**What do you like best about HotSchedules?**

This application helped me schedule, forecast and receive financial aid and info for my restaurant in Northern Virginia. The system is either web-based or a cell phone app that allowed my staff to access information anywhere and for me to see info on real time. The performance get a lot better with each update. I pay about $3 a month for each user. The support is very easy when needed. The AI is slowly growing but should be helpful in a few years.

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

The system feels a bit antiquated, but it is slowly adapting to a newer generation. The AI isn’t particularly efficient. That said, my staff find it easy to schedule their days and make the necessary changes when needed.

**What problems is HotSchedules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage a team of FOH and BOH staff, and I’m responsible for figuring out how to run the restaurant day to day. I also need to forecast how busy we’ll be and plan staffing accordingly, while still staying within my budget.

Most helpful is ease of use! The program is intuitive, easy to use, and very user friendly for staff. I also love the effortless shift swap, approval, and roster features!

I'm still working on figuring out the hours for employees as there seems to be a discrepancy, and I'm sure it's an easy fix that I haven't been able to dig into yet.

**What do you like best about HotSchedules?**

It's so easy to send in my availability and message with my boss and colleagues. I also like how you can get text notifications when your shift has been assigned. I also like how you can see what other employees are working with you at the same time, as well as their contact information. Makes it very easy for shifts and communicating with other workers.

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

I don't like that the app costs money because it's inconvenient having to go on my laptop. Also the mobile interface could be better. There is also definitely a learning curve to the website and I wish it were more intuitive. I also wish you could receive notifications when someone drops their shift and there is one for pick up.

Download the mobile app if you can afford it and set up email notifications

It's super easy to send my availability to my boss and request time off. It's what we use for our scheduling and employee communications.

There isn't really one specific feature that I liked best about this program. It doesn't come with any bells or whistles so in that regard its pretty easy to use. As a manager and administrator you are very limited in scheduling and communication abilities.

It doesn't have any program features that will blow you away. Its very simple so easy to use but leaves much to be desired.

HotSchedules helped to solve the problem of scheduling and streamlining the communication. Its great to have locations with a digital schedule.

I love HotSchedules. I’ve been using it for about 6 years now. It’s very easy on the eyes, you can look and see when you’re scheduled, who you’re scheduled with, and who isn’t working. Communicating with staff isn’t difficult like it sometimes can be when you’re actually in the workplace and need to look up someone’s number or email address.

As a manager, it sometimes can take a while to input employees’ upcoming schedules. 

**Recommendations to others considering HotSchedules:**

Use HotSchedules. Encourage everyone to get the app. The communication itself that it provides basically pays for it. Such an easy system to use.

If an employee is ever absent from their shift, claiming they didn’t know they worked, I know for a fact that it’s just not the case. There’s no question about the schedule when using this app. Also, it’s easier to trade shifts on the app rather than doing so in person. People might forget.

I love looking at my schedule and have the option of giving up and picking up shifts without having to call everyone.

The tests that we are sometimes required to take are kinda difficult when there are new updates but it's no big deal.

Very convenient when it comes to scheduling and making sure that management can communicate with all employees.

No paper schedules anymore. Just log in and you know what you work and if there are any messages from management.

What I like most about HotSchedules is that there is an app. It is very convenient to get push notifications for when I'm scheduled or if there is a company -wide message.

What I dislike about HotSchedules is that the app is pretty glitchy. It will sometimes sign me out and not let me log back in.

I would recommend using HotSchedules for your scheduling needs. I would recommend the app definitely.

The problems that are being solved with HotSchedules is that it allows for wide communication throughout a company. The benefits are that everyone's contacts are also available on the app.

It's a pretty holistic app. We can put in notes on staff and operations, do scheduling and pretty much keep track of everything that is going on in our multi-location business

HotSchedules is an incredible app solution to scheduling and is super convenient for employees. It’s very easy to release shifts, swap shifts, request off, and update availability all within the convenience of 1 app.

The only downside is the cost because the app is not free, however once you pay for it it’s yours.

If you are in the service industry, HotSchedules is a game changer. It makes life easier for managers and employees alike. The convenience of having all of your scheduling needs met with one app definitely outweighs the cost of the app itself.

Before HotSchedules at my company we were having to request off in a book, update availability on paper, and it was extremely difficult to get shifts covered when you needed to. HotSchedules allows you to easily do all of those things without having to worry about keeping up with paperwork which is more stressful on the manager to manage all of your employees availability on paper.

I like the scheduling and the ability to easily see your schedule on the app. I really enjoy the logbook and the reporting feature which makes it easier to create a schedule. The ability to view who youre working with and how many hours you have that week is very nice too.

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

I don't like that you have to purchase this app when its on your phone. I don't like how much the logbook lags when you're using it and takes a while to check off tasks you've completed. Other than that, I love HotSchedules.

Get Hotschedules! Its an amazing product!

I'm solving the scheduling issue including time off and availability. HotSchedules runs very smoothly and is easy for the whole staff to use and get used to.

