**What do you like best about ConexED?**

Currently, the level of support and response has been top-notch.  ConexED has come a long way to address bugs and issues in the earlier version of their solution. The platform is now very stable, but if we ever do run into issues or questions they are very quick to respond and have demonstrated good follow-thru.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

In earlier days we were finding issues in the software along with inconsistent behaviors. At the time it appeared they were more interested in trying out new features over focusing on the current issues. I must qualify that I no longer feel this is the case. In the past year, they have made great progress in addressing issues related to refinements and communication.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, communication is the greatest area of improvement I have noticed with the company over the past 6-9 months. This is GREATLY appreciated as we have many cross-functional areas of support that are now relying on ConexED's solution.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

There are so many ways you can use ConexEd to connect with your students. I especially like how a student can share their computer screen with us if we are on a video call. Also, I like how our off-campus work-study students can clock-in and out and their off-campus supervisors can verify just by us setting them up in ConexEd.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

There is no app for the college to use. We must log in through the website. Many times it would have been easier if we could access it through an app.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have had some calendar integration issues. ConexEd had informed us that they know what is causing the issue and has hired to new employee that is in the process of correcting this issue.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

I like the way the schedule is set up to allow for different times for different reason codes and that you can have in-person or online or phone appointments. I also really like the intake form for counseling appointments. We don't have the bandwidth to take advantage of milestones yet, but I see that feature as very promising.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

The unreliability compared to Zoom. Every single day I have a student who has difficulty adding the audio/video and sharing their screen. For some reason it is more technically difficult than Zoom. Also, I still have issues with my video going out or screen sharing stopping (I know I need to update my browser or clear my cache, but again I never have these problems with Zoom). I also would like to see for drop in an option for students to queue both online and in person. For example, right now drop in is set up perfectly for online students, but I want to be able to have students who come in person check  into an online kiosk and be able to be queued up (we have a current work around where they login with their phones to join the queue, but they keep clicking away on their phones or closing their phones and dropping off the queue).

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling is much easier, which makes it simpler for me to build my schedule and have students schedule their appointments. I also like that it can be used in multiple student service areas (Just hoping for wider school adoption).

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

Self-scheduling meeting feature, a physical kiosk for students to check in for meetings, a chat feature, a student support directory of departments on campus, and a space for notes about students and our meetings with them.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

Numerous things need to be customized for our institution and how we function, which has sometimes been a barrier. The chat window does not have a minimize button which doesn't allow you to do anything else in ConexED while chatting with someone; some required fields are not editable once saved/created in meetings.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have met with ConexED engineers, and it has been extremely beneficial. They take all of our suggestions and ideas and run with them to make them happen. Blake, Rafael and Abbe are all excellent and have been crucial in making ConexED relevant to our institution and students.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

Students are able to make their own appointments at their convenience. The integration with Outlook has been very helpful in staying organized and managing our time.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

Schedule reports don't always meet my needs- We work on a yearly salary/schedule and we are waiting for a report that helps us track that. ConexEd has been responsive to this request and says they will help us generate the report in the future.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConexED is helping students access help and support on campus no matter where they are in the world. Our campus has a lot of online students who live out of the area- it is making it easier for them to connect to counseling, financial aid, enrollment services, or any other support program. Having one scheduling system, along with our data system for MIS, is simplifying our process.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

What I like best about ConexED is the ease of use and all of the bells and whistles that come with the system. When new features are launched, they are included in the existing price.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

Certain features that are launched are not always functional or functioning how they should be. We aren't always aware of updates that happen and are often finding things out by accident.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication of updates has gotten better and those feature launches that don't quite work well are usually fixed promptly (for the most part).

I like that I can test the audio, mic, and camera and that I can also manage these onsite while live.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

I dislike that sometimes I can't hear the counselor talking to me but I can hear them. I also dislike that I have to enter into a separate window on the site in order to see the page that is screen shared and then I have to manually zoom in and zoom out to see. It's more critical on my end but still manages to work at the end of the day.

**Recommendations to others considering ConexED:**

It's a great service to use for counseling appointments but you should get used to it before attending a meeting that has an appointment so that you don't show up late or are delayed by technical difficulties. Also, take advantage of the test mic and camera feature before starting or entering into a meeting.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was working with the screen share feature which seems fairly easy to use but I haven't used it very recently to elaborate more.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

When the program works correctly I can easily converse with my students and share documents with them.  It makes answering math questions much easier!

