"Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

Since I started using this folder manifest tool, the greatest benefit has been the peace of mind it provides. It finally puts an end to my constant worry about silent backup failures or files vanishing without any warning. Now, if something goes missing, I’ll notice it right away instead of stumbling upon the problem months later when it’s too late to do anything about it.

The trust and traceability it brings to my workflow are truly impressive. I’m able to prove exactly what was in a particular folder at any given moment, which is invaluable for keeping everything organized and verifiable. It’s like having a permanent receipt for my data, so I never have to guess what was stored, where, or when.

On a daily basis, it saves me a huge amount of time. All those tedious verification and deduplication chores that used to take hours of manual effort are now automated. It reliably finds duplicates, allowing me to free up storage space without worrying about accidentally deleting something important. Overall, it’s made managing my files much more efficient and far less stressful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

At the moment, it operates independently. Adding direct integration with cloud storage services like OneDrive or Google Drive, as well as with research data repositories, would greatly enhance its seamlessness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Improving Workflow Through Better File Tracking"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

I’ve found that when I’m working on multiple projects, FolderManifest’s review section really shines. For example, instead of digging through different folders to double-check versions of a report, I can quickly review everything in one place. That small shift has saved me from sending the wrong draft more than once, and it makes my workflow feel smoother and more reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

Sometimes, the interface may seem a bit less intuitive for those using it for the first time, and it can require a while to become familiar with all of its features. Furthermore, the review section offers limited customization options, which can make it challenging to adapt the workflow to the unique requirements of different projects. "A Must-Have Tool for Clean, Organized Storage"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

I absolutely love the report layout. Rather than being limited to the usual disorganized Windows Explorer view, I now have something searchable and presentable. It’s so much easier to send this to a client or a colleague. It really helps me appear organized and professional when handing off a project, since I can provide a complete manifest of everything I’m delivering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

The main drawback for me is that it is only compatible with Windows. Most of my archive-related work is done on a Mac, and I have not found a way to integrate this service with my Mac computer. Additionally, I wish there were an option to schedule it to run automatically every Friday, so I wouldn’t have to remember to open the app and manually press 'start' each time. "Effortless Project Organization and File Management"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

What I appreciate most about FolderManifest is its ability to efficiently organize and summarize complex project folders. As a social researcher, I often deal with projects that contain numerous files and multiple duplicate versions. FolderManifest enables me to quickly grasp the folder structure, spot redundancies, and manage files in a more systematic way. This not only saves me time but also helps minimize errors. I find these features particularly useful when working with teams or returning to older projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

The main drawbacks of FolderManifest are its restricted capabilities outside of simply listing and organizing files, which means I still have to manually check and manage duplicate files. Additionally, the user interface appears quite basic and lacks intuitiveness, making navigation less straightforward. Processing very large or complex folders also takes an excessive amount of time, which can hinder productivity, especially when working with tight deadlines. "Storage Saver:The Most Reliable Way to Reclaim Disk Space and Detect Duplicates"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

So what I love about FolderManifest is its high-accuracy, checksum-based duplicate search tool that can be used to compare and find identical files even if they have different names. It also has transcends basic file matching by creating full, searchable HTML manifest sets of reports which detail the folder's contents and but only give a clear audit trail, but documents what happened to the folder over time. With the software working 100% offline, I rest assured of protecting my privacy and is now free from spending hours organizing directory and saving storage space. Finaly its very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

The worst part for me is that there's no "undo" when you take an action. The tool deletes the duplicate files in your system directly – they are not just moved to another location, such as a trash or a quarantine. This makes the software a bit high-stakes, because if you make a mistake in your selection, it can’t be undone at this point inside the app. I wish there was some way of a safety net or "Restore" feature in future updates to prevent any accidental data loss. "Simple, Effective, and Surprisingly Useful"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

What I appreciate most about FolderManifest is how simple and efficient it is when it comes to organizing and documenting folder structures. The tool produces clear, well-organized manifests in a short amount of time, which significantly cuts down on manual work and helps minimize mistakes. Its user interface is straightforward and accessible, making it suitable even for those without technical backgrounds. This ease of use supports consistency and transparency, especially when files need to be shared or audited. In general, FolderManifest streamlines workflow and makes managing folders far more organized and dependable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

At times, I find the software somewhat limited when I’m looking for greater control or customization. The export options leave room for improvement, and handling very large folder structures often takes more time than I would expect. Additionally, having clearer guidance or more comprehensive help documentation would make it much easier to use all the features with confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Offline Tool for Folder Insights and Organization"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

The thing I like best about FolderManifest is how simple and effective it is at giving you a clear, organized snapshot of a folder’s contents. It scans folders and produces a detailed, searchable HTML report that shows structure, sizes, duplicates, and file integrity with minimal setup. Reviewers highlight that it’s easy to use and helps keep folder trees clean and consistently tracked over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

One drawback is that scans can feel a bit slow when working with very large or deeply nested folders. Additionally, the feature set is fairly focused, so users looking for advanced automation or more flexible duplicate-management options may find it somewhat limited. "Effortless Drive Cleanup with Lightning Speed and Total Peace of Mind"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

What I love most is how it takes the 'fear' out of cleaning up my drive. I’ve always been terrified of deleting duplicates and accidentally losing something important, but FolderManifest uses checksums (actual file DNA) instead of just looking at names. It’s incredibly fast, and the fact that it works offline gives me peace of mind that my data isn't being poked at in the cloud. It turned my messy 'Downloads' folder from a disaster zone into something actually organized in about five minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

While the tool is powerful, the interface can feel a bit 'old school' or technical at first. If you aren't familiar with terms like 'checksums' or 'MD5 hashes,' there’s a slight learning curve. I wish there was a more visual 'wizard' mode to walk beginners through the process of cleaning up duplicates step-by-step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Folder Organization and Duplicate Detection"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

FolderManifest is a straightforward yet effective tool that simplifies folder organization by swiftly identifying duplicate files, even when they have different names or are stored in various locations, thanks to its checksum verification feature. It produces easy-to-read HTML logs, maintains consistent tracking of folder structures, and helps prevent the worry of accidental file deletions. Fast, offline, and dependable, it can turn cluttered drives into well-organized spaces in just a few minutes, offering users both peace of mind and improved efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

One drawback I've noticed is that handling large folder trees can slow down the process somewhat. Other than this, there isn't much to dislike about FolderManifest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Furnish your folder with a track record to burnish your day-to-day work"
What do you like best about FolderManifest?

I really appreciate how simple it is to use. We have many solutions for creating folder trees, which are essential for project management, but the challenge is keeping those trees clean and consistently tracked over time. FolderManifest does exactly that, and it’s the best part of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FolderManifest?

There’s very little to complain about. The main issue I’ve noticed is that processing larger files can be slower, but I believe the team is likely addressing this already. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
