to move forward with.  It has functioned very well for us for several years, but there are definitely other options out there.

**What problems is Infor POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used Vivonet to great success in terms of consolidating and keeper much better track of all of our labor reporting and accounting.  This software paves the way for good business practices.

**What do you like best about Infor POS?**

Software and hardware are quite stable and easy to operate. Technical support is generally quite good - knowledgeable and likely to fix problem at first call.

**What do you dislike about Infor POS?**

Recent software release is slow/laggy. Wait times for technical support can be very long. Enterprise manager (online reporting tool) seems archaic - no mobile support, and each restaurant location has a separate profile and requires a different login.

**What problems is Infor POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Professional and reliable POS. Vivonet POS is required for our franchise.
