"Effortless Setup, Excellent Customer Service"
What do you like best about Cova POS?

I like the customer service most so far. We had Square POS before this and their customer service was pretty much non-existent. I really like the checkout screen the most thus far and separating by category. The initial setup of Cova POS was SOOOOOO EASY! Even though the education portion was lengthy, it was understandable. The staff, Dan & Kate-lyn, have been SO helpful in making it effortlessly easy. I normally struggle with installing new software, but they are making it lovely, not scary, and user-friendly. What do you dislike about Cova POS?

I wish that the loyalty program had more flexibility with how we would like to use it. Also, I wish there was an app we can use from our phone for working at remote events and selling products. What do you like best about Cova POS?

Things I like about the Cova POS include how easy it is to intake products and how seamlessly it communicates with METRC, especially when adjusting inventory. The pricing is also a strong advantage, it’s very affordable compared to other systems. Troubleshooting issues is straightforward, and their customer support team is responsive and helpful, offering a much better experience than other providers we’ve used in the past. What do you dislike about Cova POS?

Something I dislike about the Cova POS system is that it can be slow at times. For instance, when intaking new products, the screen often takes extra time to load, which can make the process feel inefficient. Another issue I’ve noticed is that concentrates and extracts aren’t tracked together. This separation makes it possible to accidentally oversell those products, and it feels counterintuitive to have to intake everything as concentrates just to ensure accurate tracking. I find Cova POS to be extremely user-friendly, which makes it easy to train new team members for everyday store use. The seamless integration of external services is another aspect I appreciate, as it enhances the customer experience by providing a quick and simple setup. The variety of reporting on sales metrics offered by Cova POS is impressive and valuable, as it empowers store managers to become experts in business analytics. Furthermore, the system's compatibility with popular systems used in cannabis retail stores provides a great selection and cost savings, ensuring the best possible customer experience in-store. I value the seamless initial setup process, supported by the readily available Cova team for any questions, ensuring a smooth transition. The fact that Cova POS was able to provide more options to support our long-term business growth was a significant factor in our decision to switch from GlobalTill. What do you dislike about Cova POS?

I do wish the loyalty rewards system was better and more defined for use in the stores. I would like to see some of the promotions capability tweaked so that the system would not double dip on promotions. The loyalty program could be defined to be more granular to better assist retailers to pivot and customize the program parameters to better suit their unique business model. What do you like best about Cova POS?

I personally really like the support team at Cova POS. They are very good, listen to everything that needs to be done, and try to work with us. We've had reports made for us that Cova has never had before, which has been fantastic. They're always looking to improve as well. I really do like this product. The support team always looks for feedback, they’re willing to listen, learn, and react to our needs. They have implemented new things over time, which has been great for us as a company. I really like their feedback tab and the regular updates provided when something goes down. The onboarding process was great; we had excellent people taking care of us. We still have a great account manager, and it truly is a great company overall. We've had no problems since transitioning from our previous provider. What do you dislike about Cova POS?

I would really like to see the implementation of online order functionalities. Specifically, having a system that automatically sends an email to the store when an order is placed, or an identifier on the point of sale system itself that could potentially cause the screen to flash. This would help in maintaining the flow of traffic within the stores and ensure that our team does not forget about a customer or their order. Their responsiveness is also noteworthy, offering live updates when system issues arise, which ensures that our operations run continuously without interruption. These aspects significantly enhance our ability to effectively order and manage inventory across multiple retail locations, which is a crucial part of our business operations. I dislike that Cova POS does not allow for the deletion of old lot numbers after a certain time period, which can clutter the system with outdated information. I am really impressed with Cova POS due to its high usability that benefits both staff operating the physical POS systems and management accessing the back end. The ease of use significantly boosts our operations, making processes smooth and efficient. One of the standout features is the easy access to a wide variety of reports, which are just a click away. This accessibility saves us an enormous amount of time that would otherwise be spent manually pulling together data and compiling reports. Additionally, the automation of downloading product catalogs has dramatically reduced the manual input time, allowing us to focus our efforts more strategically. Moreover, the initial setup of Cova POS was very straightforward, which was a great relief. The system’s ability to seamlessly integrate with various other tools through APIs also demonstrates its flexibility and adaptability to our business needs. I really appreciate how Cova POS is suitable for hemp or cannabis businesses, as it seamlessly tracks inventory and maintains Metrc. The personalization of the POS system to fit the unique products my business carries is impressive.
