**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

I get exactly what I need for my learners and I have an easy to use dashboard to monitor their performance. Blue Volt is continuing to evolve and the sharing center where I can access content from manufacturers  and easily drop into my LMS makes me feel like I am part of an ecosystem where I can connect with partners to help achieve my objectives and grow my business.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

Could have a better UI design. Doesn't have the level of support I would hope for.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueVolt LMS:**

Think hard about what you want in a learning platform/LMS.  You certainly can pay more and have a more complicated system that takes longer for users and admins to get up to speed but do you need anything else?  We got what we wanted at a price that we were very pleased with...

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a reasonably priced, easy to use LMS and we wanted as a separate initiative to connect with more partners in our space.  With Blue Volt we get both in one platform!

  ### 2. Good system, a little buggy, high company turnover

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

The system is easy to use.  End users can usually find what they're looking for quickly.  The ability for suppliers to share content into our university is a major plus.  The technical support is usually very responsive, although there have been a couple of times when things have lingered on for a while.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

The system has its bugs for sure. It gets confused when assigning multiple training tracks to a user resulting in rework.  Basically, it will delete the first training track when you add the second one.  We've learned to work around this, since the BlueVolt support team was unable to recreate this error that happens on a regular basis.  The system is constantly getting updates, which is great except that the menus and where things are located change as well, which is frustrating.  It's almost like when Microsoft updates Excel and just shuffles everything around.  It takes time to relearn where everything is again.  These updates also make the how-to videos that they have obsolete since the dropdown menus are all different.  

There seems to be a lot of turnover with the customer success managers.  Even during our implementation 3 years ago we had a change which delayed our launch.  Just this year, we've had 4 different CSM's.  Being assigned a CSM that is new to the BlueVolt system is frustrating.  It's of no fault of their own, however, they are unable to answer questions that I may have.  I typically just bypass my CSM and send issues straight to the support group.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's been very good at getting all of our training into one system.  We utilize our LMS for a variety of training, including onboarding, compliance, product, OJT, personal development, ILT and job-specific training.   We've significantly reduced the number of systems where training throughout our organization resides, which has made it much easier to keep track of training overall.

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

I like that everything is digital and no paper - and the reminders. All of our trainings (Product and Safety) are in one spot. It is very helpful for us to find what we are needing in one spot.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

Sometimes I forget to do the training right away BUT the reminders are very helpful. Honestly, from a user standpoint, there are no complaints. I have not had to be an admin to anything but from the employee level of me taking trainins, I have no complaints.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueVolt LMS:**

Keep in mind everything you would like to have access to. Some of our vendors don't support having their product raining on BV which is okay but as I have mentioned, it is very nice to have everything under one roof.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting our entire company their safety training in a timely manner each month - all in one location. Safety and product training are all under one login with is extremely helpful to keep everyone on the dame page

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

The people are great, helpful and knowledgeable.  Overall I like the platform itself, and I have had few issues with user experience, all of which were resolved quickly and most of which had to do with user error.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

The setup of the pages themselves could be more intuitive, drag and drop or suggested template pages. I would also like to have more email options in terms of templates and tracking like open %. I would also like the site to track metrics like the last time a user logged in, how often users log in, etc.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Self-paced learning capability for the people who sell our products. Agility to adapt to changing business needs and be able to communicate those changes quickly to the registered audience.  Metrics that help us see what people engage with to make better decisions on how to spend training dollars.

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

Vendors are able to directly load their courses into the system.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

There is a laundry list....each time I send in a request, you get an auto response then usually the next day another response.  Often the responses aren't detailed enough so it takes several attempts to get the answer.  I don't like the dashboard and the way it is situated.  I don't like that I have forklift course that will only run in Firefox due to BV.  I don't like how much it I have to do - I think there should be more done on BV's part.  It is cumbersome and tacky to deal with.  I dread each time I must interact with the program.

Stay away!

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None.  My rep, Don R, is fantastic.  He is easy to Zoom with and tries to keep our company on track for our goals.  I've said he is the only reason I have anything positive to say about BV.

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

The employees are helpful and genuinely want to help you build your best university. The support team is very knowledgeable and typically offers answers to questions promptly. There is also a lot of manufacturer and vendor courses available to be shared with our university.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

Although there are a lot of vendor courses that are shared, it can be very cumbersome to get them added and organized to our university. This is especially challenging when our main focus right now is building our own content. Being emailed to add and highlight courses that are not our own is frustrating because we know these are not the courses our employees are looking for at this time.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It feels like BlueVolt has lost sight of who they are; they are trying to be too many things in the LMS space. First and foremost, I view BlueVolt as an LMS provider, and they do an okay job; I would like to see more enhancements with quizzing and functionality within the course setup. Less with reporting, monetizing our university, and their content building/sharing.

The availability with our strategic partners, it makes it easier for us to collaborate and share our content with other companies using the same platform, the rewards program helps a lot too

There are some options that we have discussed with the team, and we haven't received the response we were expecting, we still believe that is in progress but is not matching our needs for now

e-learning platform to share our content and provide additional collaboration between our sales team and the marketing team and also We leverage this tool on the Pandemic environment to continue educating our customers.