Hotschedules enables employers to communicate not only emplyee schedules and changes therein, it also includes a built in messaging system to ease communicationn about meetings, products, whatever you like.  It can be set up to notify you of schedule changes, messages, et al via email or text or both.  Employees can easilyput their shifts out there for someone to pick up.  They can look up emplyees contact information to get in touch about possible changes.  All that and more.  Availabibily changes, requests for time off, shift swaps and you can take a look at your schedule anywhere and anytime via the internet.

There's not a lot I dont like..  All I can think of is not  being able to access other positions schedules.

I highly recommend Hotsvhedules for inter office

Problems of changing availability of employees, of making sure everyone is aware of any meetings we might have scheduled.  It allows us to act more quickly ro get shifts covered.

They have the entire week of schedule posted on there and also who will be working or not working the shift.

You have to wait for managers to view your requests and also rely on other people to pay attention to be able to call in or call off work.

Have your employer show the ins and outs of the application and it should be easy to use.

Problems would be shift coverage and the time it takes for everyone to realize there is availability and requests.

**What do you like best about HotSchedules?**

HotSchedules is very organized and accessible at any time. It shows my scheduled days to work, time off, my availability, messages from co-workers, and any work announcements. I have never had an issue with it not loading because of a lack of internet service or wifi. 

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

The only problem I have had with HotSchedules is that sometimes it doesn't line p with other peoples' schedules. It might not show me someone else's schedule correctly but it has never interfered with my schedule.

Use it, very simple and easy.

I always know when i have to be at work so I have never been late to work. HotSchedules is helpful because it is much easier to upload everyone's schedule to an app rather than email everyone individually.

**What do you like best about HotSchedules?**

I like HotSchedules because it is easy to maneuver. I found that it was updated often which made it easier to look at your schedule. I also liked that you were able to see the staff and get in touch with other co-workers easily and see things such as their phone numbers and email addresses. 

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

Sometimes the calendar function on the website looked messy. I found that it was much easier to navigate the app on my cell phone instead of logging in to my computer. Also, the app cost money and the website is free. But the website isn't always as convenient to log into. 

**Recommendations to others considering HotSchedules:**

Keep updating as times change to make it easier for employees to navigate and check their schedules.

I realized that HotSchedules was more convenient to use to check my schedule than looking at a piece of paper posted to a corkboard like I used to do at my old job. It was always accessible and like I said before, it was updated often to make it more sleek and appealing to look at.

Working a job during school is hard in its own, but it becomes even more taxing when the way you get your schedule is complicated or last minute. However, with HotSchedules, I have my schedule in the tip of my fingers at all times.

There isn't too much I dislike, but I would like to be able to see other people's schedules in a way that is simpler.

I would recommend it to anyone! It is great for all types of work environments! Hospitality, business, human resources, and so on!

The biggest benefit I've realized is the way that you can have your schedule anywhere, anytime.

I like how easy it is to communicate with your team (it features messaging) and it is simple to show your availability. I also like how it shows the contact information for all of your team members. I also enjoy how you get both email and text notifications.

I wish that you could get email or text notifications for when someone releases their shift and it is available for pick-up.

**Recommendations to others considering HotSchedules:**

Set up email and text notifications so you can be easily notified of when your shifts are assigned. You can also sign up to "auto-pickup" shifts.

**What problems is HotSchedules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One problem is how there is no option to be notified whenever a shift is released. A benefit is the text updates, so I know when my shift is updated or scheduled.

ALL of our scheduling communication happens in one place and it’s amazing!

A little bit more customization would be great. Like color coding for different departments perhaps.

We have eliminated complications while scheduling be requiring any and all correspondence regarding scheduling to be done through HotSchedules.

I enjoy using HotSchedules because it allows me to easily see my schedule as well as the schedules of my coworkers.  It is easy to trade shifts with other coworkers.  I can ask off and change my availability with ease.

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

Overall, I really like HotSchedules.  I have been using it for a little over a year, and have not had many problems with it.  One thing I would like to see added in the future is a group message option between coworkers.  Right now, the app allows you to send messages to individual coworkers.  I believe that it would be helpful if I were able to send a message in a group chat of coworkers so we could all see each others thoughts and opinions.

It is very user-friendly.  I would recommend HotSchedules to any business considering using it as a way to get out schedules to their employees.

**What problems is HotSchedules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HotSchedules has been extremely beneficial for the company I work with.  Before HotSchedules, we received out weekly schedules via papers which were pinned to a bulletin board.  Now, we are able to receive our schedules through the HotSchedules app, and we can check them at any time without having to physically be at the building near the bulletin board.  It also has made it much easier to switch shifts with coworkers because you are able to see who is working/ not working on each day.

I like the amount of reports that's can be run.

**What do you like best about HotSchedules?**

HotSchedules is a user friendly scheduling program that makes it easy for a manager to receive requests, availability changes, create schedules for a variety of job codes, and print day to day copies as well as weekly copies for viewing.

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

I don’t care so much for the messaging aspect. I find it’s not necessary and very few employees actually use the function.

**What problems is HotSchedules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit I have found is being able to print daily schedule reports to be able to confirm each employee has reported to work on time and is in the correct place.

I like that you can see your own schedule on a calendar. That makes it easy for me to play ahead and visualize my entire week.

