**What do you like best about Forsta?**

I really appreciate Forsta's robust feature set and the many customization possibilities it offers with custom Python scripts. It allows me to tailor an out-of-the-box product to fit my very narrow and specific needs by writing my own code. I also find their support team very prompt in responding to emails.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

It runs an older and more locked down version of Python, meaning workarounds are often required. Also, as complex as the surveys themselves. Most surveys/questions were very straightforward, but the more complex ones (e.g., long lists split randomly over multiple questions for a better respondent experience) were more difficult.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Forsta for end-to-end survey design and distribution, with quota management. It allows me to customize an out-of-the-box product to fit my very narrow and specific needs by writing my own code.

**What do you like best about Forsta?**

A decent survey management tool that’s easy to customize using XML. It offers multiple data download formats, and the crosstab functionality is helpful for tracking. The quota system is useful as well.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

It feels janky on certain types of questions. When the logic gets too complex, it becomes hard to test properly. Also, there’s no direct functionality to download images that respondents have submitted.

the Forsta Live (aka Focus Video) platform is awful; creating video clips is not intutitive and the quality is subpar; video freezes; clips take a long time to create; also why must a tech be responsible for video taping? isn't there more intelligent video recording technology?

There should be regular updates on user email for anything new feature or updation rollout.

**Recommendations to others considering Forsta:**

Please please please, make things easier to do, like in Decipher i think a year of experienced person can work on max diff and conjoint. Please do note of small things like pre text, post text to an open box. Have a built-in feature for Trigger implementation. As many of the user might not have a great programming skill set, think for those vendors as well. Rest I love confirm it and want to see him again in TOP.

Frosta is helping us to solve problem in more efficient way and it consumes less time for complex part as well, which significantly increases productivity.

Whilst the product is excellent, I think the part of Forsta that sticks out for me is the support. From onboarding teams, account managers and their support desk. Any question or request gets answered super quick.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

It's really difficult to think of a negative and I don't think I can. At a push I would most likely say that the cost of the reporting licenses does mean I can't provide dashboards to everyone I would like to within the business.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Forsta our main problem was that it would take a long time to update our surveys or build new ones, relying on a third party to set everything up. With Forsta we are in control and it has allowed us to move at a good speed, especially when it comes to ad hoc surveys to gather feedback on pilots we are conducting.

Forsta have a well rounded range of products which help support your CX. We use Forsta for surveys and dashboards. The studio reports are great for showing and analysing.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

The support and training portal can be hard to use at times. It has been improved but I still find it hard to get to the help articles I need to check how things work.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving us a platform to manage our customer experience. Capturing the customers entiment and insight from surveys. We use the Salesforce CRM connector to easily push surveys to Forsta to invite customers.

**What do you like best about Forsta?**

My experience is with Forsta VIsualizations, which is easily the best visualization tool for Market Research. 
It is integrated with databases such as SPSS, and the options for variable handling and graphic design are in line with the needs of a Market Research company.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

The servers are often busy, which leads to an unpleasant user experience for us (but not for our clients) But their response to this problems of often within a few hours.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The work stream has been reduced, and we can offer better timings to our clients. It requires less data processing than other tools, and we can go straight from questionnaire to reports within hours.

**What do you like best about Forsta?**

The biggest plus for Decipher are the dynamic questions skins. There's a lot of them and they are all mobile optimized. Overall the entire layout is mobile optimized. Basic users can create a custom user experience with no advanced scripting needs.
Secondly I really enjoyed the XML interface. It allows for fast change of question types via search replace.
Being able to edit XML also allows for offline work which can be faster at times than working in browser.
Thirdly I was very pleased with their support team. Both the support department as well as their customer satisfaction managers were very quick to give solutions to all of my requests.
As a side note the regular contract allows for an unlimited number of logged in users. Which is a big advantage considering that this allows you to provide your clients with day to day access to the integrated testing and reporting solutions.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

Not really a fan of the python code. Having to create optimal scripting doesn't come easy. I've dabbled in it and found that complex code could be simplified by using integrated function which are not straight forward to learn even though the Knowledge base is pretty extensive. Trial and error really was the way to go, as well as consulting with their support team.
The debugging process is not really straight forward as XML errors get mixed with python errors and JavaScript errors in the same compiler and it takes time to sort out where the actual issue is. Also switching from one editor to the other might reveal errors that you weren't aware of.

