**What do you like best about Candu?**

Candu has made it effortless to build experiences within our product that feel native, save development resources, and help guide users to new offerings & outcomes that otherwise wouldn't be possible. Once installed, the drag & drop builder is extremely easy to use and customize. Great for any team looking to drive experiences that they don't want to spend time and energy building natively. The team was also super accommodating in making sure we were set up for success.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

Nothing that I have run into yet, they've thought of almost everything and it shows in the product they've built.

Shipping dynamic experiences for adoption & conversion that feel like our native product but don't require custom design & development.

**What do you like best about Candu?**

The Candu team has created the best onboarding experience -- shoutout to Flora Sanders, our Onboarder! 

When our previous vendor informed us they were going out of business, Candu was on a shortlist of viable alternatives. They quickly impressed us with examples of what their platform is capable of and outlined a detailed migration/onboarding plan to ensure we would wouldn't experience any downtime. 

The quality of their in-app experiences has been off the charts, and their willingness to help us perfect our guides has been much appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

There is a bit of a learning curve to understand how to build, but it's nothing that time and practice won't solve.

**What problems is Candu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Candu is solving in-app communication for us, from digital onboarding guides to informational popups to product tours and more. This is benefiting us by being able to provide education and resources for customers at the moment of need without scheduling time with our customer success or support team.

What I like best about Candu is its ability to create personalized in-app experiences without needing to code. It allows product teams to easily customize onboarding flows, guide users with step-by-step tutorials, and display targeted content, which can greatly enhance user engagement and improve activation rates. The drag-and-drop editor is intuitive, making it simple to design and implement these personalized experiences directly within the product. **What do you like best about Candu?**

It is a modern and great tool to use for building in-product user flows, onboarding checklists, Homepages, Banners for alerts or notifications. They've recently launched hotspots that we are going to use too. They listen to our product feedback and move quick to impelement new features. 

What I ike the most is the final deployed design feels like it is build in your own product. If the iniatives that we test using Candu are successflu then move to implement them in-product ourselves. But using Candu you can quickly experiment with ideas without spending valuable time of engineers to build things in product.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

There is a bit of a learning curve when you first get started. But their team is helpful and if you have a CSM they can help with example implementations.

**What problems is Candu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Let's us quickly experiment with new initiatives without coding or requiring engineering time to add to in-product (which is slower).

We use Candu in many instances, whether it's in-app promotion, surveys, or operational flows. There are so many options to customize in Candu that I think it fits every brand! Of course, this can sometimes feel overwhelming, but the support that the Candu Team provides is absolutely amazing and prompt (special shoutout to Flora)!

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

So many elements and customizing options can be overwhelming at first, but Candu Team really does their best to help you build appropriate modals and take their time to explain how it works and answer any questions. Allow yourselves a few test modals to understand how things work.

**What problems is Candu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves time for our team because we don't have to involve our engineers to create in-product messaging or flows.

**What do you like best about Candu?**

It is very easy to create content, iterate and A/B test different approaches without needing the help of a developer. The flexibility of the tool allowed us to embed interactive content into our product without coding. We optimized our onboarding and engagement experiences by building the onboarding survey, empty states, resource center, various banners and overlays, all implemented using Candu. The Candu team has always been very helpful in this process, making sure we are successfully leveraging the tool.

The analytics interface is not very advanced, yet we are able integrate Candu with our other analytics tools for more detailed analysis, which solves the problem for the most parts.

Candu is extremely easy to adopt and implement. We were able to see value almost immediately by creating a direct line of communication to our users to encourage engagement of features, deliver education, promote upcoming features and more. After years of utilizing Candu, we are still finding new ways to get value from it across different stages of the customer lifecycle from trialing to onboarding and so on.

We haven't run into any issues when utilizing the product and the Candu team has been extremely supportive and beneficial to us as partners.

By utilizing Candu, we were able to successfully incorporate in-app surveys and it has the capability to play a crucial role in multiple ventures. What I value most about Candu is its ability to adapt to users' needs. They are always listening to our feedback and propose medium and long-term solutions. In just a year, the tool has transformed, and we have seen how many of our needs have been met.

