  ### 3. Neutral but informative

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2023

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

Different options available to open aspects in critical thinking. Sometimes mime blocks slow us down with the simplest ideas... this helped create a way around that.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

A little broad in some contextual information I'm my fields of study. Not that this doesn't help in some areas, but in many ways it pushed me to want more or hope there was more.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connect ideas to concept. I tend to use blooms to write course objectives
This could help open ideas to connect different levels in the structured tiere elements I use during that development phase

  ### 4. ThinkUp! is a very solid product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I like ThinkUp's approach; it is very systematic and highlights important things in education. It seems like there are common sense principles that are combined with data-driven systematic insights.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

While they are incredibly inclusive, I would appreciate more materials that are dedicated to children with special needs regarding development issues, etc. Otherwise, not much to dislike!

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThinkUp is helping us to be more data-driven in our approach to learning. It also allows us to automate a lot of menial tasks. Being able to track efficiency is very important for us for constant improvements.

ThinkUp hasn't helped me solve any business problems persay. But it has allowed me to reframe my focus.

  ### 6. Amazing Rigor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aimee I. | Math Academic Support Teacher/ Title 1 Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I love the progression on the Think Up Books! I love that it goes from games, vocabulary, and review to independent practice to an assessment. The questions have rigor and are in depth which help develop their problem-solving thinking. I love the online feature which is great when you are working with your team to develop lesson plans. All the grade levels at my campus use the think-up books! It was wonderful to start exposing our students to rigorous word problems.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I think it would be great to have more fluency in the Math Think- up books. I think the reading think-up books needs to have more vocabulary and grammar skills in the books.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

I enjoy using the think-up books! They help push our students to the next level of thinking. I enjoy that it aligns with our TEKS.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized that our students are more prepared when students are using the think-up books. They have less anxiety when taking their State assessment because they have seen questions that are in-depth and show that same type of thinking. As a title 1 campus, we noticed that our students are being exposed to the different content they need to be prepared for the state assessments.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Aimee! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been a rigorous tool for your campus and that your students are feeling prepared for their state assessment. Your feedback is important, so if you have anything additional to share, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 7. ThinkUp! is an asset to any classroom!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandy B. | 5th and 6th grade math teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I have used ThinkUp! for several years now. It is an asset to my students' success. It is rigorous and covers all of the TEKS. After using ThinkUp! all year the students are prepared for the state assessment. I am glad there was some skills practice added to the program this year.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I love the activities provided in the teacher's edition. I just wish they were not all teacher-made. Also, the new online interactive videos are slow and monotonous to the older students. They lose interest before finishing.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The students are learning how to use higher-order thinking skills to solve real-world problems. Before I only used ThinkUp! as a supplement, but with all of the new components, it makes a complete curriculum.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Brandy! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been an asset to your students' success. Your feedback is important, so if you have anything additional to share, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 8. Think Up Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan R. | Math Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

Every lesson is split into different kinds of activities from pre-assessments and vocabulary activities to post-assessments. So, I like the fact that I don't have to be looking for many other resources to supplement instruction. Everything is in one single workbook and one platform.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I don't dislike anything from the workbook or the platform. What I would like to have more is time to be able to do every single activity in the workbook and watch every single video on the platform. Unfortunately, our curriculum and time frame don't allow us to do that.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

Use every section for the intended purpose of the workbook and the platform.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started using Mentoring Minds to supplement our Math textbook several years ago. That was our major problem. Our original textbook was not really giving us enough practice exercises that could really resemble the State exam. For this reason we started using MEntoring Minds, but it was so good that we ended up using it as our main source of instruction. Now, our district has decided to use Think up as our main textbook.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Susan! We're so thrilled to hear that ThinkUp! has been such a valuable resource for your district. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 9. Great Staar challenging questions.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca H. | 5th grade Math Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I think it challenges students as they need for the Staar test. It is a great resource to be able to use in the classroom for all ages. I have taught 5th and 6th grade and loved this every year.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Some of the questions are a little challenging and harder than staar level but overall pretty good. It would be nice to have multiple levels of questions for low, medium, and high kids.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits have been great with my honors students, it challenges them a lot. In the past, it has helped with closing some gaps with students and get them on track for the net year.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Rebecca! We're so glad to hear ThinkUp! has challenged your students and helped close gaps. Your feedback is important to use, so please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com with any additional feedback. 😊

  ### 10. Think Up

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo O. | Educator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The online version is so student-friendly and also teacher friendly. Definitely more convenient than the hard copy. I have. I used other books and definitely nothing like Think up.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I have used this book for a while, not sure to find anything that is inconvinient.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All my SE's are covered in a rigorous manner, compared to the book adoption from my district.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Pablo! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been a rigorous resource and the Teacher Toolbox has been user-friendly. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at ahartley@cainc.com.

