Finlistics gives you a consolidated view and helps summarize key areas of focus for public companies.  In our industry, these companies are our customers and it's important to understand what they are tasked with so we can help accordingly.

Sometimes there is so much data that it can be overhwelming.  You just have to stick with and and you'll get used to which KPIs are important and applicable to your role.

FinListics ClientIQ helps educate our sales team on our customers and helps show our customers that we are focused and dedicated to them and their company initiatives.

**What do you like best about FinListics ClientIQ?**

The tool is straightforward to pull financial information about companies and compare them to other companies in their industry they compete against and against industry norms.   ClientIQ also has  KPIs around key industry metrics and models for you to build business cases for change in clients.  I have used this extensively in business development efforts with clients that I had relationships with and those I didn't.   In all cases, using the ClientIQ tool enabled me to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the client, deliver accurate insights that can help them improve their position and established my credibility as a consultant interested in their well-being and not just another salesperson.   The output from this tool provides the basis for business conversations that lead to solution selling and not a "hammer looking for a nail.'   This tool helps you both in business development activities and in building pro forma business cases to sell solutions to IT and LoB executives.

**What do you dislike about FinListics ClientIQ?**

There's not much I dislike as I have used several iterations of the tool and it has gotten better every time.  The only thing I can add here is that sometimes the industry divisions are not as granular as I would like.  For instance, the life science industry includes traditional pharma, biopharma, CROs, medical device companies and consumer-oriented companies but the tool treats them the same.  All are quite different and the KPIs are different.  You can use the tool in such a way that allows you to account for those differences, but it is not automatic.

**What problems is FinListics ClientIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above, this is an essential tool for account planning for those who have a "harvest" territory with existing clients and for business development activity for those who have a "hunter" territory.   This tool saves me hours and days to do the financial research and analysis and offers insights out of the box that helps me target the right solutions to the right clients.   Using this tool has helped lead to tens of millions of $ of sales in the 10 years I have been using it.  In the last year or two, it helped lead to a $30M contract at one of my clients.

Ease of use and access to financial data.  Easy and quick time saving research.  The Value Modeler component is a life saver in building business cases.

I have used FinListics ClientIQ for 20 years now and have not found anything to dislike.

We leverage FinListics ClientIQ data for all of our initial account planning sessions and find the benefits to be great insights when initially meeting with customers.  We also use the power of one and value mapping to build initial hypotheses on the potential financial opportunities for our customers.  All of this provides us with much more valuable and targeted conversations with the C-level executives.

I used the industry insights  and the business value map,  is  an excellent tool to  prioriteze the objectives and understand the customer and Industry  situation, Where are the main pains  and how they can work to improve it

The PDF reports are not similar to the web interface, I like the new GUI interface on the Webpage.

**What do you like best about FinListics ClientIQ?**

The ability to quickly pull financial reporting and put it into plain text, such that someone without a finance background can understand, is beneficial. I primarily use the executive summary feature. I also use it to better understand my customer's business cycle without having to source that information from someone in their organization. This information helps me better understand where they are in their budgetary cycle and when I should be having the conversation about future products.

**What do you dislike about FinListics ClientIQ?**

The user interface could be slightly easier to use. I also don't use it at the frequency one might imagine, only when preparing for C-level conversations or researching my new customers. It's also difficult to access Finlistics through my company's internal systems - using the multifactor sign-on seems like overkill for a financial research tool.

It can also be challenging to research private companies. It's not exceptionally intuitive that you have to input a SIC code for a company that IS public of relatively the same size. I wish Finlistics automated that feature.

**What problems is FinListics ClientIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is realizing better discussions to have within the different business units. If I'm speaking to procurement or management, I can tailor my message around the business outcome they're trying to achieve rather than throwing the book at them and seeing what sticks.

The main benefit that I've realized by using Finlistics is greater credibility as a salesperson. Without Finlistics, I wouldn't be nearly as fluent or financially literate as I currently am.

**What do you like best about FinListics ClientIQ?**

When preparing for a conversation with a leader at one of my customers I can spend 10 minutes on ClientIQ and arm myself with enough relevant information about company financials to ask the right questions and establish credibility. Makes is so easy to understand! I also like the peer comarison. We work with alot of companies that are alwasys being metric'd against their competitors. Being abel to demonstrate that they are lagging behind their competitors in certain areas is very valuable!

**What do you dislike about FinListics ClientIQ?**

Unfortunately I work with another of private companies that do not publish financial inforation to the public. The industry trends reports are useful but do not provide relevent information for my specific customer. Also When comparing to industry peers I wish the tool woud automatically add the most revelant competitors. Sometimes is difficult to select who is the most releveant in their industry.

