"All-in-One Golf Tournament Management That Saved Me Hours"

What do you like best about ChipIn Pro?

Everything for the tournament lived in one place. Player registration, foursome assignments, sponsor packages and payments all ran through ChipIn, so the week of the event I wasn’t cross-referencing a spreadsheet against Venmo screenshots and a dozen emails to figure out who was actually in and who had paid. I could pull up the list and trust it. That saved me hours and made the morning of the event a lot calmer. The setup was simple enough that I didn’t need any technical help to get the event page live, and when I did have a question on the payment side, Mark and the team got back to me quickly. What do you dislike about ChipIn Pro?

The payment onboarding through Stripe was the one slow spot for me. Stripe put our account in a review that took longer than it should have, and for a stretch I was getting different answers from them about what was outstanding. That wasn’t ChipIn’s doing, and Mark spent real time on the phone with Stripe on my behalf to get it sorted, but if you’re setting up a new event, start the payment setup early rather than the week before registration opens. What problems is ChipIn Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I run a charity golf tournament for a volunteer nonprofit, and before ChipIn the whole thing was held together by a spreadsheet and a stack of checks. Registrations came in by email or word of mouth, payment came by cash or check whenever it came, and I was manually matching each one to a name, then rebuilding the foursome list, then sending the course an updated count. Sponsorships were tracked the same way. It worked, but it ate evenings for a month, and there was always a nagging worry that someone had paid and slipped through, or said they’d pay and hadn’t.

With ChipIn, registration, payments, pairings and sponsor packages are all tied together, so the roster is right the moment someone signs up, and we could finally take cards without inventing a process for it. The way this app performed, I’d estimate it cut my admin time by half, and the day of the event I handed the course a clean list instead of a corrected one. What do you like best about ChipIn Pro?

Very easy design. Intuitive. Integrated to payment platforms and email. Not expensive and cheap relative to time use. Has optionality but still easy to use. Significantly reduced the amount of time it took for us to register golf users and data entry. Roughly 80% less data entry and time. Good response time and support from staff. We have a 172 person golf outing that required lots of manual entry for registration and setting up tee sheet.
