**What do you like best about Coastal?**

What I like best about Coastal is that they feel like an extension of my team. Being a team of one can be isolating and challenging, so it's helpful to have trusted colleagues to bounce ideas off of, to teach me new skills, and to lean on, especially during challenging times like a data remodel.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

The only real downside of Coastal is that we do not work with them full-time, so they aren't able to dig quite as deep into understanding our data/industry/strategies/business decisions as an FTE would be expected to, which can present a slight learning curve to overcome.

**Recommendations to others considering Coastal:**

SFMC is a complex tool which lends itself best to a well-rounded team of experts. Even if your team is highly skilled and experienced, they may benefit from additional support in areas like technical architecture, consulting, SFMC administration, and project management. Coastal is a strong and reliable partner with deep SFMC expertise, and they are well-equipped to help fill in any gaps.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an email team of one, Coastal has helped fill in the gaps for our team, which has been critical to our success. Even with my own 5+ years of experience in SFMC, my colleagues from Coastal have brought a depth and breadth of knowledge and taught me skills/tips I had never encountered on my own. They are strong in SFMC best practices and they fill in some of the more technical gaps that an SFMC admin, developer, or consultant would normally support. They were a tremendous asset to our data remodeling project, helping us steer that process and build a solution in SFMC that would support complex datasets and processes. We simply could not have done it without them.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

The most helpful aspect about Coastal is the reliable assistance to solve problems - even issues that went beyond our main contact's knowledge. If she was not familiar with a particular product she would pull in her Coastal colleagues to assist on the solution.

I think the cost for 8 hours of consult was a lot and b/c we only had 8 hours each week to work w the consultant, it took a long time to finish projects.

I think this group is very easy to work with and reliable source of SF solutioning.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coastal provided managed services immeadiately after we went live and transitioned from our implementation vendor for SF NPSP. Our rep helped us set up our acknowledgement processes, introduced third party tools to make reporting easier and assisted with cleaning our data by creating a process to remove duplicate records.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

They are easy to work with and very responsive. The follow-up to meetings and requests are quick as well. The account team of Amanda, Emma, Jake and Sean have been great so far. We are utlizing Asana for PM and both teams have visibiltiy into the work. The weekly communication on hour utilization has been great. We know what we've used and what we have remaining for the month.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

So far I don't really have a dislike yet. The partnership is too new for me to comment.

**Recommendations to others considering Coastal:**

The team listened to what we had to say and asked the right questions. They are responsive and easy to work with. The team also explains any steps taken in support work.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were ending our partnership with a different vendor and reached out to Coastal Cloud to explore a new partner. We initially asked Coastal to our current environment and provide enhancement recommendations. We had a series of meetings and demos. From there the team provided a handful of recommendations. We are now weaving these recommendations into a Waves program partnership.

Everything really. They were professional, but easy going and very easy to work with.

Coastal was instrumental in upgrading our MuleSoft platform from 3.9 to 4.9, as well as addressing any errors along the way.  I can't say enough good things about this team.  We had a very tight deadline with a lot of unknown variables or skillset on my team. They have a great Project Manager, Kelly who was on top of everything and did a great job keeping the team moving forward.  Their development team is also top notch. I was able to work with an onshore developer, while he worked with the offshore team, to better align with time-zones and clear communication.   I am actually going to use them again on another part of the project, as well keep them on speed-dial for any future work.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

Coastal is extremely sharp and professional. It was impressive how quickly they acclimated and understood our business needs.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

Honestly, can't really say anything bad. If I have to say something, it's how we had to promote the work in Copado. They provided all of the metadata, but I think the initial user stories we created weren't necessary since we create user stories only for the components we're promoting. The bot was part of every user story, which made things complicated. We ended up just using 1 user story and adding all the components that were needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Coastal:**

I highly recommend Coastal for any Salesforce project. They have a deep understanding of Salesforce and all its capabilities, thinking outside the box and going the extra mile. They're on top of everything, extremely detailed, and provide next steps and communication consistently and concisely.

