The options for inputting data are very simple. The program has many default crimes already available, but admin users can add more based on local jurisdiction. There are numerous drop down boxes that are easy to understand. It is also a very stable program. I don't recall it ever crashing while I'm using it. **What do you dislike about ARMS?** The dispatch features are more complicated compared to earlier versions. It takes longer to train new dispatchers because of this. **Recommendations to others considering ARMS:** If the software doesn't have a feature you need, contact the ARMS people, and ask if it can be added. They might surprise you. We asked about modifying the program and they were able to change a few things for us. It never hurts to ask! **What problems is ARMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** This program handles all of our departments needs. We use it for all police report writing and dispatching. There are thousands of individuals entered into the Master Name file of the program, which makes it a lot easier to enter them into future reports. The fleet management section is very useful for mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records. There are sections for property/evidence inventory, Clery Act statistics, suspect vehicle information, etc. If it has to deal with police work, there's a section in the program for it. ### 3. It is really user friendly, and easy to use! Not a lot of training needed to be able to navigate the system on your own. Used for CAD, officer reports, uploading citations and personal information of individuals officers get out with. Very versatile. **What do you dislike about ARMS?** So far, I don't think there is really anything that I dislike about this system. As stated before it is very user friendly. Just fill in the blanks, and go! One issue might be that if an officer changes last names, it changes all of their previous calls and reports to their new name, instead of keeping the old name. There could be some easier ways to find previous calls, especially if the person searching doesn't know an exact date, cad number, or report number. It is somewhat difficult to just search by date and scroll through. **Recommendations to others considering ARMS:** It is a great system! **What problems is ARMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Not solving any business problems necessarily. It is very beneficial system that dispatchers, officers, and administration can all use.
