"Almost All-in-One AI Video Generator with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I enjoy using HeyGen for creating videos with avatars, as it makes it easier to talk to my audience without needing to be formal each time. I like that it's almost an all-in-one AI video generator platform. I find it easy to use and appreciate the continuous improvements, which is helpful in a changing market. It's clear where to start, and I see many new ideas coming periodically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

Sometimes the video doesn't go as intended. For example, if I'm making a video about a product, the product changes in the video from scene to scene. The initial setup was confusing in the beginning, but it's much easier now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"From Script to Client-Ready Videos Fast—HeyGen Streamlined My Onboarding Content."
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

### Title:

From “Idea to Deployment” in Hours — HeyGen Became a Core Part of My Delivery System

---

### Review:

I didn’t just use HeyGen to create videos—I used it to build a scalable delivery system for my business.

As a financial consultant working with business owners, I needed a way to create clear, professional onboarding and training content without the time, cost, and friction of traditional video production. HeyGen solved that problem almost immediately.

**What stood out first was the UI/UX.**

It’s incredibly intuitive. I was able to go from script to finished video in a single sitting without needing to learn a complicated workflow. The editing environment is clean, and the ability to quickly iterate on scripts and re-render videos saved me hours compared to recording and re-recording manually.

**The biggest value, though, is in the AI delivery.**

With the right scripting approach, the avatars can deliver content in a way that feels calm, professional, and consistent. I’ve been able to create onboarding videos that set expectations, reduce client anxiety, and establish trust before I ever speak to them live. That’s a huge leverage point in my business.

**Performance has been strong and reliable.**

Rendering times are reasonable, and the output quality is more than sufficient for client-facing content. I’ve used it for multiple videos in sequence without any issues.

**Unexpected benefit:** consistency.

Every video maintains the same tone, structure, and delivery. That’s nearly impossible to achieve when recording manually unless you’re extremely disciplined or have a full production setup.

**From an ROI standpoint, it’s a no-brainer.**

What would normally require:

* multiple takes

* editing time

* or hiring a videographer

can now be done in a fraction of the time and cost. More importantly, it allows me to actually *deploy* content instead of delaying it.

**Onboarding and usability are straightforward.**

I was able to get productive quickly, and the platform doesn’t get in your way. It’s clear the product is designed for execution, not just features.

**Where it really shines is when paired with a system.**

If you’re just experimenting with video, it’s helpful.

If you’re building structured content—onboarding, courses, client delivery—it becomes extremely powerful.

---

### Final Thoughts:

HeyGen didn’t just help me create videos—it helped me standardize how I communicate, deliver value, and scale my client experience.

If you think in systems, not just tools, this platform is a serious asset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

### Constructive Feedback:

Overall, my experience with HeyGen has been very positive, but there are a few areas where improvements would significantly increase its value—especially for users building client-facing or scalable content systems.

**1. Voice pacing control is somewhat limited**

The current speed adjustments feel a bit rigid. For example, moving from standard speed to a slower setting can feel like too big of a jump, which makes it difficult to dial in a natural delivery.

In practice, this means I often have to adjust my script structure (adding line breaks or punctuation) to control pacing, rather than relying on the platform itself.

*Suggestion:* More granular speed controls (e.g., 0.9x, 0.95x) or the ability to adjust pacing at the sentence level would make a big difference.

---

**2. Fine-tuning tone requires some trial and error**

While the AI voices are strong, getting the exact tone (calm vs conversational vs authoritative) can take multiple iterations. The “Direct Voice” feature helps, but it’s not always predictable how the model will interpret those instructions.

*Impact:* This can slow down production when trying to match a very specific delivery style, especially for professional or advisory content.

*Suggestion:* More predefined tone profiles (e.g., “advisor,” “educator,” “executive briefing”) or clearer feedback on how prompts are interpreted would improve efficiency.

---

**3. Limited real-time preview of delivery nuances**

Currently, you often need to render the full video to fully evaluate pacing, tone, and flow.

*Impact:* This adds friction when making small adjustments, especially across multiple videos in a sequence.

*Suggestion:* A more advanced preview mode that better simulates final delivery (including pauses and tone shifts) would reduce iteration time.

---

**4. Avatar realism vs. expressiveness balance**

Some avatars can feel slightly over-expressive or not fully aligned with a more grounded, professional tone, depending on the use case.

*Impact:* For client-facing content in industries like finance or consulting, subtlety is key, and over-expression can slightly reduce perceived credibility.

*Suggestion:* More control over expressiveness levels or additional “low-expression / professional” avatar options would be valuable.

---

### Final Thought:

None of these are blockers, and I’ve been able to work around them effectively. But addressing these areas would make HeyGen even more powerful for users who are building structured, high-quality content at scale—not just one-off videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"HeyGen Streamlined Short-Form Video Creation with Intuitive AI Studio"
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I had a very positive experience using HeyGen for video creation.