There's a LOT to learn, but that's because the platform is so flexible and customizable. Getting reports out of the platform could be a bit more user-friendly.

Areas where improvement would be appreciated are: categorizing courses from shared platform at point of upload vs. having to do after import, simplified processes to upload offline course participation, and expanded manufacturer partnerships to get their content on our LMS.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueVolt LMS:**

Discuss with your key manufacturers to confirm they have training on the system which you can access. If you have external LMS's with technology providers, for example, demonstrate their ability to integrate beforehand.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BlueVolt has allowed us to centralize reporting for our associates on their learning, which opens up opportunities for further development. We can also integrate training with our customer incentives. We're showing that we're investing in our associates and demonstrating to our manufacturers that their products are essential to us.

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

I like that BlueVolt has an easy user interface and easy sharing tools among companies. We use it to distribute information from our vendors and partners across our team, so it has opened chanels of communication and saved us time and communication.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

I dislike how the backend, especially in the sharing system, is not so easy to edit. It takes many clicks for me to add information and edits, and I feel things would be easier if I didn't have to click through so many pages, tabs, and buttons. I also dislike that search terms must be added automatically, and course terms are not automatically searchable. As a user, I could never find videos I was looking for because our admins had not added the search terms for the titles.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are streamlining communications and information between our vendors and sales team. It was formerly difficult to keep our salesteam up to date on all of the products offered from our vendors, but now it is easy for them to discover more information about these topics.

Have a good course structure to start. It will save you a lot of time.

Tracking our training with our dealers is going to be much easy, and having the assessments be graded is a good tool to evaluate their knowledge.

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

I love the ideas that BlueVolt has for the LMS.  They continually try to both adapt and drive innovation in the training industry.  An example of this is the presentation of their new 360 feature!

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

I dislike the lack of ability to see our own analytics.  There are vital user and course records that we need to operate as a business that we are missing or have to fight to receive.  The lack of follow-through and planning for user impacts is also extremely frustrating.  For example, a feature that was in beta that Bluevolt told us would not be activated without our "go-ahead" was activated without our knowledge causing massive problems in our university.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently working with BlueVolt to improve analytics.  Once the dashboard is complete, it will help guide our decision-making process.

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

The BlueVolt interface is simple to use. It is well laid out and there are lots of options for configuring to meet your organization's needs.

The BlueVolt team is lovely to work with. They are friendly and helpful and want you to get the most out of the system they provide.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

Sometimes the help material is a little light on specific topics or doesn't cover what I am looking to do.

As with any software, there are occasionally bugs in the system, particularly around reporting.

BlueVolt is a great tool for anyone looking to share their training materials.

BlueVolt has allowed us to share our training materials with many more people than it would have otherwise reached. We're able to use the Sharing Center to share our content and expand our network even further.

The team is always attentive.  There has been some turnover with our account team

We need to train a large number of people in our dealer network.  This helps reaching the target audience with consistent educational pieces

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

I liked the ease of use once the course is uploaded.  User friendly , easy to navigate, and looked good across all platforms. Overall it has been a good experience.  Our company had been already committed to using another platform but decided to look into Bluevolt due to dealing with one of it's employees on a separate project that our company uses.  Bluevolt has been supportive and willing to assist on our requests and questions throughout the process.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

Nothing that is a strong dislike.  Only opportunity would be in the overall understanding of what it would take to get the platform up and running would be a clear understanding of the capabilities, offerings, and verbiage.  With this being our first venture into the LMS world, we were unaware of some of the terminology and our interpretation of the terminology was not quite accurate.  Bluevolt was able to speak with us and help clear things up for us so we could continue and make progress and achieve our goal.  The most challenging aspect was to get the ball rolling due to our inexperience in this venture.  Once we got a better understanding of everything it was a much smoother progression to content creation, navigation, and delivery to the end user.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The obvious problem it solves is we are not able to be everywhere at once! Our team is across the entire country and so our our retail partners.  It also solves the issue not having a web/virtual presence of training. This has benefitted our internal team  to provide training along with our retail partners!  It is an easy way to communicate and further engage internally and externally to maximize our message.

I love working with the staff of BlueVolt they are very professional and always willing to understand my needs as a customer.  The platform is very intuitive and easy to use, it has fit very nicely into our environment and allows us to easily show how training, sales and marketing can work hand in hand in today’s environment.  I would recommend BlueVolt LMS to anyone looking for a company that can compete with the larger companies but still give you the intimate care you need.

They not only listen to your concerns, but they find ways to support you and strategize growth.  In short, what we like best is that they are a true partner and not just one in name only.

The greatest opportunity for BlueVolt is automation.  As Universities grow, admins need to have the ability to set distribution rules.  I understand this is a feature set they are working on but it is sorely needed.  They are really investing in their people and training which will show dividends as time progresses and we have been blessed to be partnered with a CSM that has strong technical understanding of the platform.  It makes it possible for us to grow.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching customers without having to provide individualization for thousands.  Between the University sharing capabilities, Sharing Center, and Link, we are able to not only meet learners where they are (in BlueVolt or outside it) but report metrics back.  The ecosystem allows all external training to be managed by one person even with over 100,000 course enrollments across hundreds of companies.

