It has the potential to be really helpful if the UX were improved. For reporting purposes, it includes everything we need from a tool like this, and the real-time tracking and overall coverage are great.

The UX—especially after the recent update—has made it even harder to find tools and navigate the different mechanisms.

Sometimes, the platform feels somewhat sluggish or lacks intuitive functionality, especially when searching for or exporting lists. Additionally, updates about journalists do not always reflect recent changes at their outlets immediately. Enhancing the freshness of the data and making list management more straightforward would significantly improve the overall experience.

It is easy to have someone on the team quickly add media that does not show up in the mention stream.

**What do you like best about CisionOne?**

I like using CisionOne for Instant Insights, which lets me rank and organize allotted media coverage over specific time periods. It helps me quickly view media coverage of my organization, and it's very useful for comparing metrics and examining the volume of media mentions.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

I think it's very disappointing that Instant Insights only allows the top 50 media mentions to be ranked under top articles - it should be more to help sufficiently capture an organization's coverage for extended periods of time. There should be more transparency for why certain journalists/media contacts are missing from the database. Please provide reasons for missing contact information, and please update emails to ensure that planned outreach isn't wasted.

I use CisionOne to monitor media coverage and find journalist contact info. Instant Insights helps me rank coverage and compare metrics efficiently.

**What do you like best about CisionOne?**

I like that we can tag pieces of coverage and look at the media monitoring board. It helps us work out how many pieces of coverage we get. Tagging pieces of coverage makes it simple to work out for each of our sectors what sort of coverage we are getting. The media monitoring board is super simple to use and is clear, especially with coverage timelines.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

We often find missed coverage. I find the search function doesn't really work and I wish the general layout was more simple to use.

I use CisionOne for media monitoring, tracking coverage, and understanding the media landscape. Tagging coverage helps identify what we're getting for different sectors, and the media monitoring board is simple and clear, especially for coverage timelines.

**What do you like best about CisionOne?**

I really like CisionOne's interface because it's easy to navigate. The newsletter function is great too. It allows me to share key coverage with the wider business in a standardized format. Also, it tracks coverage well, capturing everything without me having to do it manually.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

You can't quickly add in coverage via web links which is frustrating, also sometimes hard to track specific articles, and the reach feels random. Sometimes articles are picked up but don't mention Harrods. Being able to add and look for specific linked articles slows down and stops us reporting quickly and accurately.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CisionOne for tracking press coverage without doing it manually. The newsletter function helps share key coverage in a standardized format with the business.

I like having everything in one place. It's really convenient to monitor our brand presence, communicate with journalists, and research media and journalists all from the same platform. It keeps everything I need for my job organized and accessible.

I think preparing automation for reports is sometimes a bit tricky. You have to spend some time to get to know the tool. It's sometimes not very easy, but thanks to the webinars I do often, I was able to solve that issue.

CisionOne helps me monitor our brand awareness, track media relations objectives, and ensure we're hitting targets in different regions. It's very efficient to have everything in one tool for monitoring brand presence, communicating with journalists, and researching media channels.

I like the easy accessibility of CisionOne and its very quick customer service. I also find the reports on different metrics to be helpful. The initial setup was very easy, and the customer service was great.

Sometimes there's too many clicks to get to what you want. And sometimes finding what a journalist covers, like a keyword or something, is difficult.

I like that it’s pretty intuitive, and that we can create as many insight reports as we need.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

I don't like that it's unpredictable. Sometimes my Boolean searches work well, and sometimes the same search won't. I also don't like how often it misses hits, or that radio hits have to be kept on a website to be found.

It's solving finding journalists, and tracking coverage and insights, which helps make our work more efficient and proves our value via insights and metrics.