**Recommendations to others considering FinListics ClientIQ:**

There is no easier way to consume companies financial statements thatn using finlistics. Highly recommend to anyone in search of training their sales community.

**What problems is FinListics ClientIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work for a product sales company. We are tasked with connecting our solutions to larger business objectives. This can be challenging but during our internal training, we leveraged the tool to correlate our solutions with the expected business outcomes. Very Powerful! AS part of my job I need to prepare presentations to demostrate how we are going to strategically approach our customers. THis tool allows me to capture  this information in a format that I can easily promote to management.

ClientIQ collects public data and competitors' data for you so that in 5 minutes, you end up with a benchmark analysis. Probably you would pay a few ten thousand dollars worth of management consulting right in front of you.

When you start engaging with a value modeler, you can come up with the next-best-action list quickly, "What to offer to the client to achieve better." 

Then with the ROI calculators, it's pretty fast both for you and for your prospective client to see what's at stake if you don't act. This process quickens the understanding process and the sales cycle very much...

I would love to see some best practices collected or press releases provided, which will help clients visualize the results of pieces of advice.

A lot of the information seems to be automatically populated and duplicated.  It comes off as specific sections are applicable for multiple companies.

Finlistics is an excellent resource for information on specific companies and for overall industries. The tools allow fro easy illustration of where we can provide calue to our end customers buiness.

The tools allow for as  much or little interaction as you would like which can be overwhelming when first getting comfortable with the site.

The tool gathers information about accounts from various sources, and this is helpful. It also manages to give scenario simulation, which is handy in preparation for discussions with customers.

When the tool updates, it forgets your saved preferences. This is not that of a big issue, just a slight inconvenience to have to mark your accounts, favourite again.

**What do you like best about FinListics ClientIQ?**

I love the fact that I can see, in detail, why a customer is doing well ot not doing well and why. Days in Inventory, Year over Year Sales, and details around why. This gives me the tools and information I need when working with a customer. Having all this data on your customer makes you sound like you have a vested interest in their business and understand the inner workings of their organization.

It would be nice to have access to this type of information for non publically traded organizations.

Use it before you first call. Have this in your back pocket when speaking to C and V level. The details you can pull off Finlistics make you sound like you know the organization you are calling on.

Knowing where I can fit my solution into the business and why makes a huge difference and takes the guess work out of my messaging.

Industry Blueprint is the best, company trend and executive compensation is my favourite, and peer comparison also great

**What do you dislike about FinListics ClientIQ?**

For the technical or beginner one like me for reading the growth and profitability is quite hard. It will be good if having a summary for "translate" and "mapping" the up and down graffic into business capability. So, your customer can know which one business capability that company need the most base on their performing YoY. And one more thing, If you can make the connection between that business capability into Cisco produt that will be ridiculous awesome, I am 100% sure that all Cisco employee use ClientIQ forever.

Knowing the company trend, business capability, and knowing their KPI is helping me a lot when I meet with the executive or business user, I can speak on their language and speak they need. Before ClientIQ, I only guessing or asking for a friend and takes more time.

I loved that the insights provided are based on background data I  had not previously considered.  Showing the root of where we need to focus our attention vs what I believed where we need to focus was extremely helpful!

Logging in...  I kept having to figure out how to log in to this tool.  Thankfully, I can go in to our intranet and figure it out.

We are positioning a large sale by showing the big picture results vs the sale price only.  I  really appreciated seeing why I should take a different approach to my sales tactics with my customer based on overall insights in ot their busineess.

It provides a very detailed overview across many different industries with current, key value drivers. Helps you to prep before the meeting, helps you prepare your business case after your meeting. Scenario analyses are very useful.

The financial modelling tools are useful when you are dealing with business problems that have a direct and material impact at the financial statement level. In a lot of selling scenarios that may not be the case.

It helps to attack opportunities in a structured way that brings you up to speed on clients' key drivers, their financial performance relative to their peers, and where you could potentially drive a material impact.

**What do you like best about FinListics ClientIQ?**

Before meeting with the customer, it is great to use this site to understand more about their business and what matters to them. Between the analysis of the actual business to the industry insights, the research left me much more prepared to face my new customers. I was also able to come up with some helpful insights with their value modeler. It gave some "concrete" (based on my company's data) assessments of how valuable my solutions would be for the customer and gave them in an easy to consume format.

**What do you dislike about FinListics ClientIQ?**

I didn't notice anything that I found problematic. The only downside really is that it relies upon publicly traded information - which means if a customer isn't public, there's only industry data to use. But honestly, that's a reasonable "downside" to have since private companies intentionally don't have a window into their dealings.

