## About Consenti
Consenti - an open-source, self-hosted Consent Management Platform. Most cookie consent tools fall into two camps: a free banner script that gives you no backend, no audit trail, and no real compliance infrastructure - or an enterprise CMP that costs real money and puts your visitors' consent records on someone else's servers. We built Consenti to be the third option. What it is: → A full stack, not just a banner — widget + backend + immutable audit log + admin dashboard → Self-hosted — consent records stay in your own database (SQLite, Postgres, MySQL, or MongoDB), never a third party's → Zero required runtime dependencies, TypeScript strict throughout → Framework-agnostic — React, Vue, Angular, Next.js, Express, or vanilla JS → GDPR/UK-GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and LGPD are our actively-maintained core; more regulations are supported and evolving → Apache 2.0 — free to self-host, forever We're actively hardening IAB TCF v2.2 support, expanding regulation coverage, and want feedback from teams actually evaluating self-hosted CMPs — what's missing, what would make you trust it in production. \> npm install @consenti/ui \> npm install @consenti/api // Optional Backend + Dashboard GitHub: https://github.com/Bestwebs-Solution/consenti Docs: https://consenti.dev

**What do you like best about Consenti?**

What I like most about Consenti is that it gives you complete ownership of your users' consent data. Instead of sending consent records to a third-party service, everything stays in your own database, which is a big advantage for privacy, security, and compliance.

I also like that it's more than just a cookie banner. It includes the backend, audit logs, and an admin dashboard, so you get a complete consent management solution without needing multiple tools. The setup is developer-friendly, works with different frameworks, and being open source means you can customize it to fit your needs instead of being locked into a commercial platform.

Overall, it's a practical and cost-effective option for teams that want a modern, self-hosted Consent Management Platform with full control over their data.

**What do you dislike about Consenti?**

The product is promising, but more production case studies and user testimonials would increase confidence for enterprise adoption.

**What problems is Consenti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consenti solves the problem of managing cookie consent without relying on expensive third-party platforms. It gives us full control over consent records by keeping the data in our own infrastructure, which is important for privacy, security, and compliance.

It also saves development time by providing a complete solution with the consent banner, backend, audit logs, and dashboard in one package. Being open source and self-hosted helps reduce ongoing costs while giving us the flexibility to customize it to our requirements.

 ### 2. Simple, Easy to Use, and Backed by Strong Support

**What do you like best about Consenti?**

What makes it stand apart is its simplicity and ease of use. The support we get is strong across the board—whether you’re a product owner, a developer, or QA—and the integration process is straightforward, which really helps.

**What do you dislike about Consenti?**

It’s still relatively new, so we’ll have to see how it holds up in the long run and whether it can sustain itself within the industry.

**What problems is Consenti solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A cookie notification or cookie banner that can be managed externally. It also covers the links that appear within it, GPC banners, and whether you need a cookie wall or not. Overall, it can be managed externally rather than being built into a CMS system.