What I like least about Candu is that often, important updates go unnoticed.

With Candu, we managed to create contextual help within the product and communicate updates. One of the points we still haven't covered, but we know is being worked on, is the creation of product tours.

Can we build this with Candu?

This is a question we've started to ask when we're building/tweaking our onboarding experience and the answer to that more often than not has been — Yes!

1. The ability to build onboarding experiences without code. It has saved our team a ton of dev effort.
2. The fact that we can build personalized experiences for different audiences at scale.
3. No SaaS tool even comes close to their customer support. Huge shoutout to Lauren & Flora. 🙌

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

There's nothing to dislike about Candu. We're very happy with them. Their team is always all ears about the feedback we've given them and they're super focused on making the product better with every new update they rollout. Can't wait for them to add support for checklists at an org level.

**What problems is Candu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Candu extensively to onboard and educate our users. We've built personalized in-app home screens, checklists, empty states, announcement banners, and help strips using Candu — all without writing a single line of code or dev effort.

**What do you like best about Candu?**

Candu enables us to pounce on our in-product growth experiments with a ferocity. We move fast to measure how we nudge our users toward desired outcomes. There's hardly a feature we haven't used Candu to boost, bring attention to, or add essential details. We can put content exactly where we need it and blend it perfectly with the UI, versus just popups like we used to.

We started with Candu pretty early in their development, and they've been amazingly reactive to our feature requests. The product has only gotten better and better to work with. 

As a Growth Ops member, I love that once we were set up in Candu, we just need to pipe the data from Hightouch to Candu and our Scaled CX team can function on their own.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

I would love to see the ability when each trait was last updated in Candu to enable the CX team to clean up more easily old, unused traits that are no longer synced. 

Templating language for variables in content would help with less back-and-forth between the CX and Data team. For example, if the Data team sends a decimal percentage to Candu, the CX team can't convert that decimal into a percentage in Candu like Customer.io can. Or another example is making the first letter capitalized in a name variable.

Product stickyness is high. Once you begin to explore all of its rich features then it can become difficult to switch to other platforms. The learning curve can be steep for beginners and less tech-savvy users but if you are a designer or developer you feel right at home.

Candu is solving the problem of busy development teams by allowing other team members to update the UI without taking up developer resources. This is especially useful for empty states, monthly rotating dashboards, and onboarding flows that need to change as the product evolves.

**What do you like best about Candu?**

It's amazing how quickly they improve their product. They listen to the needs of customers and seek to solve it. The Customer Experience team members are really involved and help with everything. I think the idea is good but his way of working to improve is better!

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

The learning curve is complicated. I think they should go deeper into support and customer onboarding programs. At first and if you don't have design knowledge it can be a bit frustrating to get results. The responsive adaptation is also a point to improve, but I know that they are working on it.

**What problems is Candu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Candu allows us to be more agile and independent when publishing informative or educational content. We do not need the product team, we have independence in adaptation and management. It greatly speeds up our tests and helps us make better business decisions!

Not much to dislike, when I face a challenge, the support team always steps up and resolves the issue promptly. Overall, my fondness for Candu has grown over the years.

There are no downsides - at times it was hard to use the product but their team took a lot of feedback to improve the product. 
I personally participate to user research wich makes things move foward when it comes to UX.

We are working on activation and retention.
Especially with a highly technical product like ours, we need specific content at a specific time to be displayed to our users. Candu allows us to do that.

**What do you like best about Candu?**

Candu allows me to quickly experiment and iterate on many different types of content without having to involve engineering-- Banners for product instruction, First time experiences and user research have been my main projects with Candu. 

Quick hands-off recruiting for user research and surfacing contextual links over to our user help portal have been my most successful projects, and the analytics Candu provides on the content they surface helps me understand how users engage with the content.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

Targeting pages takes time to learn & requires a good knowledge of how URLs are constructed in your application. 

