Follett IT Asset Manager Reviews & Product Details

IT Asset Manager brings device management and help desk support together in one mobile-friendly system built specifically for the needs of K–12 IT teams. Designed for modern districts managing thousands of devices, it centralizes every stage of the asset lifecycle, from deployment and check-out to maintenance and retirement, within a single, easy-to-use platform. Built for true K-12 asset management, the system gives technology leaders complete district-wide visibility into who has each device, where it is located, and what condition it is in. Barcode scanning, asset check-in/check-out workflows, and student and staff accountability tools help reduce loss and improve transparency. Districts that implement structured asset management programs often report measurable reductions in misplaced devices and lower maintenance costs through proactive tracking and preventative maintenance scheduling. What sets IT Asset Manager apart is its built-in help desk. Technicians can view tickets alongside full asset history, eliminating duplicate work and speeding up resolution times. With mobile access, IT staff can retrieve asset data, update tickets, and resolve issues on-site without returning to a central office. The platform also supports 1:1 device initiatives with MDM integrations, centralized dashboards, audit reporting tools, and inventory management features that simplify compliance and budget planning. AI-powered functionality is coming soon to help automate workflows, surface insights, and further reduce manual effort for technology teams. By bringing device tracking and service management into one seamless system, IT Asset Manager helps K–12 technology teams improve accountability, streamline support, and deliver better service with fewer resources.