Coastal helped my team implement a chatbot on our proprietary software. This is going to benefit our customers to get help in real time while reducing the call/case volume.

I like the high level of professionalism in planning, executing and communicating along the way. The timely scope/reports, updates, and planning was communicated clearly every step of the way. Audrey Root, Beau Bassett, and Amanda Moore are the kindest, most professional people I have worked with in a long time. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them every step of the way.

There wasn't anything that I would have changed about the experience we had.

Coastal built out our new MCAE platform and met all our expectations in a timely, professional manner. We needed to improve our communication as a ministry and they have set us up for success to do so.

Simplification of the process and knowing someone was there to answer questions.

There were a lot of emails sent back and forth but the team was just keeping us informed on the project and any requirements we may have missed.

We were signing up for a short code and the process looked very daunting. It was a simple, although still long, process with Coastal Cloud. The process is in-depth and very lengthy but it was as simple as possible with the guidance of Coastal. 

Thanks again for being so easy to work with. I can’t imagine how difficult it would have been if I had tried to accomplish this SMS set up without you all.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

They are experienced in Salesforce and were able to easily determine what changes needed to be made with our current CRM. They are very easy to work with, and genuinely nice people. They are very responsive and quick to try and resolve issues.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

While it is not uncommon to experience bugs in a new system, there seemed to be more than usual after going live, even after doing extensive testing. To be fair, the issues may not have been a result of Costal's error, but with Salesforce or Amazon Voice.

**Recommendations to others considering Coastal:**

They are a great team to work with. They are very knowledgeable and understanding. They are easy to reach when issues arise and are quick to find a resolution. You will feel as if you are their only client.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building Amazon Voice Connector and installing on our current Salesforce CRM.  This Connector will help with reporting, call center visibility and phone connnectivity issues, as well as assist in managing remote employees.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

We discussed the scope of the project quite extensively and they were able to customize to our needs. We first started with smaller projects and as we got more comfortable, expanded to larger things. We primarily worked with the same team members who understood our org very well. Their solutions were heavy on out of box features so that we could manage in house in the future, which was something improtant to us.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

The nature of U.S. based resources equates to higher cost than off shore resources.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company started using Salesforce in 2012 and had stayed in Classic for over a decade. It took us several years to get our employees on board to use Salesforce Classic so while we knew we needed to upgrade to Lightning, we were hesitant to do so. But many of the features we want to use are only available in Lightning and we finally decided to rip the bandaid off. Coastal was instrumental in this project as we did not have an internal IT project manager who can push this project to completion and we needed to heavily rely on their help.

Bob at Coastal Cloud was the EXPERT. He was able to translate my non-Salesforce speak into solutions that could solve our problems. He was very familiar with how economic development organizations work and was therefore able to give guidance and recommendations for what he has seen work in the past. He was incredibly quick in all follow up and kept me on track for completion. I would send him lists of things I wanted done on the platform and they were often done within the same day. I truly don't have any complaints. Using Coastal Cloud to optimize our Salesforce platform was one of the best decisions we could make for our long-term tracking of our success.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When starting my position at Greater Louisville Inc., the systems they were using in our Salesforce account and the way it was set up were not at all aligned with how an Economic Developement agency works. Therefore, there were no efficiencies, it was not self-explanatory in any way, and everyone previous to our current team used it differently so the way data was input into the system varied by user. By working with Coastal Cloud, we were able to setup our account to align more with how we need to use it so that the data can serve our purposes. In addition, we've been able to get more specific with our metrics now that we have a way of reporting them. They're optimizations have also allowed us to understand more information and track more projects than we were able to in the past.

Start with a discovery process as an initial/independent project (like UCP did). Once you have that process complete, then decide what your organization can support from a resource and financial standpoint. Taking it in phases helps to acclimate to change and plan for future projects.

