What I like best about Brex is how clean and intuitive the UI/UX is, making daily navigation very simple for our team. The performance is solid transactions and receipts sync in real time without lag. Its native integrations with accounting software make month-end reconciliation seamless.

I also appreciate the built-in AI intelligence for automatically categorizing expenses and matching receipts, which saves us hours of manual data entry. Occasionally, the transaction filters can be a little clunky when I'm pulling custom reports for specific date ranges. Also, sorting out charges across different international currencies sometimes needs an extra manual check on our end before closing out the books. Brex simplifies paying contractors, consultants, and vendors. It also does a great job allowing me to manage employee spend via Brex cards. We also appreciate the ease with which Brex integrates with Quickbooks Online. I prepare the transactions and then our outside bookkeeping firm syncs Brex with QBO and is able to quickly and easily prepare our monthly financials. About 1 year ago I began to use Brex Bill pay. It didn't do a great job of recognizing invoices and correctly identifying invoice number, payment amount etc. Recently, though, that feature has been improved and I've begun using it again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Brex makes it easy to keep my expenses in one place, see where I’m spending, and keep a historical record of what I’ve spent. It’s easy to use and gives me the information I need in one place. The suggested expense categories and memos save me time because I can pick from them and expand on them a little when needed. I find Brex very intuitive and startup- or small-company-friendly. I like that it brings several financial tools together, including employee credit cards, treasury and cash management across multiple bank accounts, and bill pay, and makes the cards easier to administer. We earn rewards on most purchases, including some vendor purchases, and interest on a significant portion of our cash. Brex also simplifies workflows for employees and administrators. I can forward or upload invoices, bills, receipts, and reimbursement information and have it autofill, which saves a lot of time and helps us avoid needing to hire accounts payable staff. Setting up bank accounts and employee reimbursements was very simple: I just sent email invites to employees and moved cash into the new accounts. Sometimes the QuickBooks Online integration is a little clunky, and vendor syncing and creation, along with invoice issuance, aren’t quite where I’d like them to be, so I don’t use Brex’s invoice/AR feature today. I used Brex in 3 countries, and it was reliable every time. What I love most about it is that I can always count on my Brex card. I made purchases in different countries and locations, and I never had issues. The app is easy to use, too. I can easily switch between budgets.

I also love getting notifications in Slack and WhatsApp. I can easily manage all notifications from my phone or laptop. Additionally, when I first got the card and started using it, it was easy to learn.

I find Brex extremely easy to use. I could use the app before my card even arrived, and it’s easy to navigate. I like getting a text when something is charged so I can upload the receipt with a memo right away, either by text or in the app, and be done. The card works well, and I like that I can use it with Apple Pay or in other ways without having to dig out my card. It feels like a unique and efficient way to use a card. Setup was extremely simple: I got an email, set it up within minutes, and could use it the same day. I was surprised by how simple the receipt and reimbursement process was, and I was able to learn it within a day. I’m really pleased with it and would definitely recommend it. I have to remember to assign expenses to the right category, though it’s not really clunky. When I upload a receipt by text, I still have to go into the app to choose the location or service center it’s charged to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The simplicity, the ease of use, and the fact that you don't stop any wire transaction very often. The last bank stopped a wire 80% of the time if you didn't answer the fraud call line. It was causing so much friction and delay in payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't like how difficult writing a check is. Many small companies only use checks. I personally don't, but I often have to work around paying my customers because of the long delay in mailing a check. Also, your company is not recognized by some payment or accounting platforms. I like that Brex is a free platform that's super powerful, getting things done quickly and easily. It makes payment management seamless and convenient, whether I'm sending ACHs, wiring money, or paying bills. I appreciate that it's hassle-free to make payments and track expenses by just pressing a few buttons. The platform allows me to use a credit card or a virtual credit card and send money via ACH or wire very quickly and affordably, all in one place. I really appreciate how simple it is to create virtual cards that are linked to specific budgets, as well as the option to submit invoices that are automatically matched to the corresponding charges without any manual effort. At times, I notice that my customizations for the Expense views unexpectedly disappear and revert back to the default settings. It would be very helpful if there were an option to include both myself and my team members together in budget reports.