The Candu team has been AMAZING here, helping us to understand what's going on and accommodating product improvements to get our banners on the correct pages.

Candu has allowed us to quickly get information in front of customers all in one place. Keeping help docs, relevant articles, case studies, and product alerts on our product's homepage keeps clients engaged in a scaleable way.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

It can take a bit to get pages set up but thankfully the team at Candu has gone above and beyond in helping us get up and running quickly. Once we are set up, its quick and easy to make any edits and publish them.

Asking clients to track project status in another platform or reading product updates from an email is a big request when onboarding them to a new platform. Candu lets us deliver all this information and more directly within our product without needing to tap into too many resources.

It was cool until they revealed that they were fundamentally a shady company.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

Candu ran a lifetime deal to raise money to build their product on Appsumo. They had many users purchase the product, guaranteeing future updates. Then they put everybody who purchased the Appsumo plan on a legacy pricing plan and refused to give access to new features. 

#1 bad business practice for any company that ran an Appsumo campaign. Highly recommend not engaging with such a company.

I wouldn't know, they put us on a legacy plan and stopped updating the product for Appsumo users after taking our money.

**What do you like best about Candu?**

Candu has been a great addition to the UX team tool stack. Everything from onboarding & first-time UX to customer communications and research respondent sourcing. Being able to incorporate elements directly inline in our UI, that look native, has performed way better than traditional in-app pop-ups. Additionally, the team at Candu has been very responsive and they are constantly adding new features. Highly recommend!

It was very easy to install and use, technically.  It's also easy for non-technical users to create and manage content that looks native to the web app.  The user experience is much better than Pendo.

The platform continues to evolve quickly, so some features are still moving around and some are clunky (e.g., promoting content across environments).  Also, plans get added, dropped, and changed fairly frequently.

Accelerating web app changes without requiring developer time and effort.  In particular, non-programmers can respond within minutes to address UX issues seen in session replays by adding, removing, or changing help text, graphics, and such.

Candu has made it possible for me to quickly and easily add new pages to our app and site without having to wait for our developers. Design a page in Candu with any elements you want and then one-click make it live on your app or page. I love the array of sophisticated templates, many with interactive features like checklists that change the user experience by what they check. Their WYSIWIG editor gets easier to use all the time. I also love how fast they are to improve their app, often implementing improvements and features suggested by users like me.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

The initial setup and also the creation and editing interface can be intimidating at first, but once you've got the hang of it, it's super easy to create what you want, and their live chat help is there to get you through  tough spots.

As the head of training for our SaaS app I'm responsible for making sure new users have a smooth onboarding experience. Candu enabled me to quickly create a video "how to" library as well as an automated user onboarding checklist that provides lessons in step with a users response to key questions.

We are constantly looking for opportunities to free capacity for our front-end team. Candu allows us to make iterative changes without disrupting the roadmap and avoiding scheduling delays. As we are an early-stage business moving quickly is absolutely key for our growth!

I use this primarily to display key metrics to our users to help boost their engagement and help them get more value out of our platform.  Candu has been seamless to deploy and understand. The integration with Segment has made it super easy for us to get all of our data in that we need to tailor content on an individual user basis.

I've come across some minor bugs along the way, but happy that they've all been solved promptly by the responsive support team.

**What problems is Candu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to speed up the time it takes us to implement changes has meant we have been able to improve our users' experience with our product.  Being able to showcase metrics helps to drive their behaviour in a positive way and it would have taken us a serious amount of time to build this from scratch ourselves. We also are always thinking of new ways to use Candu throughout our product.

Main benefits are saving time, money (saved development resources), and not feeling frustrated at not being able to deliver updates quikcly. Also I don’t need to spend time explaining myself a bunch of times to a busy developer, and then again when there are inevitable updates or changes that need to be made.

It is very powerful but the learning curve would be my first concern. It is more designed for the people who know what they are doing. Such as the IT guys. It is not very easy for non-tech people.

I get to add content blocks to any website and then anyone on my team can edit the blocks without having to change any coding. This is great because we are distributed so if somebody notices an error or wants to change a detail then they can do it themselves.