As a consultant engaged with United Cerebral Palsy, I spearheaded the search for a proficient Salesforce consulting partner. Our objective was to find a vendor capable of meeting our current needs while guiding us towards future enhancements—specifically, transitioning from Salesforce Classic to Lightning and devising a strategic roadmap to optimize our system's processes both presently and in the long term.

From the initial discovery phase, which culminated in a thorough solution design, to overseeing data cleansing, implementing Lightning, and executing seamless data migration, the Coastal Cloud team has been our steadfast companion throughout this journey. Now that we've successfully completed the implementation phase, we're poised to embark on future initiatives, including the automation of grant management, case management, and the integration of advanced marketing tools.

I value most their expertise; they could provide valuable recommendations both on the accounting side of our project and on the system side of the project.  I also deeply appreciated their partnership approach to the process, leading us via many questions and clearly articulating requirements based on our answers.   They were flexible with our budget, giving options along the way.

Because of their thoroughness, responsiveness, and expertise, the total cost of the project ended up higher than we desired.   It was money well spent though!

Coastal Cloud provided project management, customization, and implementation services for our launch of the Accounting Seed package on Salesforce.  They asked the right questions, captured and documented our requirements, developed a scope of work to meet those requirements, built everything requested, provided the best User Acceptance Testing process I've ever seen, and supported us through and after go-live.  It was incredibly beneficial expertise, leadership, and quality work.

We moved to Coastal after having gone through three existing vendors. Coastal supported us in cleaning up our lead to sale pipline surrounding our marketing and Pardot setups. This has led to greater success for our sales team in generating and following through with our leads. Coastal has really served as our Salesforce and Pardot admins, leading our internal teams to viable solutions.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything I dislike.  I could see prospective customers being a bit weary of their price. However, in my career, especially with SFDC, you get what you pay for when it comes to developing and maintaining a complex SFDC environment.

**Recommendations to others considering Coastal:**

If you want a firm that wants to understand your business, if you want a firm that will work tirelessly help you get to where you want to go, if you want a firm that meets deadlines and communicates well, I wouldn't look anywhere else.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I started my new role at my current company, I inherited a SFDC environment that needed a significant amount of TLC.  I partnered with Coastal Cloud to assess and remediate.  The attention to detail, their willingness to go the extra mile for the customer, and the level of expertise they brought into the project greatly distinguishes them in a very overcrowded ecosystem of Salesforce partners.  Overall, my SFDC environment has been rearchitected in a manner in which we were able to add Financial Force / Certina seamlessly from the engagement.  We are currently working with them to bring Net Zero Cloud into our environment.

I greatly appreciate Coastal Cloud's customer- and relationship-first mentality, which is sometimes hard to find with agency partners. Additionally, I appreciate the unique skillsets each team member has been able to bring to the table.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

Perhaps it's because we're still a bit early on in our partnership, but the team hasn't been too forthcoming around how we will maintain the recommendations/builds they are currently putting into place. I'd imagine this might come naturally later on in implementation/our partnership.

**Recommendations to others considering Coastal:**

Make sure your organization is very clear about the stage of their HCRM implementation, and what exact skillsets and needs Coastal Cloud would be addressing. Otherwise, you may find yourself in a place where you may not be getting the best of their services because of organizational limitations and confusion.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coastal Cloud is currently supporting our HCRM business case, initial CDP build, reporting infrastructure, and campaign production enablement. Through this work so far, we've seen organizational clarity gained around enterprise-wide goals for our HCRM implementations, which is a big win at any academic medical center.

Not only that, but we know that there's a whole organization of talent available to us when there's a specific subject matter that we need additional insight or assistance on.

Our Coastal Cloud consultant, Stephanie, has made a measurable improvement not only in our Salesforce ecosystem, but on our processes as a whole.  During the discovery phase of a new project, she asks the right questions, respectfully pushes back against confusing parts of our processes, and helps us ultimately arrive at the right solution the first time.  Previously, we'd been building in Salesforce without first examining the 'why' of our proceses - usually leading to rebuilds and inefficiency.  That's been greatly reduced after working with Stephanie and Coastal Cloud.

