After we got my AI assistant architecture & features lined up, I wanted to have a proper security setup with roles and permissions. My freelance suggested Cerbos’ open-source product, and I’m so glad I listened to him. It integrated with the open-source authentication solution I chose and I was able to write permissions in plain English and my developer implemented them as soon as I gave him the rules. The whole thing was much easier and faster than I expected, which was great. **What do you dislike about Cerbos?** My experience was really smooth, and I can't think of anything that caused me problems. It just worked. **What problems is Cerbos solving and how is that benefiting you?** Building an authorization layer for an app. ### 2. It runs decoupled from the codebase, and with the Playground that they offer, I can see in real-time, what are the implications of my changes. **What do you dislike about Cerbos?** The RBAC Policy Generator can have a little more functionality. Currently I am able to write basic RBAC policies, but as we need to write more complex policies, adding some AI support which can draft policies can help a lot. **What problems is Cerbos solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cerbos is simplifying access control for developers, and it completely changes the way I used to write authorization logic. ### 3.