  ### 11. Awesome resources!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sherri D. | Instructional coach, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I love the motivation stations because those are ready made activities that require very little prep and the students really enjoy them!

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

The only downside is that I wish there were more independent practice questions or a section for intervention in the student workbook. I think teachers would appreciate that if they pull students, they've already got some question samples to work with.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits of think up for my campus is we use the questions and online resource to develop common assessments and teachers use the small group, whole group and intervention activities with their students.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thanks for your review, Sherri! We're so glad to hear that the ThinkUp! activities have been helpful for your students. Your feedback is important, so if you have anything additional to share, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 12. TEKS Aligned Resource

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The questions are aligned with the TEKS. It has examples and scaffolding for users of different levels. The questions are rigorous enough but not too challenging for students to complete them independently.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

It doesn't have step-by-step explanation and not enough examples. Teachers will need to utilize other resources for explanation before assigning pages for students to practice on Think Up Math. Some chapters contain a mix of questions instead of focusing on individual skill sets (e.g. 2-D and 3-D figures are together, but we teach them separately), which makes it hard to assign to students sometimes.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We mostly use the review and practice questions. The games are pretty good as well. I like how students can practice word problems with high rigors. There are various sections that users of different levels can use.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thanks for your review. We're glad to hear that ThinkUp! has had helpful questions for all levels! Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 13. Valuable Math Resources with few clicks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa P. | Gifted Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

ThinkUp! Provides a variety of math lessons and activities on various levels of readiness within a few mouse clicks.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

It would be helpful to have more no-paper-required activities for high achieving math students.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThinkUp! is bringing a plethora of resources to a single resource location. These are vetted resources.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Lisa! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been a valuable resource for your students. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at ahartley@cainc.com.

  ### 14. Thorough and Motivating!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pamela B. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

Each lesson is thorough and concise. It really motivated my students to get into the concept and explore it from different ways .

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

It isn't differentiated to the SPed level. It was geared more for my creative learners.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me be creative in my lesson planning so that I cover all of the bases in an engaging way. It captures the concept so I'm confident I've taught it .

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Pamela! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been motivating your students. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at ahartley@cainc.com.

  ### 15. Think Up is a FANTASTIC way for my students to apply their learned reading skills knowledge!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I love how Think Up has been added to the Ready Reading Teacher toolbox. It is the best of both worlds in one area for teachers to easily access excellent curriculum.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I wish that the Think Up Units of study were more in line with the skills from Ready Reading. I also feel that it could be a little more vocabulary-centered so that it is prepping my students for their EOGs.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Think Up is what I use to basically help my students apply what they learned in the Ready Reading and give them more access to rigourous and challenging text. My test scores this year were great because of this plan!

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! and Ready have been helpful resources for you. Your feedback is important, so if you have anything additional to share, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 16. Great resource that is connected to TEKS!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tippitina H. | Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The online asssessments are a great tool to support our kids needs!

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I Love it all! Everything is great! Great tool!

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Think up staff is always available to support our needs

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Tippitina! We're so glad to hear ThinkUp! has been a useful tool for supporting your students. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at ahartley@cainc.com.

  ### 17. Our Students Are At An Advantage Because of ThinkUp!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea W. | Lever Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The program and activities are easy to navigate in both English and Spanish. It has great assessment questions that mimic high rigorous questioning! We use this resource to close learning gaps and have students work daily toward mastery. We use it not only in our direct instruction but also as a tutorial resource for students in a small group.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Paper can be an issue at times, but our campus has found a way to download the PDF and post it in the Google Classroom for our students. We also have designed ways to use see-through folders with dry erase markers to work out questions.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Individual learning with differentiation can be challenging to create on my own but not with the help of ThinkUp! Many times students have various needs and need reinforcement of concepts they need support with to grow as learners. I can easily pull activities that meet the needs of my students with ease and know that the work created will mimic the rigor of STAAR.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Andrea! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been a helpful tool to grow your students. 😊 Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com.