I find CisionOne essential for media research as it identifies which newspapers and affiliate networks still exist in specific markets and reveals the outlets with a good-enough editorial executive staff. This feature greatly enhances my workflow and decision-making. Additionally, I appreciate that CisionOne is cost-effective for the breadth of functionalities it offers.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

I find the setup process more difficult now than it was before. Additionally, the new format seems less efficient as it impairs my ability to create comprehensive Excel lists filled with a multitude of media outlets. The older format was much better.

CisionOne helps me find shows that exist in specific markets and outlets with full editorial staffs, greatly impacting my workflow.

I like the simplicity of having all my accounts in one place with CisionOne. It's great that the notifications are quick and that it sweeps Google very well. I find it so effective that I use it daily and would recommend it to anyone in the PR/marketing industry. The setup was quite easy.

I wish there was more of an introduction to CisionOne. Maybe like a guided assistant to show what buttons to click and where to go.

The interface is intuitive and pretty easy to use. It also seems that the boolean searches have helped filter out a lot of irrelevant media coverage.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

I preferred the curated report email template from before CisionOne. That previous template enabled recipients to jump to different parts of the email that are relevant to them from the table of contents vs having to scroll through the entire report. It would also be nice to be able to create fully customized reports.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping with media monitoring, client tracking and identifying media outlets and contacts. Media monitoring is a huge benefit since we can ensure we're not missing any vital news or being aware of where our company is mentioned.

I appreciate that Cision provides a one-stop shop for all aspects of online brand presence and press. You can connect with reporters, get real-time alerts for tracked keywords, track your press release performance, and merge with PR Newswire so you can amplify your press releases on that platform as well.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

Their reporting is somewhat limited because you can't track endless media streams in one report. So if you're a large company, you can't see an all-in-one dashboard with your content

Cision primarily helps us protect our brand identity by getting real-time media alerts to ensure that the content being written about the company, we can put together a crisis com plan more efficiently with the immediate alerts

I really like CisionOne's newsletter function, which is easy to use and provides great summaries for articles. It's also easier to tag articles and generate Excel reports on the coverage per tag.

Sometimes it pulls through coverage that does not mention Harrods. It looks like the search may be set up wrong, and we are currently looking into this with the account manager, but sometimes I click on articles and Harrods was not at all mentioned.

**What do you like best about CisionOne?**

I love that it has a clean, easy-to-read interface that is easy to use to create simple search queries based on a topic, media outlet or name of a journalist. I also really love the ability to create and save lists within the platform.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

It is a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to work this version compared to previous iterations. It can also be challenging to narrow down searches for some topics. There are some filtering options available, but they aren't as intuitive or as helpful as they could be. The in-app email distributions are also interesting. I like the concept, but the execution needs some tweaking.

I also am not a huge fan of the email automation within CisionOne. When journalists receive the emails, it is painfully obvious it is coming from an automated system and it's impossible to get rid of the "via CisionOne" in the sender line. We much prefer using HubSpot for our automated outreach.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us find relevant media contacts and outlets that we can pitch to on behalf of our clients. It also has all of their contact information in one place, so it is a huge timesaver in creating media lists for specific outreach. 

We recently also started using it for some media outreach. It's nice that the contact information is already in the app and that we don't have to upload separate lists. It's also nice to see the open rates on the emails we are sending.

I appreciate the robust reporting capabilities of CisionOne, as it creates detailed and comprehensive reports. I have always liked this feature since using the old Cision platform. The quality of daily reports is a standout aspect for me.

The transition from the old Cision platform to CisionOne was difficult, and a lot of reporting data was lost during the process. This was frustrating, as it was not a smooth transition. The newsletter feature has issues with pulling in results that are inaccurate and do not match what was previously obtained with the old platform. The design of the daily reports is hard to read, and they tend to include a lot of small, inauthentic media coverage from smaller sites. This happens despite having set up a Boolean search. The reports need to be more accurately curated to pull only from authentic media sources. Currently, there are ongoing issues with the account that have not been fully resolved, which impacts the likelihood of recommending CisionOne to others.