I thought the installation was a bit confusing but it worked out in the end. Somebody on our technical team came up and looked at it for a couple of minutes, and then, problem solved.

We are mostly applying it for self-service support. It’s great that we can put in all kinds of resources, and whenever there is a new feature to support I can change the page by myself.

I had initially purchased the product since it claimed that even a business person with no technical knowledge could operate it and get UI changes done to a live website, I thought this would be a nifty tool for the elderly clients and got on board, the company also promised all future updates included in the deal for no additional charge, but now, post the refund period, the tool is nowhere close to what they claimed ( it still requires one to know how to log in and embed a javascript code, and whitelist a domain) to be able to use the tool, whats worse is that the learning curve is steeper than learning elementor and designing a website from scratch.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

I genuinely believe that a tool is only as good as the ethics of the person backing the saas, which in this case is a real substantial red flag; the founder seems to be up his head in ego on how he managed to save on his testing budget by selling his half baked product with the features that he was planning to give away for free on appsumo, and having the early adopters test the tool and help refine it, only to go back on the promise made and make the early adopters pay for the actual tool. He for one feels that he can use those early adopters for free bug detection (where they actually pay to test the product) and for unlimited reviews, now heres where he is wrong, you would see a hoard of reviews that outline the real problem with the tool, which is the founder, who is the actual tool so to speak.

I would never recommend this tool to any friend of mine, you can try it at your own peril, check out the free trial, you would run out of trial days before you even come to terms with how to use the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Candu:**

Stay away and dont buy, check out other tools in the market that can do this or get trained in making small updates to your website using native builders or pay someone to do it for you, you would be saving a ton more on the time you save.

Zilch, nothing, nada. The tool is far from what was promised, the only thing that they have is a polished website, one paid advertisement that showcases the ease of use of the tool (by skipping the importatant points) and a whole lot of lies in their sales copy.

Candu is a spectacular platform to put forth your coding standards for your organization. It gives the unique feature of code simplicity and user convenience altogether. All of my code structure is composed based on my requirements at different platforms using Candu.

Candu platform has drag&drops features, which can get clumsy at times. The pricing standard that Candu specifies is slightly higher than other similar coding platforms in the marketplace. In case of issues, the resolution lies entirely with the user exploration of the product.

This is a powerful tool, such as placing campaign or lead generation content anywhere on my (or a client's) website without having to write code, install a plugin or customize a widget.

First of all, the team behind it is incredible. The customer support is so friendly and always helpful. 
Secondly, I am working as a non-developer. Candu eases so many processes that you can not imagine, from building blocks to segment them based on many factors. Building these blocks on your own will require tremendous work besides the ongoing cost for developers and a long time frame to accomplish—a great tool.

**What do you dislike about Candu?**

The limitation of injecting JavaScript codes. For instance, injecting a payment form into the block from another service. This is not possible at the moment. However, the team confirms that this functionality will be added soon.

**What problems is Candu solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simply I can build website apps by just adding some blocks to the web page. For instance, building a customer onboarding page by just draging and drop blocks and, as simple as that, I created an onboarding page in few minutes. No code is required.

It is easy to create different modules based on the specific needs of each client or each client group; that´s a great time-saving feature. Then, it is super easy to embed the modules precisely in the website area that I need them to display using an iframe.

I dislike nothing at the moment; there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to integrating Candu with other software tools that I use, such as CRM, but Candu´s support team has been excellent in helping me.

For non-coders, Candu is absolutely a great asset to have for customer onboarding automation. And if you are creative, you can use this software to generate helpful tools for your business that go beyond customer onboarding.

I always have huge delays relaying information to my programming team and the frequency I need to update, or segment, notification and onboarding changes would be unreasonable for them to do. This allows quick changes the way I need it! It's still a new product so there are a few glitches here and there, but nothing major that I've noticed so far and the customer service is always very responsive. I see this going places in the future!

Small glitches but they seem to be on it and don't imagine these will last long.
