"Great Tool for Content Creation, But Pricey"
2.5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I like HeyGen for creating videos and content, especially for community mobilization and awareness campaigns. It's simple to use and has nice interactive features, producing good quality content. My children also enjoy using HeyGen to make videos, and it's a tool we find works very well for us. Once I understood the workflow, HeyGen became easy to use, making tasks straightforward with the help of the tutorial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

The cost is a bit on the higher side, which is really affecting us. If the cost were lower, it would have been a perfect fit for me. Even though the quality is great and it's easy to use, the price makes it hard to justify. Beginning was challenging too, but once you read the tutorial, it gets easy. "Leveled Up My Consulting with Lightning-Fast Training Videos and Social Content"
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

It’s really leveled up my consulting game. I’m now able to produce training videos and social media content at lightning speed. What used to take days can now be done in an hour or less. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

When using the video agent, to create a new project, unless you spend an hour or more writing the perfect prompt, the output is never good enough on the 1st pass. This has caused me to be forced to purchase additional credits to refine the video. A few examples: My last training video, the script on the screen didnt match the AI voice over, strange as I didnt create the script. Another common issue, words are sometimes grouped together without spacing, likethiscrazygroupofwords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Natural Voices and High-Quality Videos Make Presentations Visually Engaging"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I really like this tool because it creates natural, realistic voices and high-quality videos. The presentations are dynamic and visually engaging, making the whole experience enjoyable. It motivates me to explore the product more deeply and discover its full potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

It would be great if the presentations supported zoom in and zoom out effects, allowing them to feel more dynamic and engaging. This would make it possible to create even more interesting and visually appealing presentations. One thing I don’t like is that I can’t get my voice to sound exactly like it does in real life. It still feels quite altered and more AI-generated than natural. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Explainer Videos, Great Value"
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I love using HeyGen for creating explainer videos because I don't have to find time to prepare cameras, lighting, and appearance, which makes the process much easier for me. I appreciate its great value and how it remains solidly professional. The 'script to video' feature is something I value a lot. Setting it up was easy, which was a big plus for me. I am also very likely to recommend it to others, with a score of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

I'm having trouble with the length of the video and the cost. We could use a simpler system to pay for minutes after we have seen the finished product. Maybe a way to shorten and lengthen videos carefully. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Boosts Proactivity with Real-Time Video Creation"
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I use HeyGen to create short, interactive videos with different people using their voices, which gets the message across in a personable way. I find it stops procrastination, helps me move forward, and generates ideas. I like that HeyGen provides a starting point that I can build on, and it's quick, allowing me to create videos in real time. It makes content more personable with recognizable faces and voices. The setup was really easy, which is a big plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

I think better editing on the video would be handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Tool But Improvement Needed in AI"
4/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

What I like most about HeyGen is that I can clone my voice and create my avatar, which looks really good. The tool is quite intuitive and good, even though I don't have much experience in handling AI or making videos with AI, I have found HeyGen quite easy to apply and very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

Well, I think that when you upload a video for editing, the chat section for interacting with the guide could be more automated. Also, sometimes the AI does not produce the results one wants or is looking for, or that one imagines. Furthermore, sometimes making corrections to the things the AI does on its own without instruction costs credits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionized Content Creation with No Studio Needed"
4/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I like using HeyGen because I don't need a studio setup, making it way cheaper for content creation. The avatar expression quality is impressive and really stands out to me. I also value the explanatory tools since I work on educational content. The initial setup was very easy, requiring no technical knowledge, which is a big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

I think the native Bengali voice should be more realistic; it still feels robotic. Like other languages, the Bengali voice is of low quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredibly Realistic Avatars and Avatar"
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

The realism. I use HeyGen to produce a recurring educational series built around a custom avatar and an ElevenLabs voice, and the lip-sync is clean enough that my family and friends genuinely couldn't tell where the AI ended. The expressions read as warm rather than uncanny, the ElevenLabs voice integration makes the delivery sound conversational, and running scenes through the API and pulling them straight into my editor has been smooth. As a non-developer, I've been able to make real, repeatable content instead of one-off demos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

A couple of honest quirks worth knowing. There's a 5,000-character limit per scene, so longer scripts have to be chunked into blocks. And bare list numbers ("two," "three") can clip on render until you write them out as "Number two," "Number three." Small things once you learn them, but they cost me a few re-renders early on. A larger per-scene limit and smarter number handling would smooth the workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Almost All-in-One AI Video Generator with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I enjoy using HeyGen for creating videos with avatars, as it makes it easier to talk to my audience without needing to be formal each time. I like that it's almost an all-in-one AI video generator platform. I find it easy to use and appreciate the continuous improvements, which is helpful in a changing market. It's clear where to start, and I see many new ideas coming periodically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

Sometimes the video doesn't go as intended. For example, if I'm making a video about a product, the product changes in the video from scene to scene. The initial setup was confusing in the beginning, but it's much easier now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"From Script to Client-Ready Videos Fast—HeyGen Streamlined My Onboarding Content."
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

### Title:

From “Idea to Deployment” in Hours — HeyGen Became a Core Part of My Delivery System

---

### Review:

I didn’t just use HeyGen to create videos—I used it to build a scalable delivery system for my business.