I dislike that the hotschedules app is not free. I also dislike that you can't see every staff members work time. It only lets you see your own category.

When using the mobile site on my phone it is difficult to try and manipulate.

The most helpful aspects of hot schedules is being able to swap shifts with other employees, as well as pick-up available shifts.

The downside is that the available app is not free to download.

It makes it very easy for employees to see their own shifts as well as includes tools to swap and pick up shift.

It has impacted my work by being able to see who is working when, in order to coordinate coverage of shifts.

It is easy to request shifts and look up past shifts.

It took a while to find out how to look up which co-workers I am working with. Also, the app does not display the total hours worked and does not display a whole month at a time, or I have not been able to figure out how.

I do not see benefits in comparison with other shift scheduling apps.

It doesn't differ much from other shift scheduling apps. It appears a little more complicated, while the phone app is being charged for, whereas other apps are free of charge.

**What do you like best about HotSchedules?**

HotSchedules is a great app used for scheduling, as well as keeping in touch with employees and managers. I really enjoyed how easy it was to send messages to the entire staff at once. It is also very clear when shifts are up for grabs, and this app makes it so easy to pick up and release shifts. I think the best part about this app was being able to clearly see my entire schedule for the week.

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

I really don't have anything bad to say about this app. If I absolutely had to choose something, I would say I disliked the excessive emails I got from this app, even though I'm sure that was just a matter of email preferences. For every message I received on HotSchedules, I would also receive an email about it, which could get a little annoying. Other than that, this app was amazing for me.

Excellent product! Very easy to use and communicate through

I realized that this app is so user friendly that it makes it very easy for the staff and managers to communicate the schedule to one another. I think it would be beneficial in any industry that you need to create a schedule in.

It is helpful to see my schedules during the week and have an easy way to contact my coworkers.

I dislike that requesting off is sometimes hard because you have to do it individually for each day and time.

HotSchedules allows my coworkers to message me without having my personal number. It allows me to keep all my information on the app, so I don’t get mixed up in notifications.

Has functions available for anything I need to do with scheduling for work. User interface is pretty self explanatory and easy to maneuver.

There are sometimes issues with logging in. When I open the app sometimes it just sits there and I have to close it and try again.

Connect it to Google calendar

I can manage my shifts, time off requests with ease. If someone drops the ball I can just show them that I put in my request in writing.

**What do you like best about HotSchedules?**

I love the accuracy with the numbers and how easy it is to find what you need. The labor report from the schedule is super easy to read and convenient because there are different ways to read it using the tabs n the bottom.

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

I don't like how you have to go to a different place on the website to enter the daily sales goal for the week. I feel like it should be near or on the scheduling page instead of the reports. That would make it easier to us. I also don't like how you cant set a default way to view labor.

**What problems is HotSchedules solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Over-scheduling and making sure we are making a profit. With the labor we make sure the store has enough workers and that we can also afford it.

The scheduling aspect is wonderful, it works great and we have not received many complaints from out employees who use it.

There are many reporting features that I would love to use however the date ranges for these reports maxes out at about 2-3 months making them essentially useless for my purposes.

As a scheduling and communication platform it works flawlessly, if you want something with more robust reporting features you might want to consider other options.

There are instructions to cancel your contract but HotSchedules is not honoring their own procedure, which was published on their website.

Don't expect assistance if you need to cancel your contract.

I called a representative upon my neighbor's advice and explained what I needed. I was opening a business at the time and hiring 30 employees, all with varying schedule restrictions and capabilities. I wanted to enter their names, the times they are unavailable, the classes they could teach, and then click a button. What I expected to happen was to see the different scheduling scenarios available, based on the constraints I entered. I was told the system could do that for me. It couldn't, and it didn't, which I reported. Once I requested to cancel my contract, I was instructed to follow their online procedures, which I did. However, they refuse to cancel my contract or refund any of the monthly fees they've collected while I have not even been using their system. HotSchedules has trapped me and my money for a full year for a system that I have no use for whatsoever. I was led into a trap and get angrier each time they send me a monthly invoice. What a terrible way to treat people you can't even help.

Maybe the layout and design could be better, but other than that it's great

HotSchedules has helped staff remain in close communication and allows members to help each other out.  I think it helps bring a team together and enforcing people to help each other out.

**What do you like best about HotSchedules?**

HotSchedules makes viewing my schedule very easy. When I need a shift covered, the app makes it very easy to maneuver. My favorite feature is syncing my schedule to my phones calendar so that it will then alert me an hour and 30 minutes before my shift that  I’m working. 

**What do you dislike about HotSchedules?**

The only complaint is that I can’t see everyone’s schedule. Only people with the same job title as me.

Since using HotSchedules, the process of picking up shifts and having them approved over the phone is now over.  HotSchedules takes away the unnecessary phone calls and instead is a click of a button away.

I love the shift notes feature. I have used this at work to pass on notes to my fellow managers detailing important information from my shift or about their upcoming shift. Also great for record keeping for staff issues because you can search through an the post notes.

Going through the steps for the schedule print out daily was annoying and should be streamlined.
