# Recommended performance monitoring software for IT services

 Does anyone in the G2 community have real-life experience with recommending performance monitoring software for IT services? Datadog, Dynatrace, and Checkmk are the top choices, looking at products and user reviews on G2’s Application Performance Monitoring tools page. See my full software list below.  1. Datadog - Offers a unified platform for monitoring applications, infrastructure, and logs. Its seamless integration with over 600 technologies allows IT teams to correlate metrics across the stack. Real-time dashboards and customizable alerts enable proactive performance management.  2. Dynatrace - Delivers AI-powered observability across complex IT environments. Its Davis AI engine provides automatic root cause analysis, helping IT teams quickly identify and resolve performance issues. The platform's Smartscape technology offers real-time topology mapping, ensuring comprehensive visibility into application dependencies.  3. Checkmk - Powerful open-source APM and infrastructure monitoring platform that’s widely appreciated by system administrators. It offers deep insights into servers, networks, containers, and cloud infrastructure, all from a single dashboard. What sets it apart is its ultra-low resource consumption and strong plugin ecosystem, making it ideal for IT teams managing large-scale systems efficiently.  4.