As a financial consultant working with business owners, I needed a way to create clear, professional onboarding and training content without the time, cost, and friction of traditional video production. HeyGen solved that problem almost immediately.

**What stood out first was the UI/UX.**

It’s incredibly intuitive. I was able to go from script to finished video in a single sitting without needing to learn a complicated workflow. The editing environment is clean, and the ability to quickly iterate on scripts and re-render videos saved me hours compared to recording and re-recording manually.

**The biggest value, though, is in the AI delivery.**

With the right scripting approach, the avatars can deliver content in a way that feels calm, professional, and consistent. I’ve been able to create onboarding videos that set expectations, reduce client anxiety, and establish trust before I ever speak to them live. That’s a huge leverage point in my business.

**Performance has been strong and reliable.**

Rendering times are reasonable, and the output quality is more than sufficient for client-facing content. I’ve used it for multiple videos in sequence without any issues.

**Unexpected benefit:** consistency.

Every video maintains the same tone, structure, and delivery. That’s nearly impossible to achieve when recording manually unless you’re extremely disciplined or have a full production setup.

**From an ROI standpoint, it’s a no-brainer.**

What would normally require:

* multiple takes

* editing time

* or hiring a videographer

can now be done in a fraction of the time and cost. More importantly, it allows me to actually *deploy* content instead of delaying it.

**Onboarding and usability are straightforward.**

I was able to get productive quickly, and the platform doesn’t get in your way. It’s clear the product is designed for execution, not just features.

**Where it really shines is when paired with a system.**

If you’re just experimenting with video, it’s helpful.

If you’re building structured content—onboarding, courses, client delivery—it becomes extremely powerful.

---

### Final Thoughts:

HeyGen didn’t just help me create videos—it helped me standardize how I communicate, deliver value, and scale my client experience.

If you think in systems, not just tools, this platform is a serious asset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

### Constructive Feedback:

Overall, my experience with HeyGen has been very positive, but there are a few areas where improvements would significantly increase its value—especially for users building client-facing or scalable content systems.

**1. Voice pacing control is somewhat limited**

The current speed adjustments feel a bit rigid. For example, moving from standard speed to a slower setting can feel like too big of a jump, which makes it difficult to dial in a natural delivery.

In practice, this means I often have to adjust my script structure (adding line breaks or punctuation) to control pacing, rather than relying on the platform itself.

*Suggestion:* More granular speed controls (e.g., 0.9x, 0.95x) or the ability to adjust pacing at the sentence level would make a big difference.

---

**2. Fine-tuning tone requires some trial and error**

While the AI voices are strong, getting the exact tone (calm vs conversational vs authoritative) can take multiple iterations. The “Direct Voice” feature helps, but it’s not always predictable how the model will interpret those instructions.

*Impact:* This can slow down production when trying to match a very specific delivery style, especially for professional or advisory content.

*Suggestion:* More predefined tone profiles (e.g., “advisor,” “educator,” “executive briefing”) or clearer feedback on how prompts are interpreted would improve efficiency.

---

**3. Limited real-time preview of delivery nuances**

Currently, you often need to render the full video to fully evaluate pacing, tone, and flow.

*Impact:* This adds friction when making small adjustments, especially across multiple videos in a sequence.

*Suggestion:* A more advanced preview mode that better simulates final delivery (including pauses and tone shifts) would reduce iteration time.

---

**4. Avatar realism vs. expressiveness balance**

Some avatars can feel slightly over-expressive or not fully aligned with a more grounded, professional tone, depending on the use case.

*Impact:* For client-facing content in industries like finance or consulting, subtlety is key, and over-expression can slightly reduce perceived credibility.

*Suggestion:* More control over expressiveness levels or additional “low-expression / professional” avatar options would be valuable.

---

### Final Thought:

None of these are blockers, and I’ve been able to work around them effectively. But addressing these areas would make HeyGen even more powerful for users who are building structured, high-quality content at scale—not just one-off videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
