## About DoorVault
DoorVault is the asset management platform for real estate investors who use property managers. Most landlord software is built for people who self-manage. DoorVault is built for the investor who uses PMs and still has to run the money side: reconciling PM statements, filing documents, tracking NOI and equity across multiple properties and multiple property managers, and prepping taxes. Knox, DoorVault's AI, unifies every property manager into one owner dashboard, reads and reconciles every PM statement, processes any document you forward or upload across 72 plus types, tracks loans, equity, and Section 8 compliance, and watches the portfolio nightly. Forward any property email, upload a file, or sync a folder, and Knox handles the rest, proposing every change for your review before it touches your data.

**What do you like best about DoorVault?**

We use DoorVault's PM Module alongside Rent Manager at Cartersville Rentals LLC. Rent Manager remains our day to day property management system. DoorVault gives our PM team a separate professional workspace for reporting, documents, integrations, and owner communication. When we invite an owner, the DoorVault investor application becomes that owner's portal. Our team works in the PM Module, while the owner gets the investor view of the properties and reports connected to their account.

The owner reporting is especially strong. I can move from portfolio totals into property detail, P&L, rent roll, delinquency, maintenance, and owner statements without rebuilding the same packet in multiple formats. The Rent Manager connection matters because DoorVault works with the system we already use without forcing us to replace familiar workflows.

Knox PM Mode is also genuinely useful. It can help create work orders, review delinquency, calculate late fees, generate reports, and draft notices from the same PM context. Smart Import is valuable when information arrives as a PDF instead of clean data. For Section 8 work, the HUD Splitter and the ability to keep tenant and HAP portions visible are unusually practical.

What stands out most is the owner experience. DoorVault is not only an internal PM dashboard. The PM Module serves our team, while the DoorVault investor application serves as the owner portal for our clients. Owners get a clear view of their portfolio and the records behind it, and the PM gets a cleaner way to explain the numbers. It feels designed by people who understand both sides of the relationship.

**What do you dislike about DoorVault?**

The biggest drawback is that DoorVault does a lot, so the first few sessions require some orientation. The expert views surface a large amount of information at once. A more guided onboarding path, saved report presets, and more inline explanations would make it easier for a new PM team to know where to start.

On the PM side, RentManager has the deepest direct integration today, while other PM platform adapters are still catching up. That does not take away from the value for our current setup, but firms on other systems should confirm exactly which workflows are available. I see this more as the tradeoff of a product that is growing quickly than a fundamental weakness.

**What problems is DoorVault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DoorVault connects the PM side of the relationship to the owner's portfolio view. We keep using Rent Manager for day to day property operations. Our team uses the DoorVault PM Module for PM workflows, reporting, documents, and owner communication. Owners use the DoorVault investor application as their portal. That gives each owner a clearer view of the properties we manage without asking them to work inside our property management system.

Before DoorVault, answering an owner's full question about income, expenses, distributions, occupancy, maintenance, documents, and overall property performance usually meant pulling information from several reports and explaining how the pieces fit together. DoorVault gives that information a consistent structure. Rent roll, P&L, delinquency, work orders, owner statements, and property detail can be reviewed from the same PM environment.

Smart Import is useful when a statement or supporting record arrives as a PDF. The HUD Splitter gives Section 8 teams a practical way to allocate bulk HAP deposits across tenants and confirm the result before it reaches the ledger. Knox PM Mode can also help create a work order, check delinquency, calculate late fees, generate a report, or draft a tenant notice from the same operating context.

The benefit is more consistent reporting, clearer owner communication, and less risk that an important detail stays trapped in a PDF, spreadsheet, or inbox. DoorVault does not replace Rent Manager or the property manager. The PM Module serves our team, and the investor application gives the owner a useful portal for the information behind the portfolio.

 ### 2. One dashboard across 4 property managers

**What do you like best about DoorVault?**

Knox automation and the unified PM workflow are what I like best. I work with 4 different property managers across 10 properties, and DoorVault finally gives me one place where the data comes together. Knox reads PM statements, files documents, creates transactions, helps reconcile deposits against what the PM reported, and keeps the portfolio view current. It is not just document storage or bookkeeping. It actually understands the investor side of rental ownership.

**What do you dislike about DoorVault?**

The only downside is that there is a learning curve because DoorVault covers so much of the investor back office. Setting up properties, PMs, document flows, bank reconciliation, cloud sync, and reporting takes a little attention at the beginning. Once everything is connected, though, the time savings are obvious and the system becomes much easier than the spreadsheets, folders, and PM portals it replaced.

**What problems is DoorVault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DoorVault solves the fragmentation problem for me. I have 10 properties and work with 4 different PMs, so before DoorVault I had data spread across PM portals, emails, PDFs, cloud folders, bank history, and spreadsheets. Now the PM statements, documents, transactions, cloud-synced files, and bank reconciliation all flow into one portfolio view. That saves time every month, helps me catch PM statement or deposit issues faster, and gives me a much cleaner source of truth for reporting and tax prep.
