"All-in-One Customer Engagement with Powerful Segmentation and Analytics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Braze?

What I like best about Braze is the ability to manage different customer engagement campaigns from one platform. I regularly use segmentation, campaign automation, email, push notifications, and in-app messaging. The audience tools are very helpful because I can target groups instead of sending the same message to everyone. I also like the campaign analytics UI because I can see how people interact with messages and use that information to improve future campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

The biggest issue I have experienced with Braze is the learning curve. There are many features and options, so I can feel overwhelmed when you are new to the platform. Setting up more advanced campaigns can also take some time and planning. Pricing can be another concern because it may be expensive for smaller teams or businesses with limited marketing budgets. Also, I would like to see a simpler setup process for some advanced features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Braze?

I like how Braze provides a unified vision for everything involving a journey. It has everything in one place, like email steps, segmentation, push notifications, and liquid content, making it clear and easy to understand. The journey contains everything needed for automation or triggers without needing to switch to other places, which is very useful. I also find the features like content blocks, CSV uploads, and the media library helpful even when they are outside the journey. The ability to preview emails and pushes easily is a big plus, as well as the liquid writing, which is straightforward especially with the AI personalization tool. It's also easy to QA. Braze saves me a lot of time by having everything consolidated, unlike my previous experience with Salesforce. The introduction of AI to Braze helps in smoothly transitioning within journeys when troubleshooting or reviewing information, allowing real-time visibility. I found the setup straightforward and the certification courses helped me get started quickly, making it easy to scale up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Customization, But Limited Reports"
5/5
What do you like best about Braze?

I really like Braze for its personalized events and real-time features. You can log a customer's actions and contact them in real-time, allowing for great personalization in communication based on what the user does in the app. I also appreciate the interface, which is quite comfortable, as well as the new features they are adding. I think Braze is at the forefront of technology and really excels in these areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

For me, the big problem with Braze has always been the reporting. I think their reporting tool is not up to par with the other features the application has, and I always find it very difficult. I don't know if they have dashboards, but they should have more flexibility to create reports. It would be great to have a global, personalized view of the things we care about, and I think that can't be created at the moment. Additionally, the initial setup was very complicated. "Empowers Teams with Autonomy and Personalization"
4.5/5
Describe the project or task Braze helped with:

Braze empowers teams by providing tools that allow for autonomy and personalization in campaign management. The platform's features, such as the canvas journey builder and Creative Studio, enable users to create and manage subscriber lifecycle flows and assets without engineering support. This independence is crucial for maintaining alignment with editorial and subscription cycles, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Braze?

I really appreciate how Braze has freed my team from reliance on engineering, allowing us to keep pace with our editorial and subscription cycles. The canvas journey builder is particularly valuable because it lets me construct multi-step subscriber lifecycle flows without any engineering support. The Creative Studio, paired with the Canva integration, removes friction in asset creation, making it easier to ship campaigns on schedule. Personalization through Liquid scripting is at the core of our messaging, allowing us to deliver content recommendations tailored to different reader segments, effectively helping with retention and re-engagement programs. Liquid-driven personalization also plays a crucial role in ensuring the right content reaches the right audience, keeping churn in check and enhancing loyalty. The initial setup was quite easy, with no significant issues encountered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Driving Revenue Through More Connected Customer Engagement"
4/5
Describe the project or task Braze helped with:

Braze is a powerful platform with strong customer support and a team that genuinely works to help customers get value from the technology. While we haven’t yet fully implemented all of Braze’s features and capabilities, we’re optimistic about the value it can bring as we continue to expand our use of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Braze?

From a marketing leadership perspective, our experience with Braze has been very positive, particularly when it comes to the onboarding and customer support experience. The Braze onboarding and support teams have been excellent throughout the process and consistently responsive and helpful.

While some of our internal development constraints meant we weren’t able to fully onboard and utilise all of the available features, the Braze team did everything they could to help us navigate these challenges and identify practical ways to get value from the platform.

