## Float Reviews
 ### 1. Best in class

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishna A. | Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Float?**

Everything especially the accounting integrations with QBO

**What do you dislike about Float?**

1. Once we select Tax code and if we change tax-exempt amount, the tax figure does not adjust on its own. We have to change tax code to something else and then change back again to have the tax amount updated

2. After bulk edit, when we hit on save button, the transactions get deselected. Sometimes we like to bulk edit one field and after that bulk edit another field one by one but when we hit save, the transactions get deselected and we have to select the transactions again out of the whole bunch. If you make this minor change of the transactions remaining as selected even after we save after bulk edit, that would be fantastic. Seems like a small change but huge impact in time saving.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting Integration. The rules can be selected merchant wise which is always correct because we pay via Float card. In dext, the merchant is identified through OCR which sometimes is incorrect and sometimes when receipt is not there, we have to do it manually through QBO. There are rules in QBO as well but merchant wise rules in Float is great.

The reconciliation of card expenses is smooth.

 ### 2. Super Easy Receipts, Reimbursements, and Bill Uploads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrianna M. | Director of Sales & Customer Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Float?**

Ease of use, uploading receipts is super easy. Requesting reimbursements, top-ups, and uploading bills is easy as well

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Not much at all, it's been great overall!

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's been helping with receipt management, bill payments, expense reports. It's made our processes so much smoother

 ### 3. Avoid Float Card at all costs if you’re a startup.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bradley M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Float?**

Nothing. Their KYC process is awful, not geared towards startups, and has more requirements than any of the Big 5 Canadian Banks.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Everything. Their KYC process is awful, not geared towards startups, and has more requirements than any of the Big 5 Canadian Banks.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing and nothing, stay far away

 ### 4. Continued support and excellence!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya M. | Finance Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Float?**

Since we first started with Float, we have received top notch support and guidance on the transition of so many processes - card spending, bill payment, reporting, and expense reimbursement. Setting up the QBO integration was easy. All the transactions just flow into our books and autocoding prompts and set up make the process a quick one.
When I make a suggestion on how things can be improved, the response I receive the most often is 'our dev team is currently working on that'. The Float platform is streamlined and easy to use. Transition from our old system was an easy process.
I sign into Float first thing every day and it gives me a clear picture of where we stand on our cash flow and spending. I can't imagine ever going without it! I can not say enough how much I believe that Float can make your cash and expense management process easier.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I can honestly say that there is nothing I dislike about Float. Never a single complaint.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Float process makes it easy to view all transactions. The team can easily see their spend, remaining limits, and know what category restrictions they have on each card. I can see what individual users and teams are spending. This eliminates the need for guess work and wasting time tracking down receipts.

Approvals for bill payments are quick and easy. And making the payments directly from Float means skipping a step doing the transfer of information to the bank.

 ### 5. Makes expense reports a breeze

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim E. | Director, outbound Sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Float?**

The mobile app is so easy to use. Sends me a notification once the transaction has gone through, allows me to take a pic of the receipt and submit the expense right there in the moment.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

the user interface can be a bit clunky at times.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I no longer have to save all my receipts til the end of the month and spend hours uploading them 1 by 1. I am also able to manage the funds i need to book flights, hotels, etc. in much faster and easier way.

 ### 6. Save Hours, Not Minutes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel H. | VP of Finance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float is a CFO's secret weapon — real-time visibility that saves time and money

As a CFO juggling multiple priorities, Float has become an essential part of my financial stack. It gives me real-time visibility into spend without the bottlenecks of traditional corporate cards or expense management tools.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

If you're serious about scaling efficiently and want to empower your team without losing control of your budget, Float is a no-brainer.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float automates expense reconciliation, receipt collection, and categorization. My month-end close used to involve a painful chase for receipts. Now, it's done in hours, not days.

 ### 7. Best small business platform to manage expenses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Float?**

Effective way for a small business to manage it's vendors. In a world of subscriptions, we can ensure our monthly expenses are paid without getting overcharged and all flows through to QuickBooks for simplified bookkeeping.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Takes time to transfer funds into and out of the platform. However, now that etransfers are accepted, it makes depositing fund into float instantaneous.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By funneling all our expenses through float, expense management is greatly simplified.
