What I like best about Google Trends is how it shows you exactly what people are searching for in real time. It’s like a pulse on public curiosity, whether you’re tracking a news story, planning content, or just wondering why everyone suddenly cares about pickled eggs, you can see the spikes and dips instantly. The comparison feature is super handy too; you can pit two topics against each other and actually see which one wins in search interest over time. Super simple, but surprisingly insightful. how vague the data can be sometimes. It gives you relative interest on a 0–100 scale, not actual search volumes, so you can’t tell if a spike is huge or just a tiny blip. Also, the categories can be messy, comparing broad terms often pulls in unrelated stuff, and you can’t always filter by region as precisely as you’d want. Plus, no historical data beyond 2004, so if you need something older, you're out of luck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