  ### 18. TEKS Aligned Math Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antoinese P. | Curriculum Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

ThinkUp Mathematics is a great math program that embodies critical thinking and real-world experiences that embed the TEKS throughout the program. Students are allowed to explore problem-solving situations that require students to think and justify their responses. Each lesson includes Learning Targets, Misconceptions, Teacher Tip and even Pre-Assessments. In addition, the teachers have access to vocabulary, literature connections, and formative assessments.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Honestly, I could not find a single component that I was not a fan to have. Every part of this product seems to be purposeful and beneficial to students and teachers as they implement the ThinkUp! product.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThinkUp Mathematics is a great supplemental program to use with students in small groups for a multitude of reasons, advanced learners, struggling learners, enrichment for the whole class as the teacher reviews previously taught skills. Another key element that is helpful is the Home Connections where students can work with their parents as they bring math to life at home.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you so much for your review, Antoinese! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! Math has been a useful tool for your classroom! Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback you would like to share, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. We would love to hear from you! 😊

  ### 19. Think Up!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heidi G. | M, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I liked the access to the TE and student books online. The pre assessments were also very useful!

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I disliked that their were not as many scaffolding problems for students to practice.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

It is a great resource

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits are using the small group lessons for students who need extra help and also the extension activities for the students who need to be pushed.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Heidi! We're glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been useful for small groups and extension, Your feedback is important, so if you have anything additional to share, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 20. Rigorous Problems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The problems are challenging for students. The materials are online and can be uploaded to google classroom or other platforms. The I-ready materials are a bonus

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I like the videos but wish they would be for students for at home learning. I wish that you could print without having to do a bunch of clicks to get a page printed.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

Great source for STAAR practice

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are just now starting to use it. We hope to see great gains with the curriculum and the practice problems. Our teachers are excited to have the access for grades 4-6, math , reading, and science.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been a useful tool for your students. ### 21. Student Centered Activity

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosie V. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how easy think up is to use in my classroom. I use one note to share notes, and having a PDF copy of all the pages is super helpful. I also like the interactive tutorials. These have helped my student grasped math concepts and apply them to the real world.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Think up is a little too wordy for my emerging bilinguals. Living in a border town, I have a group of students who do not know English or have little to no support at home from an English-speaking individual. I would like to see different levels of word problems or an option to translate some of the lessons so my students can receive the instruction at their own level.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThinkUp has helped me plan student-centered lessons that are not only engaging but meaningful. They have increased retention and made connections to real-world applications for many students.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Rosie. We're so excited to hear that ThinkUp! has been an easy resource for your classroom! Not sure if your bilinguals are Spanish speakers/elementary level, but we do offer ThinkUp! in Spanish for TEKS and CCSS 1st-5th grade.
Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback or questions, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. We would love to hear from you! 😊

  ### 22. My Teacher's Most Requested Purchase Every Year!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacy K. | Principal, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

We love the variety of ways we can use this resource. The vast majority of the material is at or beyond the state expectations for the Master's level.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

It is an expensive, consumable purchase. We do use the online component.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This resource helps us with all levels of intervention. It is a very versatile tool.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Stacy! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been a versatile resource for you. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at ahartley@cainc.com.

  ### 23. Think Up 3rd Grade Math

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan D. | 3, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I love the rigor that is provided! The questions require the students to dig deeper and apply their knowledge rather than just computing. The critical thinking involved is so valuable! I love the rich math conversations that I hear taking place while my students are working together in Think Up.
I love using the activities in this book while working in small groups with my students. It provides me the opportunity to see learning and growth taking place, as well as areas that students may be struggling in.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Some of the questions are not questions that my students can complete independently. At times there can be A LOT of scaffolding involved. This is great for challenging my high students!
Also, I wouldn't say I like that the tests are in the book. This prevents me from being able to send the book home. Often times, parents will see the test in the book and complete it with their child, and therefore I cannot take it as an accurate grade. I would love it if there were a pack of assessments sent separately.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