Everyone we have worked with at Coastal Cloud has been super friendly and knowledgeable about anything we have asked for help with. They have a vast amount of knowledge in all things Salesforce, including Pardot. They are also always accessible and quick to help. There is no long delay in waiting for assistance.

The only thing I dislike is that we have not used them sooner! We have grown over the years, and tried to manage things on our own, and it would of been much easier had we used them then!

Coastal Cloud has stellar subject matter expertise in the Economic Development Industry. This makes it much easier for them to understand the outcomes we were trying to achieve and to make recommendations based on best practices. I also loved the team members. It can be a bit expensive depending on what you are trying to achieve, especially if you are a non-profit, however they are worth it and do their best to give you the most bang for your buck that they can.

Leverage their experience. Ask them what their advice is as opposed to just dictating requirements. That's really where they stand out above the rest.

We wanted our current platform to be the data hub for our operational performance data. We needed to enhance it to make it more comprehensive and user-friendly. That involved adding new functional groups, new objects and fields, etc. and editing existing ones. We also needed dashboards and additional reports. We did not have the expertise within to design the architecture of this and only had minimal knowledge to execute a design. By leveraging Coastal Cloud we have an intentional, integrated design with the ability to capture and export the data we need.

I don't want this to come across as a poorly thought-through response, but there is nothing we disliked about working with Coastal Cloud. We felt like we were in excellent hands the entire time.

The more you share up front about your requirements and expectations for a project, the more effective CC will be in mapping out the scope and getting an early start on potential challenges you could encounter. The team is highly knowledgeable and resourceful - my best recommendation is to ask for everything you want, even if you do not believe it is possible, and let them help you research what can and cannot be done.

They willingness to talk through solutions to challenges instead of just blindly sticking to a project outline. They were very responsive and willing to change direction, within reason, if, in the course of development, a change was needed.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

The downsides were not really due to any failings on CoastalCloud's side. The hardest thing we had to get over was the "lost in translation" problem in the beginning. Given the fact that our company does not usually use outside IT resources to develop solutions, there was  steep learning curve on our end to translate what CostalCloud's process and what they expected to be able to deliver vs what we were expecting. Many times we were talking about the same result, but were simply using different terminology to describe the same process.

**Recommendations to others considering Coastal:**

Either spend more time in the planning phase of a project to fully vet what you want the end result to be, or build additional project hours into a project so that if you go down a development dead end, there is time to work on a different solution. CoastalCloud is a very talented group of developers and pretty much build whatever solution is needed, so customers having a clear vision what they want the end product to do will give CC the right foundation to exceed your expectations.

CoastalCloud helped us design an online application system to provide a digital solution that not only made it much easier for our patrons to apply, but also connected the application directly to a legacy system.

When faced with technical issues or last-minute client requests, the team was ALLWAYS able to deliver. 
The on-demand technical support during our launch at a trade show with 20 plus new users, entering live orders in real-time (after many hours of hands-on training provided by the Coastal Cloud team) confirmed we made the right choice to partner with Coastal Cloud.

Our new customer Help Center replaces our manual email process with an efficient web-to-case solution. It's built with robust Case assignment rules that automatically assign Cases to the proper team members across the globe to address customer issues within specific SLA timeframes. The Help Center also includes Salesforce Knowledge, allowing customers to self-serve and find product information and other resources on their own. Not only are we able to scale our ability to service customers across segments and regions, but we are also communicating and educating our clients in a more effective and efficient way.

Originally, we hired Coastal Cloud for a Conga CLM (contract lifecycle management) project. Once the team started on this, they also started supporting and helping to update our existing Salesforce CPQ solution. We were unhappy with our previous vendor, and Coastal Cloud’s experts helped to solve some issues that had remained unresolved as well as offer some suggestions for enhancements.