We were able to successfully implement and use the SMS capabilities, which we found straightforward and easy to manage. The ability to review previous campaigns and activity also makes it easy for marketing teams to manage and reference past activity.

The AI Advisor feature is also a strong addition, providing robust capabilities and useful insights, although some aspects can still be technical for a marketing-led user. The responsive support team makes it much easier to navigate these areas.

I would particularly recommend scheduling a strategic call with the Customer Success team. The use cases and practical examples they provided were especially helpful in helping us understand what was possible with Braze and, importantly, how those capabilities could be aligned back to our business objectives. They took the time to understand our unique challenges and tailor recommendations accordingly, helping us identify ways to still leverage Braze despite some of our internal limitations.

Overall, Braze is a powerful platform with strong customer support and a team that genuinely works to help customers get value from the technology. While we haven’t yet fully implemented all of Braze’s features and capabilities, we’re optimistic about the value it can bring as we continue to expand our use of the platform. "Top-Tier Engagement with Steep Cost & Complexity"
5/5
What do you like best about Braze?

What stands out most about Braze is how seamlessly it supports real-time, cross-channel orchestration. Canvas makes it easy to build complex, branching lifecycle flows, and it feels intuitive to test and adjust user journeys as you go. Being able to trigger contextual push notifications, in-app messages, and emails from live event streams—without needing engineering for every small tweak—is a huge win. Liquid personalization and Connected Content also make it straightforward to scale truly dynamic messaging. Overall, it connects behavioral data with campaign execution in a way that feels effortless, which makes day-to-day optimization genuinely painless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

Braze’s biggest drawback is its steep pricing and strict data-point limits, where overages can become expensive very quickly. For non-technical users, there’s also a challenging learning curve around Liquid syntax. On top of that, the out-of-the-box reporting still feels too basic unless you export raw data through paid add-ons like Currents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Workflow capability, internationalization, and sandbox or test environments have been weak for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Consumer Communication with Powerful AI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Braze?

I like Braze for its AI capabilities, analytics, and easy integration with various platforms, especially the native integration with app SDKs. These features let us test thousands of different variables and hyper-personalize communication with our consumers, which is incredibly helpful. The technology and canvas features are also standout aspects, especially compared to our previous tool, HubSpot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

Integration with WhatsApp and SMS through Braze carries higher costs compared to other partners, so we end up using webhooks instead. It would be helpful if there was integration available with other partners like Jelou and Eclipsoft to help manage these costs better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Braze to build and manage personalized multi-channel customer engagement campaigns and appreciate its user-friendly experience. The tool is easy to use for non-technical folks, especially with features like Canvas which simplify creating customer journeys. The ease of using Canvas, Liquid script, and Segments for personalized, automated, and targeted customer journeys is something I value in Braze. The initial setup was pretty straightforward, thanks to its user-friendly interface and configuration tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

I think Braze could definitely improve on its reporting and troubleshooting capabilities, especially when it comes to clearly showing errors. That would make it a lot easier to understand and fix issues as they come up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Precise, Personalized Campaigns"
4/5
What do you like best about Braze?

I really value the canvas journey builder in Braze. It lets me map out a full multi-step automation flow without needing engineering support, so I can run campaigns effectively. The integration with Canva has simplified producing creative assets, making our fast-moving campaigns much easier to manage. What sets Braze apart is its personalization capability, particularly through Liquid scripting, which helps tailor product recommendations to each audience segment. This level of relevance transforms our routine messages into engaging content. Additionally, using Braze allows me to build and run separate, automated campaign journeys for different audiences, such as healthcare professionals and patient-facing segments, ensuring precise and compliant campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

Where I would like to see improvement is the AI copywriting assistant. It gives me a serviceable starting point, but every draft still calls for a careful human hand before it goes anywhere. The ability to feed in our brand voice guidelines and reference examples would make that feature far more dependable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