This is a great resource to use in any classroom! It provides the opportunity for enrichment, and well as remediation. My students actually look forward to working in their Think Up books. If you are looking for your students to be challenged and looking to increase rigor in your classroom, then this is the resource for you!
Prior to purchasing Think Up, you would want to ensure that your classroom is set up in a wat that would best support this resource. I have found this to be best used with guided math or in math stations.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits of this program are endless! My students love the opportunity to collaborate with other students for hands on activities. I also love that this prog4ram requires my students to persevere in problem-solving!
I also love seeing my students having math conversations. This resource promotes that. It provides my students with the vocabulary needed to have those rich discussions.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Megan! We're super excited to hear that your students are having rich conversations about their learning and that they're enjoying the activities. 🤩
Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback you would like to share, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. We would love to hear from you!

  ### 24. Great Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon C. | Instructional Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I love that this program is versatile!!! I love the online component, it is helpful! I use the reports to guide instruction. I feel like it is parallel with STAAR!

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Can't think of anything at this time! It's a great product. I haven't had any issues with the program. It is a wonder program. No improvements needed at this time.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used think it up for reading and our students and teachers absolutely love it! They are understanding the material better and the students are showing major progress.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Shannon! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! ELAR has been a useful tool for your students. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 25. I like the rigor of the questions. We still just use the questions and not the teaching portions.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda M. | Elementary Science Curriculum Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I like the rigor of the questions. We use these questions for weekly tests and review.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

The use if iReady has not been easy for my teachers. It has hindered the use of the program. I am specifically speaking to science.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We also go to Think UP for STAAR like questions. We look to this program for the rigor. Now the program is loaded on iReady (again specifically science) my teachers aren't using the teaching portions as much as when they were in the other platform. We benefit from the question bank.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Linda! We're so pleased to hear that ThinkUp! Science is providing rigor for your students. Your feedback is very important to us as we are working to continue improving the new digital experience alongside i-Ready. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 26. Think Up! Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine P. | Instructional Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I really like the online workbooks for teachers. It's easy for teachers to use over paper because they can search for their TEKS versus flipping through a book to try and find standards.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I don't like that our school wasn't able to get the online work for students with our current purchase. We hope to get that aspect of the Think Up! program when we purchase again.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We like being paperless, so having workbooks online really helps with this aspect of teaching. I feel like students work better with the online version than using paper.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Katherine! We're glad ThinkUp! has been a great online resource for your teachers. 😊 Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com.

  ### 27. Rigorous, challenging, expanding!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MELISSA G. | 3rd Grade Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I love using Think Up during small groups to really dissect those rigorous questions! These questions help our students prepare for STAAR assessments and track their skill progression.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

It is very challenging for my students that are Tier 3 or low Tier 2. They struggle when the questions are not straightforward and challenge them to think deeper, which at times is frustrating to them.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are challenging our students to think deeper and expand their thinking. I have noticed that my students are better able to identify WHAT exactly questions are asking them to solve.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Melissa! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! is helping your students think deeper. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 28. Think Up has been an invaluable tool for addressing HB 4545 requirements.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorraine D. | Associate Superintendent, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The alignment to the STAAR blue print. The book is simple to use.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

The assessment component is pricey. Professional learning is also expensive.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

Think Up content is directly aligned to STAAR reporting categories.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The simplified guide allows teachers to quickly align lessons to data.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for you review, Lorraine! We're so glad to hear ThinkUp! has been a helpful resource for addressing HB4545 and preparing for STAAR. We value your feedback, so if you have any additional comments, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 29. Great materials for all grade levels!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I appreciate the fact that materials are available for all grade levels. The readings are relevant and current. The math skills are clear and concise. Depth and standard rigor is addressed as well.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I did find that some questions on the reading passages could be more precise in how they address the depth and rigor of the TEKS, however overall, it is a solid program

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

Make sure your electronic devices are upgraded to be able to utilize the full capacity of the ThinkUp program.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Think Up is a great program to use with students needing Tier 2 & Tier 3 interventions. It is also beneficial for students as practice/ review of skills to identify areas that may need more explanation or support.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear ThinkUp! has been a useful tool for you and your students! Your feedback is important, so please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com with any additional comments. 😊

  ### 30. Like the set up of the Think Up Books. Instruction with concept exploration and development.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alicia C. | Math Instructional Coach Grades 3rd-5th grade, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The concept practice, especially the motivation station.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

No downside of set up. Teachers should be able to be safe to adjust questions or use them in a game setting without feeling worried about copyright.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Students are building stamina with the concept application.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Alicia! We're so glad to hear your students are building stamina with the concept application. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at ahartley@cainc.com.