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

The program fails frequently.  The video or microphones will glitch out with no warning and no amount of changing settings or logging out and coming back in will fix the problem when this happens.  The whiteboard tool would be fantastic, but it does not send everything that is written or drawn unless you write or draw extremely slowly and erasing is a pain because there is no regular eraser.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ConexED to meet with my students who need to discuss problems rather than just talk through email.  As a mathematics instructor it is a valuable resource when it works correctly.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

We use this system to set up appointments with counselors and administrators at our local college. It is an efficient system that allows us to meet face to face via webcam, chat live, and even exchange documents all on one page.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

Nothing! I think every single detail on the system is easy to use and all within "hands reach".

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us solve conflicting scheduleds. Many of the students are new and have hard time navigating through our student portal. With conex, we are able to share our screen and attach documents for easy access.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

I love the ease of booking appointments, getting the calendar link, the appt link, the text reminder, and the evaluation form.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

There have been a few instances where connecting to the servers Cafe did not work, so I was booted out and then my evaluation/assessment information was glitchy since we could not meet yet.  I also had an instance where the instructor had to cancel and then the evaluation/assessment could not be completed for some reason.

**Recommendations to others considering ConexED:**

Be sure to know the schedule of availability for those you are booking with.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to solve the problem of access since I am a remote student.  By using ConexED I can meet with instructors and mentors easily.  I love the chat and the fact that I can go back and access videos of my sessions.

Interactive whiteboards for students and instructors

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

Every whiteboard must be MANUALLY SHARED with EVERY instructor--a process that is repeated over and over again, and should be automated (I should be able to pick a group of instructors from a drop-down list, or I should be able to designate a group of instructors to be added to every whiteboard).

**Recommendations to others considering ConexED:**

If you have a lot of team members who will be "promoted" to moderators and must have access to whiteboards created by the admin, you'll have a hard time sharing all whiteboards, so ask about this when talking with the ConexEd sales team.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tutor students remotely, when they cannot attend in-person.  This allows us to work with customers who otherwise would not be customers!

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

I like that students can schedule appointments with provided time-slots, or drop in for Open Hours without much hassle. I especially appreciate the paper sharing function as an English tutor. It is super convenient for the students to be able to work on the same document as me and see what I'm doing as I'm doing it. The interface is easy to use and pretty intuitive.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

I've had a lot of glitches that have gotten in the way of appointments, but most of those were worked out within the week they started. As Cranium Cafe has grown over the year, it has become increasingly more reliable, so I'm not too worried about that anymore. My biggest complaint would probably be that when you accidentally click off a chat with a student, you can't get back into contact with them unless they message you another time.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConexEd is mainly helping us resolve the issues we experienced during distance/online learning. As tutors, we needed a platform that students could come to at their leisure whenever issues/questions arose, and Cranium Cafe was the best option for that. As we've moved away from quarantine and solely online-learning, we've decided to continue utilizing Cranium Cafe since it provides a whole other level of accessibility for students who are busy or have health concerns. It's also great for disabled students who struggle with the usual tutoring setups. I personally hold open hours both in person and on Cranium Cafe at the same time, so that my students have options for whatever fits their schedules, makes them feel the most comfortable, or is convenient.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

I can log in via my school's portal, so I do not need to remember another password or username.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

1) Settings that you save do not actually work. Ex. Set it so that students can only have one active apt at a time and yet students have been able to book multiple apts.  2) Reminder emails and texts do not consistently go out to students about their appointments.   3) We set a schedule exception, but yet apts were still able to be booked by students.  4) You cannot have different reason codes for the virtual lobby vs the booked appointments within the same group.  5) We want to be able to hide users cards from the student directory b/c they only need access to the group but they do not need to be on the directory because this user does not provide student contact.  6) The Conex Classroom wlll show a session on the registration page so that it appears that there is open space in that classroom to sign up for that session, but once the student fills out the registration form, it tells them the session is full.   7)  Conex changed the navigation for students who arrive to a video apt directly into the counselors cafe instead of going to the "my lobby".  This was a better set up before because "my lobby" allowed for a personalized lobby message to be posted and while the student was waiting they could read it.  There is no setting currently for the cafe to have a personalized message.  8) Not all cell phones or tablets work to connect either the camera or mic for the virtual lobby or the cafe.  Much of the time spent in the meeting is trying to connect with the student and troubleshoot how to get their camera or mic to work and determine if they are on a phone, comp or tablet.