**Recommendations to others considering Forsta:**

Decipher is perfect for easy and mid to high complexity scripting with a very competitive speed of execution.
Complex stuff will require extensive experience and support which might eat at the speed of execution.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have looked into Decipher as an alternative to an older version of Confirmit we currently use. There was a huge difference in speed and  overall tool capabilities. We then compared to current version of Confirmit and they're pretty much up to par with each having their own specific advantages. For Decipher it would be: the ability to use XML editing offline, integrated testing solution and integrate reporting solutions.

May be maintain the Orange and white combination like earlier used by the ConfirmIT maintained still.

Mobile surveys and app-based surveys are the ones in demand, and Forsta kind of been ahead in solving these on a timely fashion and keeping the latest tech available, enabling us to be at the top in delivering the surveys in all the modes.

Doesn't allow user to create user defined variables in bulk
Column or row variables cannot be used as Filter variables
Doesn't allow batch charting - same type of charts
Crosstab module allows only 50000 cells
RIM weighting cannot be done on the tool
Appending the open ended coded data to the survey connected via api
For the uploaded dataset, the MRV delimiter cannot be used for other variables. A lot of preprocessing needed to be done.

Dashboard and crosstab requests.
Allowing a lot of calculations

Introducing Forsta to our business has been an absolute game changer. Their CX software solution delivers incredible value and provides us with the insights and data that form the foundation of our business strategy. Their software is well-integrated with our applications; it's efficient, easy to use, and provides a great user experience. Their CX consultants offer expert advice and recommendations, and their account managers and technical support team provide excellent and efficient support. I cannot recommend their products and team enough!

We're yet to experience any concerns or issues with Forsta. Their applications are well-run, and their team is highly efficient.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer Experience is high on our business' priority list. We needed to know more from our customers and report on the data clearly and efficiently. Forsta allowed us to expand on our current CX program, and we have plenty more opportunities ahead of us.

API synced data files. Multiple data files can be uploaded per project, greater control over larger datasets. Many visualization options on story teller. Dynamic icons and images. Benchmarking/drill down and time series functionality. Easy to make bulk text/meta data changes. Easy color management. Hierarchical structures. Personalized dashboard themes.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

Unable to export dashboard/StoryTeller objects as native ppt objects, they get exported as images. Bulk charting is not possible. No syntax writing capability to create/edit variables. Copying objects from crosstabs tool and story creater to story teller is not possible.

It helped me creating dashboards easily for multi brand and multi country datasets.

Forsta provides us with a user-friendly system which allows us easily to collect both quantitative and qualitative insights from Transport Users. This feedback is invaluable in terms of demonstrating our importance to the transport industry and to ensure that the view of customers is considered in the design of transport systems.

There are lots of options in terms of the way that customer feedback can be collected and the results of this work presented. It can sometimes be difficult to decide what the best option is and tricky to find a business case to use some of the options which are available.

We are often asked questions for the transport user view on a specific issue where the answer is required at short notice. Forsta has allowed us to collect these insights rapidly, when required.

The techs - I have always had good experience with FV techs. The project managers are also very helpful, but I really appreciate the flexibility of the techs too.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

The only major downside that I can think of is the challenges some respondents have logging in. I think this has been improved with browser integration and VOIP.

We need a safe, secure platform with a backroom chat for clients to also discuss the research. The stimulus sharing capabilities are also very well integrated between document upload and screen sharing.

The overall experience, survey tracking, the quotas and crosstabs are super easy to use. The editing is very easy and the best part will be that I have never seen a down-time while using the tool.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

I have had some issues with using the Report 2010 tab and it is slightly confusing with the way it is named. Downloading the report is not simplified and the dropdown should have an option to select all respondents that entered/clicked on the survey. All else is great!

I have seen the tool become faster over the time that i have been using it. The data downloads are faster and I have recently seen the feature of capturing images and that has been a great and simple experience.

The support from the Forsta team has been great, the team are always willing and available to help with any queries or questions we have. 

The platform is much more than a survey tool, we use it for both surveys and "data capture" applications internally and externally.