It significantly simplified my workflow, especially when producing short-form content consistently. The AI Studio is well designed and intuitive, which makes it easy to move from idea to execution without friction.

What stood out most is the ability to create a personal video longer than 15 seconds. That feature makes a real difference. It allows for more natural delivery, better storytelling, and stronger engagement compared to very short clips.

Overall, it has been a practical and effective tool for scaling video content while maintaining quality and consistency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

There are a couple of areas where HeyGen could improve.

At times, the platform can be a bit slow, especially during rendering or when working on multiple edits.

Also, the quality of videos recorded directly within the app is not as strong as videos uploaded externally. When you upload a pre-recorded video, the output tends to be noticeably better in terms of clarity and overall finish.

These are not deal-breakers, but improving speed and in-app recording quality would make the experience much smoother Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Loved it"
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

What impresses me most about HeyGen is the ability to humanize at scale. Previously, recording videos for different markets or clients required a huge logistical effort. With HeyGen, the 'recording time' barrier has disappeared. The quality of lip-syncing and the naturalness of expressions are so fluid that you forget you're dealing with an avatar. It's the ultimate tool for those who need a constant presence without being a slave to a camera 24 hours a day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

Honestly, what I 'don't like' is that technology is so addictive and efficient that I wish I could use it for absolutely everything, in every minute of content I produce. Sometimes, the desire is for the gesture library to be even infinite, just so I could replicate every detail of my physical personality, because the voice and face part they have already mastered perfectly. "Best AI Video Tool—Paste a Script and Get a Professional Avatar Video"
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

This is the best ai tool i have ever used. You just paste your video script into the video agent and then a professional video is made for you with the avatar that you have chosen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

Sometimes I get locked out of the account and then I have to log in using an incognito window. But not a major issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredibly realistic Instant Avatar, even with a simple camera"
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

The realism of "Instant Avatar" is impressive. Even using an entry-level personal camera, HeyGen's algorithm manages to process facial expressions and body movements with a naturalness that I don't see in other competitors. The ability to generate a clone that truly looks and moves like me, without the need for a professional studio, is the great differentiator for those who work with digital marketing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

The main downside is the financial accessibility for small producers and the generation limit system. The cost in dollars makes the tool burdensome for the Brazilian market, and reaching the avatar limit quickly can hinder the workflow of those who are starting to test the technology. Additionally, the mandatory verification process, although necessary for security, is sometimes too sensitive to small changes in the user's appearance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unreliable Billing Overshadows Great Features"
0.5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I use HeyGen for producing avatar-based instructional videos, and I like that the avatar quality is good. I appreciate the voice integration with 11 labs and the ability to automate a content workflow using an API and Claude in the CLI. The digital twin quality is high-grade, producing a professional output suitable for education content. The API functionality generally works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

The billing reliability is a huge issue for me. The billing system charges for failed renders, which is frustrating. The API accepts jobs, but during the process, it consumes credits before reporting errors like MOVIO_PAYMENT_INSUFFICIENT_CREDIT. This has led to significant financial loss with no video output. Also, the quota endpoint seems broken, making it hard to monitor spending programmatically. Support is fragmented and unresponsive; multiple agents handle tickets with poor coordination and long wait times with no resolution. I couldn't get a sales call despite repeatedly asking until told I didn’t qualify because I wasn't spending enough. Their service capacity is lacking, and this makes scaling with them impossible. "Transforms Video Marketing for Camera-Shy Users"
4.5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I use HeyGen for everything from contact creation to training, education, and social media presence. Video is very important for me, and since I'm a little bit camera shy, I appreciate having an agent create the videos for my educational courses and social media posts. The end results from using HeyGen are amazing. I create a couple of videos every Sunday for my business, and they significantly attract more attention compared to just text. Setting up HeyGen was a breeze; it was just one click. I used it for free for a while and found it very useful, which led me to start paying for it. Right now, I'm even looking forward to getting more credits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

The templates and API need improvements. Right now, it can only create one scene at a time, and it doesn't easily apply to different scenes. This is something that definitely needs to be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"HeyGen: Very User-Friendly and Exceeded My Expectations"
4/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I love HeyGen because its very user friendly I think it is worth the price, but it would be awesome if the price can still be a bit more competitive especially to students. "Creation of avatars with AI that is fast, accessible, and with great documentation"
5/5
What do you like best about HeyGen?

The ease of creating an Avatar. It is possible to use AI to create a voice and video clone to produce content very easily. It is quick to create videos. The prices are very affordable for those who are starting out. And there are integrations with other AIs that you can choose during the creation of your material. The documentation helps a lot when we have questions, super easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

The limit of the free plan could be more generous to allow for more testing. And when you need to create a clone of another person (a client of yours, for example), it is necessary for that person to have access to authorize the use of the image. I understand it's for security, but it's a bit bureaucratic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
