# Which property management platforms sync directly with accounting software like QuickBooks without manual entry?

I've been mapping out which property management platforms sync directly with accounting software like QuickBooks without manual entry for a landlord tired of re-entering the same transactions in two systems. The distinction that matters is whether it's a genuine two-way sync or just an export button that still needs someone to reconcile it. Here's what stood out in the Property Management category on G2.

AppFolio. Built-in accounting means rent, fees, and expenses post directly without a separate QuickBooks step at all. Best for landlords wanting accounting built in rather than synced.

Buildium. Offers a direct QuickBooks integration alongside its own accounting module, useful if your accountant already works in QuickBooks. Best for landlords whose bookkeeper uses QuickBooks.

ResMan. Integrates with general ledger systems including QuickBooks, aimed at portfolios that need the sync to hold up at scale. Best for larger multifamily operators.

Yardi Voyager. Has its own full accounting suite, so the QuickBooks question usually becomes whether to replace QuickBooks entirely rather than sync with it. Best for portfolios ready to consolidate onto one system.

One thing worth checking directly rather than trusting the integration marketing copy: whether the sync handles security deposits and prepaid rent correctly, since those are the two line items that most often land in the wrong account when a sync is shallow.

For landlords or property managers who've actually run this integration day to day, did it hold up at tax time, or did you end up reconciling manually anyway?

We run Buildium alongside QuickBooks and honestly the sync has held up better than I expected. Security deposits and prepaid rent both land in the right accounts without me having to fix anything manually at reconciliation time.