I have reported of all these issues to my school's rep who is in contact with Conex.  None of these issues have been resolved.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

The most helpful thing about ConexED is that you can send links through the chat and they will be pulled up in a browser tab. Having the link automatically pull up a tab is a lot quicker than copying and pasting. It saves time :)

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

I dislike how sometimes if your connection is bad, ConexED will kick you out of the meeting room and say that the server could not be found.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The screen share feature allows individuals in the meeting to show documents, which is quite helpful. The benefit I realized is that you can see the speaker and their screen at the same time.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

Scheduling appointments is very easy and the video call system is user-friendly. It only takes a few clicks to schedule an appointment with someone and I get a confirmation right away as well as reminders leading up to the appointment date. I really like that video calls use closed captioning. The closed captioning is very accurate most of the time.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

I've had some instances where my microphone/camera wouldn't connect properly on ConexED, so sometimes I won't be able to communicate without using the chatbox.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConexED helps me make appointments with college counselors and allows me to easily speak with them from home. During the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no way to go into college and speak with a counselor in person, so ConexED was the only way to do so, and it helped a lot.

Accessibility. ConexEd offers an excellent, secure space to conduct meetings for school or work. I use ConexEd to conduct meetings for school purposes. This has created an excellent environment for connecting via video chat.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

I do not have any dislikes with ConexEd. They are highly professional. The layout of the website is easy to use. They offer help if necessary in a speedy manner.

ConexEd is an excellent tool for any business.

I am using ConexEd for school. It has allowed me to connect with others to further my knowledge and experience. ConexEd has allowed me to connect with other students and teachers to get help on assignments.

I love the Screen Share ability, and the Ask for Help and Chat buttons.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

I dislike that sometimes I "lose connection to the Whiteboard server". 

Other times, I upload an image to the Whiteboard, but I can never delete it. Not even with the eraser tool. I had to color it over with the pen tool on the color white!

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't go to in-person Mathnasium due to Covid-19, so Conex ED lets e do it online.

it allows you to set up appointment and send message even those the staff is offline and it has an option for you to put your appointment to your google claderner

the connection is unstable and it drops without notices and that can be frustrating especially when you are in a meeting with counselors or professors.

it makes scheduling meeting very easy

I like accessibility when it comes to video calls.

**What do you dislike about ConexED?**

On one occasion, a person I met with was having technical difficulties until they used Zoom. ConexED lacked Zoom's user-friendliness.

**What problems is ConexED solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Video calls through a browser have problems that are not present in video calls through software applications. There are a lot more things that can interrupt a meeting this way. I appreciate that it's faster and doesn't require downloading a program.

**What do you like best about ConexED?**

ConexED allows colleges to streamline processes related to video conferencing, appointment scheduling, and reporting completed sessions. I enjoyed using ConexED to video conference with other collegues.

It may get a bit laggy when it comes to using this service. Not sure if it is their end or mine.

Two things I loved about using ConexED, no three actually! 1. It is intuitive and easy to navigate,

Video quality is usually a concern and difficult to work with. Oftentimes things are so pixilated that I cannot make out the other person's hands. When I have 1Gbps internet, this is unacceptable.

**Recommendations to others considering ConexED:**

Try Google Meet. If you can manage the scheduling yourself, then that platform will offer a better experience for video chat and screen sharing. It's a more pleasant experience, and it works on a variety of platforms.

I could more easily use Google Meet. The only reason I use ConexED is that my university uses it for its scheduling system.

I use it for my ASL classes. I love how easy it is to connect with my Sign Pal mentors, who are helping me learn. The connection is excellent, and it is usually effortless to see them.

There have been a couple of times where our video chats have been a bit glitchy and blurry. I don't know if that is an issue with our internet or the site.

That the counselors sometimes decide not to turn on their cameras. Some students may leave their cameras off; in that situation, I think it's okay if counselors leave theirs off.

Seeking help with a tough schedule of classes. I realized that I need to break my head over these issues because there's always someone who has more experience and context than I do. There's no need to reinvent the wheel.

I like CANVAS best because it is easy to work.  ConexED that I could not fix it. Sometimes it is a glitch, but Often I ask IT to fix it.

ConexEd has simplistic buttons and I got to know where to go in one day.

I think teacher/counselors might need to get trained more in order to know how to share their screen.  I think if there were tutorials, that would be nicer.

For school, it is normally organization and getting help on homework.  It is also getting accommodations from the Disability Support Programs and Services at Mission College.

I like that it's convenient for students.

I find the software glitchy if a student is not using a Chrome browser.  I don't like the separate lobby for group and private sessions.  I do not utilize this feature, and I find that feature cumbersome.

We can reach students where they are at.   This feature has allowed students to contact me in other modalities besides coming in the office.
