It connects Excel directly to corporate data and adds a wide range of reporting, visualisation and analytical capabilities. Users leverage their existing skills and become highly productive quickly. XLCubed's total control over layout and formatting, intuitive user calculations and finance-focused IBCS-certified charting make it the perfect tool for financial reporting. ## FluenceXL Reviews ### 1. XLCubed adds functionality and formulas to a program I use daily. The published reports are easily accessible to the end-users and I can control every folder the end-users can see either by roles or by AD groups. The add-in gives me the ability to create calculations in the report to add on the info in the Cube. The number of possible connections: SSAS, SQL, Oracle, SAP, Google BigQuery, IBM TM1 and many more, keeps growing as well as the number of ways to graphically present data. And support is fast in answering my questions or fixing bugs and adding new suggested functionalities. **What do you dislike about FluenceXL?** The full width of functionalities to build reports requires the add-in to run in Excel. The web version has fewer possibilities compared to the add-in in Excel. **Recommendations to others considering FluenceXL:** If you love working with Excel, you'll love working with XLCubed! **What problems is FluenceXL solving and how is that benefiting you?** Many of our customers are not strong on interpreting data and combining the info from different systems to one picture where it all connects. XLCubed gives the possibility to make it understandable with tables, graphs, charts, drill through, drill down. It also gives me the possibility to add comments to the slices so I can talk with my colleagues or boss. And being able to write back data to the data warehouse using the same reports is very beneficial for forecasts, corrections on budgets etcetera. The reports are distributed via a website and that makes it possible for end users to work from home and being able to e-mail reports via schedules as Excelfile of PDF is perfect! Many of our end users in the higher management want to access their reports by tablet or smartphone and with XLCubed I can make reports responsive to the screen they're using. If necessary, end users can take a deep dive and analyze the information back to the extracted data from every system or even have real-time data in the reports. ### 2. While we implement against Microsoft Dynamics we have also successfully used XLCubed against all types of data. This includes hospitals, manufactures, distributors and financial services providers. I also like that its authored in MS Excel. This is a tool most users are already familar with. Often they have used Pivot Tables so the BI concepts are soemwhat understood. **What do you dislike about FluenceXL?** Is not well suited to "live" reports, but it doesn't pretend that it does. Setting up security can be a bit confusing due to multiple options. **Recommendations to others considering FluenceXL:** I reviewed many BI products before selecting XLCubed. The key drivers for me are Easy to install Easy to create and maintain reports Easy to publish a report to the web portal Support all recent versions of MS Excel Excellent support Plus its very cost-effective **What problems is FluenceXL solving and how is that benefiting you?** - Answer users questions - so saves accounts answering them - Promotes transparency across the organisation - Timely reporting The solution is integrated with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central/NAV. This allows reporting across 2 key areas. 1. General Ledger for financial statements 2. Inventory, which allows reporting of sales by item, category, salesperson, customer... inventory balances The solution is deployed via a web browser with security filtering by dimension. This allows users at branches around Australia to access timely an accurate reports - showing just the data they are allowed to view ### 3. And, because XLCubed is intuitive, the learning curve is short. **What do you dislike about FluenceXL?** We are looking forward to there being training resources for U.S. customers, i.e., on-line classes, certifications, etc. **What problems is FluenceXL solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ability for users to build and own their reports has helped to push the concept of a single source of truth, replacing information housed in multiple Excel workbooks. This complexity must be managed. **Recommendations to others considering FluenceXL:** Get a free sample license and just start playing. There is a YouTube video library I can recommend. **What problems is FluenceXL solving and how is that benefiting you?** We generate standard reports and ad-hoc analyses for our financial reporting with XLCubed. For this, we do not need the support of the IT department and can therefore offer fast and needs-based solutions. ### 5. If you want to go deep into XLCubed functionalities you need practice and training. Sometimes XLCubed shuts down for no obvious reason **What problems is FluenceXL solving and how is that benefiting you?** With XLCubed we are covering all areas of enterprise reporting processes - from standard reporting to self-service BI. Benefits are better information and (due to its closeness to Excel) high acceptance throughout the company. ### 6. The support provides fast and helpful answers. **What do you dislike about FluenceXL?** The sheer number of settings makes finding the correct one to tackle the given challenge sometimes time-consuming.or requires a lot of user experience.
