What do you like best about Dynalist?

I switch easily between the online and local versions, so I can keep working even with limited connectivity. I rely on its endless nested lists to structure everything– while language compatibility and bulk editing save me time when managing large amounts of information. "Best Note-Taking Application!"

What do you like best about Dynalist?

It's the best note-taking application in my opinion. I love Dynalist and have been using it extensively for the last 10 months. There are tons of things I like about it -

1. Lightweight and cross-platform. I use it on my Ubuntu machine, Browser, and phone, and it works so flawlessly without any performance issues, no matter how big the document gets, it always runs smooth.

2. It's simple and not over-engineered. I don't lose my focus when I'm working on my notes. The UI/UX is absolutely uncluttered and I love it.

3. Minimalistic approach of Dyanlist is highly appreciatable. You become aware of the environment pretty easily and you don't have to "find" things as the option visibility is pretty straightforward.

4. I like the customization features because the app isn't bombarded with 100s of options. The limited customization lets you invest more in the work and less in the looks.

5. Synchronization between devices is neat and blazing fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dynalist?

It's not something that I dislike, but an improvement that I'd suggest is - In the app, there should be a separate section for bookmarks saved from the web. At the moment, I have to create a separate file where the URLs get saved, but this should be by default. In the top-left corner, there can be another option to show "Bookmarks from Web" next to the default bookmark section of Dynalist. It will also prevent from the notes getting mixed up from bookmarked URLs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dynalist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I've used countless TODO apps and at last, I'm settled with Dynalist because it saves my time in so many ways. The documents get loaded fast, the application opens quickly, and switching from one document to another doesn't require not-too-many-clicks, one-tap to create/transfer a file or folder. These things save a lot of my time. The rich markdown support is something that I really like in Dynalist. The application comes with enough keybindings in the free version which feels enough for the task I do. Last but not least, it's one of the best todo/note-taking applications I've ever used and I'll stick to it because it has all the features that I search for in note-taking applications. What do you like best about Dynalist?

You can quickly organize notes via nested bullet points, link to other notes anywhere, and collapse/expand your notes for easy access to a very complex note structure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dynalist?

I wish that there were more heading styling options. It seems that the developer has shifted their work to Obsidian.md and will not be developing many new features for Dynalist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Dynalist:

There are a couple of alternatives that may work better for others, but I preferred the feature set of Dynalist. Workflowy is more well-known and well-supported, but does not have heading options. The developer of Dynalist is now working on Obsidian.md, but it is much more complex and can really only be recommended to those who are 1) developers, 2) willing to pay a bit more, 3) willing to fiddle with plugins to customize their experience. What problems is Dynalist solving and how is that benefiting you?

I needed a way to take complex, nested notes to get my creative ideas written down quickly while on the go. Dynalist helps me keep my thoughts organized, and allows me to quickly add new notes to previously created sections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best list tracking tool"

What do you like best about Dynalist?

Dynalist is my favorite planning tool. It is an elegant and intuitive application with high utility! It lets me organize ideas into logical groups via bullet points and also allows nesting of lists. Points can be reordered on my list by copy-pasting it where I want to be based on priority. In addition, these lists can be expanded and collapsed, which makes consumption of large documents easier. The search functionality works blazingly fast and makes Dynalist powerful. Text editing features like bold, italics, strikethroughs, etc. make the tool more powerful. Everything is in the cloud and if you're a pro user like me, you can get daily backups of your work on dropbox and google drive. I use Dynalist for my personal as well as professional needs. What do you dislike about Dynalist?

One issue I have faced is that when I copy-paste text from lists using my keyboard, "Ctrl-c" and "Ctrl-v", it does not work as desired. I have observed this when working with big documents. In addition, if I want to upload a file, I know I have to drop the file into the workspace. The file gets uploaded and a link to the file is generated and is shown in a pop-up. If I close that pop-up, I still don't know how to access that file. I know I can access the file via the Upload Manager, but the UX is a little non-intuitive. Recommendations to others considering Dynalist:

Definitely give it a trial and you will find that you will love using the product not just for work, but also for aspects around your personal life. It is very easy to use and extremely handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
