Not fully customizable without having to purchase additional add-ons. For example, getting extra reports can at times cost hundreds of dollars. Need to work with an implementation partner to receive upgrades. UI is not user-friendly unless you have a developer background. Hard to edit any documents without having to fully re-map the pages. As the CEO of a fast-scaling human capital firm, I’ve worked with several CRMs and ATS platforms over the years — and Bullhorn stands out for its combination of reliability, configurability, and depth. We've used Bullhorn across multiple divisions (Search, Staffing, and Consulting), and it has proven to be a solid foundation as we’ve grown and evolved our business. What We Like: Configurability: We’ve been able to tailor workflows and automations to fit the distinct rhythms of our Search vs. Staffing divisions. Robust Reporting: The custom reporting and dashboard functionality has been key in giving visibility into pipeline health, recruiter activity, and client engagement. Marketplace Ecosystem: The integrations with partners (like Herefish, Sense, and LinkedIn) make it easier to streamline operations without reinventing the wheel. Bullhorn is a useful sales and recruiting software that makes it easier to stay organized and manage daily tasks. It offers a lot of helpful features like tracking candidates, keeping records of client communication, and scheduling follow-ups, all in one place. Once you get the hang of it, Bullhorn helps simplify your workflow and cuts down on the time you would spend switching between different tools. What do you dislike about Bullhorn? Even though Bullhorn is a good program overall, there are a few things that could be improved. Some features are not easy to find, and there isn’t a clear section or tab that shows everything the program can do. This can make it frustrating when you’re trying to locate a specific tool or function. Another issue is that Bullhorn can sometimes feel slow when loading, though it’s hard to know if it’s because of the software or just a weak internet connection. What problems is Bullhorn solving and how is that benefiting you? Bullhorn solves the problem of keeping track of a large number of candidates by providing a convenient and organized system to manage them all in one place. Instead of juggling multiple spreadsheets or platforms, Bullhorn keeps everything in a central location, making it easier to stay organized and efficient. I can quickly access candidate profiles, notes, and communication history without having to search through different systems. The layout is easy to navigate, so I can spend less time figuring out where things are and more time focusing on my work. This convenience helps me stay on top of my daily tasks and saves me a lot of time. Another key benefit of Bullhorn is how it makes finding the right candidates faster and easier through its advanced search tools. The search system allows me to refine and filter searches with a high level of detail, so I can narrow down candidates by specific skills, locations, or other important factors. This reduces the time it takes to find qualified candidates and makes the recruiting process more effective.
