What do you like best about CareerBuilder Talent Discovery?

I find CareerBuilder Talent Discovery easier to use than other job portals, especially for non-IT candidates. Its interface is easy to navigate, and the filters provided help me find the exact candidates I need. Features like experience selection, last modified details, and whether candidates have email and phone number in their resumes, as well as work status, are helpful. It has multiple filters which help in targetting the exact set of candidates in market. One can set a limit to the years of experience you are looking for, the minimum education you are targetting, and the freshness of the candidates on the portal which makes it way easier to take out the cream of the market and choose the right people to contact for a position. What do you dislike about CareerBuilder Talent Discovery?

CB is slower in terms of response rate in comparison to other competitive job portals available in the market. After hours of active calling, one may get a few connections, which is quite time-consuming whereas recruitment is a time game. Talking about the job posting on CB, the relevance of responses/applications that one gets through it is quite a concern. One has to filter out a lot of resumes to get a good one. What do you like best about CareerBuilder Talent Discovery?

Career Builder's classic mode makes it incredibly easy to pull up a specific search and narrow in on candidates. The easy "flip view" tab on each profile allows me to scan the page quickly and easily. Career Builder has allowed me to create quick and simple searches to find even the most niche skill set. What do you dislike about CareerBuilder Talent Discovery?

The newer version isn't as easy to navigate as classic mode is. The newer version has you actually click in to the profile without staying on the results page, which makes the process longer. I wish the classic mode features remained the same. I have to throw in a search first in order to be able to switch it over to classic mode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CareerBuilder Talent Discovery?

There are so many different categories to search in and you can also post jobs on there, which is a super easy way to get candidates applying. You can keep your searches broad or very narrow and I love that about it. I also like that you are able to specify how long ago a candidate updated their resume. Oftentimes I am recruiting for roles that have an extremely fast turnaround time so it's important for me to get people who are hot on the job market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CareerBuilder Talent Discovery?

I think sometimes it's hard to find super high level candidates on Career Builder. I don't know why I feel like many younger people, like recent graduates, utilize it but it feels like older people don't use it as much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can put in many different keywords and locations and it will filter out the best fit for my search. I also like how we can customize the search functions. I enjoy the inmail system they have as well. I wish there was an instant messaging system as well. that would be great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CareerBuilder Talent Discovery?

There are a lot of duplicate profiles. A lot of the time they show you a person who has a related skill to what you are looking for but it is not even in the realm of what you need. There needs to be more options for miles away as well, especially for cities that have terrible traffic and 10 miles can take an hour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
