The fact that Apttus has the most robust total Quote-to-Cash offering ranging from Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) to Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) and Revenue Recognition capabilities, makes their Contract Management capability that much more scalable into an even bigger, more valuable business solution. I also had a phenomenal experience with their Professional Services team that embedded with our team, got to know our business, challenges, processes and desired outcomes and worked tirelessly to deliver a winning solution. As a result, we transformed our contract management operation from a highly disconnected, manual and e-mail driven approach to a completely automated process within the Salesforce ecosystem. We were able to leverage pre-approved legal language to more easily construct our contracts. Approvals were automatically generated, disseminated, escalated and captured within the system. Contracts were easily e-signed by customers and countersigned by our legal team with a single click. Ultimately all contract language including terms, conditions and even specific clauses were stored as searchable data. **What do you dislike about Conga CLM?** There is little to dislike about the Apttus CLM product or in their ability to deliver a winning solution. As with many Salesforce applications, use of the interface could sometimes be more efficient with less whitespace and fewer page turns. But this is a minor consideration given the awesome results and great success we have experienced with this Apttus solution. **Recommendations to others considering Conga CLM:** Consider Apttus very highly for three reasons: 1. Their broader Quote-to-Cash vision and scalability 2. Their exceptional Professional Services 3. The strength of their organization and their dominant standing in the marketplace **What problems is Conga CLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a result of our Apttus CLM implementation, we reduced our manual process by 40% of the redundant or unnecessary process steps. We reduced our contract processing costs by 25%. And we experienced a 60% increase in the speed at which contracts were signed. So, we were able to reduce the lag between close of an opportunity and the point at which we were able to start recognizing revenue. Sales Reps love it. Legal relies on it. And the Operations team can't live without it. In 25 years, this was one of the smoothest, most successful projects I have had the pleasure of overseeing. ### 17. We find that this streamlines our process by setting proper expectation for renewals when they first sign on as a customer. In the past they initial proposal would look so different from the renewal we would find ourselves spending great deal of time explaining the renewal to the client. Being able to have templates helps us in streamlining our proposal process. **What do you dislike about Conga CLM?** Not able to edit the proposal after it has been published. Many times we are creating 2-3 versions of the same proposal and we have to copy and republish and then send new link to the client. It would be extremely helpful and a time saver if we didn't have to create a new proposal every time we make an edit. Also, we've had issues with other users not being able to view each others proposals. I find the Apttus CLM to be well-designed out of the box, and it was relatively easy to configure during our deployment. Our Legal and Contracts team also benefit from the X-Author functionality that allows us to use our Office suite to manipulate and edit documents seamlessly within the CLM. **What do you dislike about Conga CLM?** We have a very complex agreement structure, with a lot of variable clauses, use-dependent templates, etc. Configuring Apttus CLM to handle that complexity took a lot of effort. Also, the presentment limitations for line items in the quote/agreement record could be more dynamic. **What problems is Conga CLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Apttus CLM to unify our previous patchwork of contracting systems and processes. Doing so allowed us to present a single, coherent contract to our customers. Client have difficulty knowing there are different pages and sometimes the side bar is not very user friendly. I wish when saving assets ( while creating a document) that one can name the asset and also add tags to it and even place it in a certain folder ( that folder could be also linked to cloud storage) when saving; instead of just saving it and using the title from the document. When creating a new version it is better to be able to be given the option to write an email rather than it being automated. Also some clients are not very comfortable viewing on octiv so it would be interesting to add an option or to include and attach PDF version of the proposal When sending out the email and maybe even have the option to add other attachements that sometimes we do not want to include in the proposal. Also it would be better if the emails were received from clients showing them our email rather than octivs. The octiv packages have become much more expensive and We will have to terminate our contract next year given that We started using it since the days of tinderbox, We understand there are improvements as one of your representatives said like any other online service company ( We are subscribed to so many online softwares for business but never have we seen such an increase in the price) there should be some support for the first tinderbox customers who have been loyal and supporting in a way the growth of octiv, and given that over the years our assets and data base is quiet heavy as information :) also tracking should be detailed to show viewing by proposal version. **What problems is Conga CLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Benefits: Faster proposal creation and online proposal database. Having the metrics present on the dashboard provide good oversight for users and managers on the 'health' of their sales. Standardizing of templates at the central office improves consistency across the organization **What do you dislike about Conga CLM?** The program could be more efficient to use as there are a few formatting issues that the team struggles with. Numbering, bullets, text formating at end of sentences. This makes the learning curves for individuals a lot longer than it should be. There should be foreign currency edits in the dashboard for global divisions. Everything pulls from Salesforce "quoted amount" but it confuses it from USD. Creating and customizing a front title page is difficult and not customizable. We had to implement a difficult workaround with the support team. Uploading a word document template never seems to format correctly and getting it into the right 'blocks' is difficult. Some functionality is difficult to access.