  ### 31. Great resource to use as a teacher!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa M. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I like the ability to identify TEKs per passage and get the same lessons in Spanish for my bilingual students as well. The option to have a resource in Spanish translation is limited.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I think it would be helpful to have a review after the assessment section of each chapter. I also think it would be great to have the teks listed in student books as well as the teacher manual.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

This resource is a great tool to prepare our students for what they need to practice and advance their thinking! I would highly recommend this program to any teacher.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved the issue of not having a resource for bilingual students. This program has saved so much time finding a resource in multiple languages, so it's helped us plan!

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thanks for your review Lisa. We're so glad that the Spanish versions of ThinkUp! have been helpful for your bilingual students! Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The resources are TEKS-aligned and provide various levels of rigor.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

ThinkUp! does not provide enough materials for the extremely emerging students.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThinkUp! does provide teaching materials that will help prepare the students for the STAAR.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review LaMonica! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has helped prepare your students for STAAR. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at ahartley@cainc.com.

  ### 33. Detailed oriented

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana V. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I like the way the lessons are broken down. It includes the introduction, the independent, the assessment and even a game! It goes through the entire lesson cycle all in one spot.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

There is nothing that I dislike. Perhaps more talking points for the teacher would be helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

It is a one stop shop. Super love it!

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this for every TEKS that I teach in 4th grade math. It is so helpful in breaking down the skill for the students to fully understand the concept.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Diana! We're so pleased to hear that ThinkUp! has been a comprehensive math resource for your classroom. 😊 Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com.

  ### 34. We use ThinkUp to ensure our students have learned the TEKS to mastery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sue W. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The ThinkUp resources provide higher-order thinking skills and require the students to understand the TEKS to be successful. The questions are similar to the STAAR. In addition, there is a digital format for teachers and students

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

These materials are complete. No dislikes for the materials.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the ThinkUp materials to fill educational gaps identified through formal and informal assessments in small groups, tutorials, and additional reviews. We see that the materials target students' varied thinking and learning styles.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Sue! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been such a helpful resource for you and your class. **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I like the consumables and the rigor of the math curriculum.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

The questions and problems in the math book are harder than expected for the grade level. I wish the math book scaffolded some of the TEKS,

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

This is a solid resource.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that I do not have to print worksheets and the students can work from their books. The website is neatly organized to find resources.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been a solid resource for your students. Your feedback is important, so if you have anything additional to share, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

I absolutely love the complete lesson plan guidance. It supports the teacher and student and engages them in the standards for preparation of high stakes assessments.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

It's excellent. I do not have any concerns thus far.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

Look into this product, I used them in a previous state and we loved it there too.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The teachers like the components, and the students have a step by step to mastery.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thanks for your review Quantina! We're so glad to hear ThinkUp! has been a great support for students and teachers. 😊 Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. ### 37. Think up has been a valuable resource at our campus!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa G. | Bilingual Literacy Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

Our teachers love how the program helps with differentiation. It leaves the guesswork out of planning and saves them time.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I don't have any complaints about the curriculum at this time. We would like lower-level intervention for below-grade-level students.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

Try this product, it has everything you're looking for!

