# What PR analytics tools connect media coverage data with website traffic and pipeline metrics so you can show leadership that press coverage is actually contributing to the business?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Curious how G2’s PR analytics reviewers and software researchers read this one, because it's the question budgets live or die on. What PR analytics tools connect press coverage to website traffic and pipeline metrics, so you can show leadership that the coverage was useful for business and the budget conversation doesn’t get short? </p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Impressions and AVE don't survive contact with a CFO anymore. So I've been digging through the<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/pr-analytics"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/pr-analytics">PR analytics</a> category for tools that make the coverage-to-business link visible. What that PR tool needs to include (in rough order of difficulty): </p><ul>
<li>Coverage plotted against site traffic, so spikes line up with placements</li>
<li>Referral attribution from the actual articles, not just "traffic went up"</li>
<li>The hard part down-funnel: form fills, demo requests, sign-ups traceable to earned audiences</li>
<li>Output that drops into the BI stack leadership already trusts</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Three names that keep surfacing:<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/muck-rack/reviews"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/muck-rack/reviews"><strong>Muck Rack</strong></a>,<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/meltwater/reviews"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/meltwater/reviews"><strong>Meltwater</strong></a>,<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/cisionone/reviews"> </a>and <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/notified-pr-platform/reviews"><strong>Notified</strong></a>. My read on each:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/muck-rack/reviews"><strong>Muck Rack</strong></a>: its Google Analytics integration matches referral traffic to specific articles via backlinks, and the Actions-to-Impact dashboard puts pitches, placements, and GA traffic in one view. </li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/meltwater/reviews"><strong>Meltwater</strong></a>: plots sessions and referred traffic against media exposure for any search, which makes the coverage-spike-to-traffic story easy to show. It's correlation more than attribution, though. So, strong for the traffic half, thinner on pipeline.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/notified-pr-platform/reviews"><strong>Notified</strong></a>: builds lead-generation attribution into unified earned/owned/paid reporting, so the business-outcome framing is native rather than bolted on. </li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">That's my reading from the outside. Coverage-to-traffic is largely solved, coverage-to-pipeline mostly isn't. Tell me where I've got it wrong, and which of these actually survived a leadership review.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p>

&lt;p&gt;The strongest tool is the one that exports clean placement-level data into your existing analytics and CRM stack. A polished PR dashboard helps, but leadership will usually trust the number more when it reconciles with GA4, the CRM, and the BI system they already use.&lt;/p&gt;