The Coastal Cloud team was a delight to work with. It was immediately clear that they had the background and product knowledge but also worked well in matching our working style and approach.  In the end, this solution works smarter not harder! The seamlessness between Conga’s CLM process paired with our CPQ solution decreases our organization’s inefficiencies.

The team at Coastal Cloud is what keeps us coming back. We rely on them to help us turn sometimes vague ideas of what we are looking for into concrete requirements and ultimately a custom solution that works well and is well-documented.  With so many moving parts in our complex system, sometimes we need help figuring things out.  When this happens, they are very responsive and readily available to get on a call. More importantly, they create (and update) extremely helpful guides that allow our administrators to avoid coming back with the same questions.

There is nothing to dislike about Coastal Cloud.  Every project has unexpected bumps, but to the extent that occurred, Coastal Cloud handled them professionally and with urgency.

Spend time going over your specific business practices (and current pain points) with them.  While they’re building out the system, they often have process-improvement suggestions that really help and that you may not think of.  The more they understand your business, the more you will get out of that.

This customized solution has mitigated the number of manual processes for our teams.  We now spend more time doing our jobs than repetitive tasks thanks to automations.  It is also easier to catch mistakes on our end.  Finally, we are enjoying increased insight into our organization.

Coastal Cloud managed the implementation of our new Salesforce instance including data transfer from another instance and implementation and configuration of 3 tools: Pardot, FormAssembly, and Conga (Composer & Sign).

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

Coastal Cloud provided expertise, structure, and transparency throughout our project. They were flexible and accommodating while staying focused on delivering project milestones. They were conscientious with our project budget and advised us on how best to leverage time and resources to gain maximum value from our investment. After working with them on the implementation of our Salesforce instance and 3 other tool integrations, we signed on for a managed services contract due to our high level of satisfaction with their work. They have been very responsive and easy to work with and we highly recommend them.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

As with any project, there were challenges and shifts we needed to make. However, Coastal Cloud were great partners, very patient and flexible when we needed it and they brought the project across the finish line with us.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had to move to our own stand-alone instance of Salesforce, which involved building out a whole new structure for our data and processes, but also migrating data. Coastal Cloud consultants were excellent partners and solutions architects as we redesigned our workflows in the new system. Their training and documentation was excellent, and we have been very happy with their managed services as well. They delivered everything that was promised in an efficient and transparent way.

We worked with Coastal Cloud to launch our new short code enablement and text messaging program. They assisted us with getting our short code number and applying for our first short code campaign program. Coastal Cloud helped us through the entire process, from reserving the short code with Salesforce, offering guidance on SMS and MMS components of our application, responding to questions from the aggregator, and monitoring the review and testing process among the three tiers of mobile carriers. They also conducted internal testing of our new short code and keywords with Tier 1 carriers, then provided training and resources for us to get started with our new program in Marketing Cloud MobileConnect.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

Coastal Cloud proved to be highly knowledgeable on both Sales Force and carrier requirements.  Their expertise allowed us to quickly and effectively complete our short code implementation ahead of schedule.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

The project and all communications were flawless.  I am not able to provide input on any areas for improvement.  The project ran smoothly and the coordinated handoff at the conclusion of the effort allowed us to quickly begin using our short code in production.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our use case of a text messaging program is a little outside the norm as we are creating prototypes and demos of technology solutions for our healthcare clients so they can envision how they can communicate with their patients. Coastal Cloud helped us navigate our short code application process and tailor our application keeping this in mind. Not only are we now able to demonstrate this new SMS program, but we have a better understanding of how to describe this process with our own clients. This is important as text messaging patients regarding appointment reminders, patient care surveys, and other information is an increasingly important communication tool and service expectation for patients and providers.