CisionOne enhances media reporting with robust capabilities and assists in finding new journalists, but offers few benefits beyond the old platform.

The measurement capabilities with CisionOne are robust - there are a lot of different widgets, ways to analyze media activity and more. It's a very comprehensive tool.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

Unfortunately, since Cision upgraded to CisionOne, we've been increasingly unhappy with the solution. While it's quite robust in terms of capabilities, the UX is overly complicated and difficult to navigate. The way Cision is now pulling in results has also declined - it often misses coverage and/or can't pull accurate metrics. For the past three quarters, when it's come time to pull reports, our dashboards have broken or been deleted due to technical errors, forcing us to start from scratch.

The database has also declined substantially. More often than not, when we search for reporters, they aren't in the system. 

I've been a TrendKite / Cision user my whole career, but unfortunately, their "upgrade" to CisionOne has created some serious issues that will force us to look elsewhere.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to pull PR metrics that we need to inform our strategies and measure our success. We also use it for its media database to search reporters and more.

The reports work much faster/better than the old version and the automatic visualizations are a useful touch. Multiple tags work better than before, and recent (within the past few weeks) upgrades to text customization in media releases is a huge improvement.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

Shortly after the transition (Cision -->CisionOne) my team delt with some frustrating monthslong issues -- missed mentions, duplicate tags, report complications due to lack of backlogged tagged content transferred into the new platform. It seems as though the missed mentions improved with time, and duplicate tags were sorted with help from CisionOne after much back and forth.

I wish the layout of media mentions was more customizable and that the default view was not multiple streams. There are other features that would be hugely time-saving like de-duplicating contacts on slightly different media release sends at the same time (used often by location, for instance).

The CisionOne account management and customer support can be frazzled, with a confusing mixups and constant upgrade pitches rather than needed support. Quality of support and product is not aligned with cost, in my view.

The media coverage outside English-speaking countries is terrible, and the list of media contacts beyond the US and UK is poor. This has even led us to consider hiring a separate company to handle regional press releases.

The overall interface of CisionOne is a bit of a pain. The old Cision platform was way easier to use and get around in, and it took way less time and effort on my part. The whole interface feels cluttered, especially the sidebar, which makes it tough to navigate. The layout of the old Cision site was so much clearer and didn't require as much thought.

- Comprehensive media monitoring tool for the most part.

- Slow interface and regularly lags. 
- Media database removed descriptions of journalists in place of their X bios, which makes researching more labor intensive. 
- Media database filtering is hard to use and the results are often overwhelming. 
- Results from media monitoring often have discrepancies -- a publication may mention a company several times throughout the week but not all of the articles will appear. 
- Boolean queries are somewhat effective but often requires a lot of filtering, which then omits certain results. 
- Process for scheduling alerts is clunky, requiring extra steps just to schedule a recurring alert schedule.

**What problems is CisionOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about CisionOne?**

I find CisionOne really helpful when it comes to looking for searches and identifying potential reach numbers of media features we've worked on. Additionally, it assists in finding contacts from certain publications, which aids in my work efficiency.

**What do you dislike about CisionOne?**

I found the initial setup of CisionOne to be difficult, primarily because the process of transferring all our data from the old Cision platform was not smooth. Additionally, the search functionality is problematic; it currently does not allow searching by article link and only filters by keywords, which makes it difficult to find specific content. There are also accuracy issues with the search results, as sometimes I can't find certain articles, which is not ideal.

I use CisionOne to find relevant numbers for potential media reach and search for contacts, enhancing my work efficiency.

The difficulty in parceling out irrelevant mentions, lack of screening for low-quality AI generated content and news aggregators, unreliable interface between mention stream and daily reports produced from those streams.

It provide real-time monitoring, which reduces the amount of times we are blindsided by mentions. It also meets the need to quantify our public relations efforts with intuitive visualization that resonates with internal decision makers.