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My students are saying that the problems helped them on STAAR because they understood how to solve them better.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Vanessa! We're so excited to hear that ThinkUp! has helped prepare your students for STAAR. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. ### 38. Genuine Critical Thinking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

ThinkUp curriculum is robust when addressing Critical Thinking. It does an excellent job defining and providing guidance into what the Critical Thinking process is and should be. The infographics and graphics are high-quality. We noticed the benefits of using ThinkUp in the classroom almost immediately. In addition, we appreciate the consistent newsletter delivered to our email.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Like almost all things, there is room for improvement. One improvement we recommend is more targeted or differentiated guided lessons. Another aspect that could enrich ThinkUp is the graphics for word problems, as students often use images as entry points. Overall, we enjoy using MentoringMinds for the quality of content and level of rigor. The ThinkUp addition was the cherry on top.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using ThinkUp, we can address mathematical understanding at a high level of thinking. ThinkUp equips the students with the right Critical Thinking skills needed to learn and practice grade-level mathematics successfully. Open-ended questions can sometimes be vague and rote, but most of the time, they guide and complement the thinking process by providing a discussion framework.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review. We're so pleased to hear that ThinkUp! has been a great critical thinking resource for your campus!
Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback you would like to share, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. We would love to hear from you! 😊

  ### 39. ThinkUp! For Schools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alicia S. | Instructional Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2021

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I like that ThinkUp! has the iReady resource that levels for students and has a variety of resources to provide for our students' learning. There are multiple ways to access student understanding and a variety of options when utilizing the materials.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I wish there was more scaffolding built in to make sure that students can build up to the more rigorous skills that they are learning. Sometimes, the ThinkUp! resource requires outside resources for that scaffolding.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now we are able to have our students work in ThinkUp! to help close gaps during student learning. ThinkUp! takes away the guess work for teachers as it targets the skills in a way that will help students master the standard.

  ### 40. Game Changer!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I use the Think Up! Science workbooks in my class. I love how the Teacher Edition makes lesson planning easy. The Explore/Experiments provided are engaging.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I don't think there are any downsides! However, now that the STAAR test is changing its format to include short answer responses, and more interactive questions/answer choices. I hope that Think Up can also include activities like this. Also I am not sure if there is a digital version on the workbooks for students that would be awesome

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time management! I can plan accordingly based on the information given in the teacher edition book.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! Science has been a valuable resource and made lesson planning easy. ThinkUp! Science will have updated question types for the upcoming school year, and digital PDFs can be accessed with a subscription to the Teacher Toolbox. 😊
Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

The alignment with STAAR and the activities suggested. The relevance the resource gives to vocabulary. It's alignment to STAAR and it is a bilingual resource.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Everything has worked for us. Teachers like this resource. Everything works properly.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Think Up mainly for interventions( RTI, HB45, Afterschool tutoring). It provides us with good standard-based intervention lessons and formative assessments.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I love the activities aligned to each standard!

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I wish there were ready to use resources available for the activities so I don't have to find or create them.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed better instructional strategies and assessment resources. I am thrilled to have the availability of word problems since that was a specific request.

  ### 43. Think Up has really helped to support our middle school math students!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle A. | Middle School Math Instructional Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

There are so many interactive lesson ideas to try with students, tips for teachers, and ways to engage students in the learning process that also save planning time.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

The only downside is that all of the great extra resources are online-only, which for me is a short setback. I prefer to have the option digitally and in paper format.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I realized that there are many quality resources and tips that I had not thought about when approaching some concepts, especially for those I've never taught myself before. ThinkUp has helped me gain a better understanding of how to approach lessons for grade levels and content I am not as familiar with.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Michelle. We're thrilled to hear that ThinkUp! teacher edition has provided good tips and helped you save planning time. And keeping your students engaged! Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. ### 44. Not geared for ALL children

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob B. | Intervention Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I like some of the supports available on the supplemental website. The pre-tests and graphiv organizers are very good.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

The materials are geared for high level/performing students (those identified as gifted and talented, particularly in Reading). It isn't appropriately differentiated for students with disabilities, or have adequate supports in the materials to reach students in an inclusion classroom, let alone in a resource room setting.

**Recommendations to others considering ThinkUp!:**

I would look for something a little more differentiated that could be used to reach students who are lower performing academically.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it probably helps our high performing students maintain their high performance level.

**Official Response from Jennifer Hoitsma:**

> Hi Rob! Thank you for your feedback. You're right—ThinkUp! is designed to match the depth of knowledge and rigor required by your state learning standards. When we deconstruct learning standards, the high expectation to reach mastery of the standard is surprising.

Since you mentioned reading specifically, I'll share a few differentiation tips and examples using that frame of reference.