Like with any platform, there are areas which are easy to use and some which are more challenging, we are finding Studio hard to produce the same results, but with the support of Forsta, we are reaching the end goals.

The biggest problem is data collection and consistency; Forsta addresses these with clear and clean data types and gathering. We set each variable with the type (number, text, date format) to ensure we have the data we require in the format we need.

I like that Forsta Viz is always evolving. They also listen to the customers to make improvements. I know that my voice is heard if I have ideas on how to improve the platform.

I dislike that there is no way to alert us if systems go down. It's not a good look when we are alerted by our clients that the portal is down. I would like better awareness of where the systems stand so we can proactively alert clients.

Forst is helping us deliver great insights to our clients. We have been using the platform not only for online reports for clients, but to produce internal reports.

**What do you like best about Forsta?**

Programming, Dashboard, crosstab and multi-layered logic handling capability. This tool is really very helpful in data collection, real-time evaluation, data tabulations. Programming is also very dynamic in term of variable and logic building. This tool has the capacity to handle multi-layered logic, python integration made logic implementation very easy than any other tool available in MR world.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

Although this tool is user friendly in data collections, the questions library (in terms of display and type and look - feel) can be increased. Some of the question setup is very hard to manipulate. For example, in carousel setup, the hide element is harder to implement than a grid.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Forsta helped in collecting data and analyzing it in real-time. Using dashboards, crosstab and reportal, it is very easy to analyse the topline report in real-time which help us to make strategies during fielding time and save a lot of time and money.

Best feature that I like in Decipher is the 'Language Manager' haven't seen such a easy interface with any other tool.

You can even buy samples immediately once your survey is designed one of the best features that i have never seen with any other survey programming tools. With this feature you can buy samples seamlessly and the cost is also very very competitive.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

Two modes that are Live and Draft sometimes confuses beginners.

Dashboard creation - A lot of improvement needs in this area.

Samples buying option is not present for Asia Pacific region.

**Recommendations to others considering Forsta:**

Very good tool to run your surveys. Customer support is also very quick and easy to reach. Definitely consider it if you are looking for any research purposes!

Overall the tool is much better when compared to other survey programming tools available in the market like confirmit, qualtrics, survey gizmo, survey monkey etc. It is very robust tool and easy to learn as well if you are a programmer or not previously.

The first thing I like about Forsta is the ease of access and availability of all the services in a single platform. It is very nicely integrated platform with all the tools and services.
It is one stop tool where all the services are embedded so perfectly that our job gets done much quicker and faster. 
It helps the data analysis process much simpler, and the data insights weigh a lot of value which caters to our client needs.
They display the survey results in a very decent format, which is easy to understand and go through with their filters.
It is one of the best Insight tools to help grow the business.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

1. Cost is the first parameter that is the downside.
2. In a way, adding too many services in a single package is good, but they should offer only those services in their packages that are actually useful.
3. We faced a few programming issues with the tool. The data insights sometimes do not justify the actual data.
4. Sometimes we face problem with the responsiveness in terms of the support.

It solves the problem of using multiple tools as it has everything in one place.

One of the greatest applications for integrating data from market research surveys. It's easy to create surveys and extract data. GUI are also simple to comprehend. The data can be exported in a number of formats, including SPSS and Excel.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

Its really costly, I mean the licence is costly. Also, It takes longer to script complex surveys. Design options are limited, making personalization challenging.

Probably i think gathering data is very important, to make research paper and all. But sometimes it creates problems to integrate. So Forsta is the best tool for that. Data collection is quite good and easy .

Great user interface and a very clean way to show the data. Things are well aligned and well distributed, user-friendly as well easy to understand.charts are easily understandable

There are lots of setting to choose from, which make the experience a bit slow, overall there is nothing that i can point as a negative point, well created and coded.

My experience is primarily with Decipher, now owned by Forsta. I find the questions to be flexible and the analysis options to be easy to use. For the types of market surveys I run, I have everything I need in Decipher.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

Navigation could be better when looking at Crosstab analysis response data. It's pretty slow to scroll down and often strains the browser (and my surveys aren't that crazy big). The sizing is also strange, it's difficult to look at the data for questions with many response options.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Decipher is a good platform to analyze customer sentiment. I do a lot of Voice of the Customer research, especially for B2B products and services, and I find that Decipher helps me collect and analyze the data needed to draw insights.