**What problems is FinListics ClientIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been asked to "have a PhD in your customer." This site helps to contribute to the depth and breadth of information we need to have in order to achieve that level of insight. FinListics ClientIQ is always my first stop as it gets me furthest fastest.

**What do you like best about FinListics ClientIQ?**

Financial and historical data getting us closer to our clients' reality. It is very useful when you need to make sure your client had any financial problems in the past or with your company itself. Also delivers a wide vision of your client inside your company, telling you exactly how many contracts they've had, how many touchpoints and which, what they bought, and what has to be renewed.

**What do you dislike about FinListics ClientIQ?**

None or not enough updated information can mislead our research. Feels like my company stopped worrying about the solution and didn't update it any longer. Or maybe the solution wasn't getting the right information from our CRM. Since it is a multinational company, clients from my country were not there or just wasn't updated frequently.

**Recommendations to others considering FinListics ClientIQ:**

Be sure your company is correctly using this tool and updating it accordingly. With not enough data you can be using false information or having a false idea of the client and its relationship with the market. Also, try to engage with your client and confirm that information together, creating rapport as you have the best understanding possible of the full picture. The clients I've done this with thanked me for the opportunity of providing the information before I tried to show them how much I already knew.

I could solve part of the problem of client research and historical understanding since not all data available was actually useful. Coupling those summaries with with market analyst and FinListics analysts inputs greatly reduces the time it takes to interpret financial reports in a traditional manner.  The built in KPI's and ROI tools are easy to use and help with financial metrics that show how your tools could impact a client's business and profit margins.

The detailed information is limited to publicly traded companies (as expected), but if there were a way to get more details on privately held companies - this solution could be unstoppable.

In a time where clients have to do a greater job of justifying the solutions they want, the financial metrics aspect of ClientIQ reduces the mean time to decision.  By being able to show financially and specifically with their financial data, it helps clients round out their business case.  It's much better than using generic percentages over numbers that aren't specific to your client.  Armed with this financial data, sets you apart from other solution sellers and competitors.

Specially taking in consideration that I never found a web site with the same resources of those that I found here at FinListics. So I had a good suprise when I was told that Cisco had this resource available , I was working abroad by the time that I used it so it helped me a lot in that situation where did not have a deep knowledge about the marketing that I was searching.

Private companies are not specifically in the data, but we always are able to provide insights to private companies by comparing them to their industry (or SIC code) peers and industry aggregated data.  When possible, we capture the company's data for comparison.

If you don't have ClientIQ, getting industry comparisons with other sources with this level of detail is very tedious, and impossible in some cases.  You should evaluate the time spent searching for this information, the quality of the results, and the value of these insights to your own business results.

We are providing assessment of the potential value realized as they strive for best practices. You can download great reports that can be shared with a client and they give great credibility when you walk in the room. You have everything you need in one place in a format that is easy to extract insights from.

I thought the tool at first could be a little overwhelming with some of the features but after the training, I felt very comfortable and confident in my usage of the FinListics ClientIQ tool. Finlistics is a very intuitive tool and easy to use. There are a lot of different ways to research clients and industries. I specifically like the fact that all the information is constantly updated. This is really helpful because it saves me a lot of time.The value modeler provides a ton of different ways to create a business case. I also like the fact that you can save a business case and revisit and update it later on.

There is one big downside of Finlistics in my opinion. It is not very relevant for everyone. In a previous role I worked with rather small clients in Europe. Many of these companies were not on Finlistics. Some of these small companies were, but information was outdated and not useful. This is a critical point for me because a large number of sales people works with smaller clients. In general, Finlistics seems to focus more on US companies than European companies.

Focus also on smaller companies. This way your software becomes more relevant to a larger base of potential users. Also make sure that you include companies from every part of the world, not just focusing on the United States of America.

The information is nicely consolidated into views that align with the different priorities of C-level executives and business function verticals.  It makes it easy to pick a summary based on who you will be meeting.  The interface is also very well organized, loads quickly, and makes it easy to find what I'm looking for.  The colour scheme is pleasant.  It interfaces with our company Single Sign On without any hiccups.  It enables the production of client-facing reports that show our company branding alongside the Finlistic branding that allows us to leverage the tool as a value-add in our client interactions.

Many companies, even publicly traded ones, are missing from the industry search list.  It can be difficult to find specific companies.  The companies that are there are covered in much detail but the range of included companies could be greatly improved.  It seems very US-centric.  I work mostly with Canadian clients, so it would be great to see more publicly traded Canadian companies included, such as the list of companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