Differentiation can/should occur in three areas during the learning journey—content, process, and product—and can be used with any student who needs support. Try a couple of these ideas and let me know how they work!

—Try using the Close Reading strategy to help students navigate the selection first from a more explicit, surface-level view before diving deeper into inferential knowledge.

—First reading: Begin the unit assessment selection with a read-aloud and debrief using the routine in your ThinkUp! Teacher Edition. Second reading: The next day, invite students to read and discuss the selection with a shoulder partner. Third reading: Now it's time to allow students to read independently and answer the unit assessment questions.

—Try chunking the selection. This helps students process and comprehend the selection in more bite-sized pieces.

—Work through the selection in small groups rather than during whole-class instruction.

—Keep an eye on the DOK level. Each question and activity is coded for Revised Bloom's Taxonomy and Depth of Knowledge level in your Teacher Edition. Try leading with lower-level questions first. When students are confident and ready to move forward, circle back to the activities or questions that are more complex.

—Invite students to begin with a dynamic retelling orally before answering questions in a testing format.

—Don't underestimate the power of Debriefing during Guided Instruction. Think of it as a super-charged think-aloud that models deep processing and comprehension. Each unit in the Teacher Edition includes guidance for debriefing.

—For students with IEPs, remember that level doesn't necessarily equal grade. Consider matching the ThinkUp! level to the student's zone of proximal development (ZPD) defined in their individualized education plan.

—The strategies and activities found in the Intervention section in your Teacher Edition don't have to be used exclusively for intervention students. It's okay to implement a few during your Tier 1 instructional routine as well.

Hope these tips are helpful!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandi G. | Instructional Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

I love that ThinkUp comes with the diagnostic exam and the pre/post assessments.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Unfortunately, we didn't have access to the learning path for each individual child; price for a campus of our size is too hefty.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The diagnostic gave our teachers access to reports for each child which helped target instruction for small group.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review Brandi! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! and i-Ready Diagnostic have paired well together for your campus. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamika B. | Secondary Curriculum Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

We have a screener, individualized progress measures, and lesson plans not just for "on grade level" but all levels. It's a 3 for 1 platform.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

We are new to it so I haven't ran into hiccups just yet.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to all grade-level resources rather than being confined to one grade level.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Tamika! We're so glad to hear that the platform with multiple grade levels has been a helpful resource for your campus. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at annalise@mentoringminds.com. 😊

  ### 48. ThinkUp is a great resource for teachers to use when needing to target specifice skills.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

ThinkUp is a great tool for our DDI cycle. We use it to target specific skills for reteach.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

Some teachers wanted more questions per page.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping teachers think about which students need which skills and then use ThinkUp to differentiate.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review! We're so glad to hear ThinkUp! has helped target different skills with your students. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email me at ahartley@cainc.com.

  ### 49. ThinkUp! is well thought out!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffani C. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2022

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

ThinkUp! made sure their curriculum is TEKS aligned and even includes Spanish versions of their curriculum.

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I wish there were more subjects available.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThinkUp! makes grading and tracking work so much easier. This helps save valuable time. Students are provided various ways to submit work as well.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you for your review, Tiffani! We're so glad to hear that ThinkUp! has been a time-saving resources for you. Your feedback is very important to us as we are always looking for ways to improve user experience. ### 50. Unsure

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about ThinkUp!?**

This program may not be best for use in interventions. I only have my students for 30 minutes a day. I like how in-depth the thinking is, though, and the vocabulary involved is awesome!

**What do you dislike about ThinkUp!?**

I dislike that you have to give the long test first in the online portion. We already have a schoolwide diagnostic piece, and this takes up to much of our time. I called and got instructions about how to let the students skip this test as an administrator, and even though I followed the steps, the students have not been able to skip the test. The online portion is not very user friendly in my opinion.

**What problems is ThinkUp! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vocabulary instruction is a big benefit of this program over others I have used. We know vocabulary is a weakness, so I really appreciate that aspect of the program.

**Official Response from Annalise Hartley:**

> Thank you so much for your review! We're pleased to hear that the ThinkUp! vocabulary has been helpful for you and your students. Through our partnership with Curriculum Associates, we are evaluating the best way to provide an online experience and continue to adapt as we better understand user needs.