Their technicians are very helpful to the moderators.  They do try to help the respondents as much as possible.

The charge for every edit needed is little high, considering it doesn't take that much labor.  Also, just trying to get a log in is hard so I always log in as a guest

We just use them for the platform for hosting interviews and some transcripts.  The transcripts are really nice since they can access the files internally and cuts down on the time needed to download and then send to an independent company

ConfirmIt was a very powerful tool.  It was easy to work with, user friendly, client friendly, and programmer-friendly.  At the time we used it, It was the most powerful tool in the industry.

I can say that one of the only reasons we had to leave ConfirmIT/Forsta at the time was solely based on price and price alone.  Had it been more in our range, we would have definitely stayed.

ConfirmIT was later acquired by Forsta.  As far as the problems in ConfirmIT at the time, were a lack of a highlighting text tool, heat maps, and lack of mobile.  They had SODA at the time, and it wasn't very efficient.

**What do you like best about Forsta?**

Forsta Surveys (formerly Decipher) has robust survey tools for building simple to complex surveys. I enjoy the variety of question types, logic, and customization that is available. Sometimes there are surprising limitations that seem unnecessary, but the platform does allow for custom XLM coding to make it more unique. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with XML so this is more of a hindrance than a help.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

Overall the UI is outdated and clunky. There is a steep learning curve to learn the "quirks" of the system. I think the product team should dedicate some serious time and resources to updating and refreshing the UI to make it cleaner, drag and drop, and better button layouts. Sometimes the layout of the page cuts off words or dialogue boxes. Also, sometimes the widgets you drag and drop mess up the XML coding on the back end so you have to go edit the code to fix the error. Also, the reporting features are quick week. Crosstabs are clunky and not straightforward.  Dashboards don't work very well. Very limited on pricing survey features.

Scalable survey platform for our market research needs. Unlimited users is helpful to get more people into the platform. Being able to send email notifications about submissions are also helpful.

Survey programming is easy with this tool. You can apply masking and skipping logic in just some clicks. A high level of customization can be done through its question properties. Survey link testing is super easy with its tool you can see all terminations. Codes and logical flows which is really helpful and time-saving and if you and aware of its all features you can program a lengthy survey in super quick time with an XML editor.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

There is too much to learn about this tool. The knowledge base is good but if they can add more detailed videos on complex programming setups. It will be great.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applying complex quotas and nested or positional quotas is easy and where we have requirements like this we are using this tool in programming to handle such requirements. Without much effort, you can program dynamic or custom questions that gives good look and feel. When we have a requirement of interactive questions I always prefer to program surveys in this tool.

The best part about using Confirmit is its flexibility in allowing other technologies to rest on top of a standard survey. Compared to its competitors, you're freer to be creative.  Their latest iteration has more and more interactive elements available with just a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Forsta?**

Part of the problem with Confirmit is that the business keeps getting passed around, so it's unclear who is genuinely controlling things. Up until recently, they had relied too heavily on Microsoft back-end technologies.  After their last buyout, they made substantial investments to adopt cloud-friendly strategies.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a platform that could generate complex surveys to meet the needs of our high-touch clients.  Confirmit has allowed us to meet their needs and beyond.  With their new cloud strategy, we are ready to continue for many years with this product.

Day to day enhancements to keep up in the Race always. Sophisticated and user adjustable at the same time, very good combination of features and their enhancements in place always.

Well an upgrade and enhancement now and then. I need to ensure to keep on pace with Confirmit. WIth collaboration and now Forsta I would like to have a tool with all the best features of Decipher embedded into ConfirmiT without losing its original coding favour.

Best for feature rich Surveys.  Enhanced data collection, export and reporting. Analytical expertise through Reportal. Overall start to end of the survey life cycle on a single platform. API Integration has been the best, super support team available round the clock. Recent integration with a sample management was excellent example to be linked with ConfirmIT.

**What problems is Forsta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make a survey to be taken in parallel on all the devices without missing the functionalities based on the screen size or device type. Different type of extracts, reporting, analysis, API's a lot we could utilize to potentially connect with all our service providers and cloud applications linked with the Surveys through the API support.