Coastal Cloud provided consulting and leadership for our organization as we transitioned to the SalesForce platform.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

Coastal Cloud was knowledgeable, articulate, and a pleasure to work with. They had great communication across our global team and were able to work well with many different personality types.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

My primary interaction with Coastal Cloud was during the Customer Support transition from Zendesk to SalesForce. Coastal Cloud provided great training for the support team before going live with the new platform. A separate Manager training would have also been helpful, as performing administrative tasks has left us dependant on consultants to perform what should be simple tasks.

**Recommendations to others considering Coastal:**

Defining thorough requirements and setting clear expecations will prevent any unnecessary miscommunication later on. Our diligence up-front resulted in a very efficient transition, and the support go-live date was met without delay.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization has seen enhanced collaboration and ease of internal and external communication by being consolidated on one platform. We were able to do this through Coastal Clouds guidance, as they worked with us to determine the best course of action for our unique teams.

Coastal Cloud has helped us with multiple projects. They've helped us automate some processes, enhanced our email templates, and rescued us from an integration gone awry. They have experts in pretty-much anything you can imagine. If it can be used in/near/around Salesforce, they can help.

Responsive and Friendly support for any and all Salesforce needs.

I can not think of any downsides to using Coastal Cloud.

Coastal Cloud led AMSA's Salesforce customization to create an intuitive and efficient membership database. This project included customization for events, marketing, accounting, reporting, business development, and online payments. Before working with Coastal Cloud we were limited in what we could offer our members, the database was clunky, and we were working from many different spreadsheets and forms. Our new platform allows us to be more productive, and the member experience is seamless.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

It was a pleasure working with the Coastal Cloud team. They were efficient and prepared detailed weekly project management reports to track progress. The Coastal Cloud team is professional, fun, and service-oriented. They were a true partner who delivered projects on time and adhered to our budget. Coastal Cloud is transparent, responsive, and listened to our needs. We are delighted with our new membership database!

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

During my 12 years at AMSA we have had four membership databases. I wish we had found Coastal Cloud sooner, as I feel like we wasted time with expensive and outdated platforms. That being said, I did not dislike anything about working with Coastal Cloud.

Coastal Cloud’s experience in the health care, nonprofit, and education industries was instrumental to our success with this project. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and realistic with projections and deliverables. Working with them is a delight!

Having one platform for our membership database and business development is incredible. Everything is synced, including marketing and events. It has improved processes and efficiency. Teams are no longer working in silos, and information is shared throughout the organization. The experience for our members is much more user-friendly as well.

With the help of Coastal Cloud, Kerry, and JoAnne, we are creating and integrating an insightful BI platform across a network of healthcare clinics. Our network of clinics was operating on separate platforms, making it hard for us to have a holistic view of our data. The Coastal Cloud team took the time to hear our needs and concerns and provided us with the best possible solution.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

Working with this team at Coastal Cloud has been a pleasure. They work day and night to make sure we are successfully and efficiently meeting our goals and deadlines. No matter how hard the task, the Coastal Cloud team always gets it done. Kerry and JoAnne are very dedicated to making our BI Platform, Tableau, successful. I am excited to continue to work with Coastal Cloud in the future.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

There is not one thing I dislike about Coastal Cloud. My only thought would be how much I will miss working with such a great team.I could not be more satisfied with Coastal Cloud.

We chose Coastal Cloud as our Salesforce partner in implementing an end-to-end solution, that went from CRM to project management, for a sales team.  Having our entire team in one solution drives consistency in our processes and provides valuable reporting tools for the management team.

**What do you like best about Coastal?**

The Coastal Cloud team was not only knowledgable about Salesforce, but many additional app exchange offerings that would help with our solution.  They responded quickly and delivered on time.  Everyone on the team was professional and easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about Coastal?**

Nothing to dislike about working with Coastal Cloud.

**What problems is Coastal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through our switch to Salesforce, we immediately realized the results of strong reporting capability.  We have access to data that wasn't available previously.  The use of Salesforce also continues to drive consistency across an ever-evolving sales team and organization.