I like a lot of things about BlueVolt best. How it lets me share my courses outside of our LMS as deployed Scorm is number one though.

Reporting is my least favorite feature, but having used more than 15 LMS's over 10 years I know this isnt exclusive to BlueVolt, its just the nature of the beast.

If you need to share courseware inside and outside of your organization BlueVolt is for you.  They are US based and their support is also US based, this aids in solving issues quickly. They are also receptive and willing to help their customers succeed!  I've been stuck dealing with the tiered foreign based support, or worse open source with no support.  BlueVolt isn't like other LMS's and you deserve to have a partner like them!!

My Business is manufacturing, we create and sell products across many channels and retail avenues. All of those have unique needs and BlueVolt allows me to deliver regardless. Specifically if my partner does or doe not have an LMS its not trouble, because learners can take courses inside our LMS or we can deploy it to theirs and still keep control and push updates.

**What do you like best about BlueVolt LMS?**

Our staff is gaining a level of training that we were not able to provide on our own.  It gives us a way to provide teaching to the staff AND a way to track and make sure its being done.  Bi-annual performance reviews can use this data to help decide wage increases and promotions.  This cuts the amount of resources we need to commit to training in half as now the learner doesn't need a trainer hanging over him or her.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

Vendor driven content needs more oversight.  Many courses have unrealistic completion times like 1-page PDF documents that have to remain open for 10-20 minutes to count as being completed.  To your credit, these things get fixed very quickly when brought to the attention of our project manager however maybe having a forced review for content at scheduled intervals by the vendor that created the content might help.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are still new on the platform, we just went live 2 weeks ago with our users.  I don't believe our full benefits have been realized yet.  As I mentioned in a previous question, however, I can already see how taking the training burden off of us and putting it on the shoulders of the user is probably the main benefit.  Where I would lose 2 people to training in the past (the trainer and the trainee) now just the learner needs to step away from daily duties at any given time.  Content is created by someone else so I don't have to exhaust resources on that.

This system can do a lot for you if you are based in the USA, but there are limitations if you are outside.
The administration is simple if you don't need to restrict your courses. If you have multiple clients that need to have different levels of access to different courses on your site then this solution is not for you.

There is some work to be done on the Admin side to make it easier to administer training in general, including making the reporting fit my company's needs and making the user searches a bit more robust in speed.

It is a very simple interface and the support is excellent.  They really do their best to get your content to the right people and channel partners.  As a manufacturer it is important that we use our LMS to get the field folks trained on our products and capabilities and BlueVolt allows us to do this seamlessly.  Additionally, they are always there to walk you through the platform should you need help, very easy company to do business with.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

Sometimes the setting up of a course is not as simple as one would like, but with a few times through it, it becomes intuitive.  I would caution though that before signing up you should have a good idea of what you want to train people on, as they start charging right away and it can take a little while to get your assets in order before you can begin to do a new course.

**Recommendations to others considering BlueVolt LMS:**

Make sure you have your training objectives clearly defined and know what audiences you are targeting.  It is also helpful to be open with them about the organizations you work with as they have huge reach to the distributor community and can help open doors for you as well.  Having a plan will help you get started quickly as they are not the cheapest solution but they have the largest reach of any LMS to the distributor space, nearly every distributor has a BV account which means that BV can inject your content into their learning centers.  This is a main reason to go with them.

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue this solves is getting our training materials in the hands of reps and distributor salespeople to better explain our benefits at the point of sale.  They are the de facto kings of content distribution used by nearly all of the largest distributors in our industry (almost any industry that uses distributors uses BV as their LMS solution), which makes them the perfect partner.  They have helped us get our information into the learning centers of some of our largest partners without us having to lift a finger or pick up a phone.

We were even recognized with a top industry award for the program and platform implementation.

As an administrator of one of the Universities, I find that the LMS is pretty easy to use and I have a lot of flexibility in using it.  I also know that I can get support for the LMS from the BlueVolt team that helps enhance the platform.

I would prefer that the new dashboard not be shared with us until the bugs are worked out because it's hard to use it when things are not always working properly.  It's somewhat frustrating to not have a feature work when it was just rolled out...

Connecting to my selling partners and getting them to sell more. The Knowledgebumps are great because they ping the user after the course and we have had great click through,  Our users are raving about it because we can hit them with the most important point and they tend to remember that.

The best feature of BlueVolt is the user tracking system, it allows you (manager) to create reports and quickly send out to other users for review.

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

Several issues when using BlueVolt, users constantly saying they can't access information.  Also uploading and creating any new material is very time consuming.

I no longer use Bluevolt.

our members work for electrical distribution companies. Our university IMARK University, powered by Blue Volt provides them with access to relevant information which  is available 24/7.  The information is provided in short, effective bursts and helps make our users better at their jobs and most valuable to their customers

**What do you dislike about BlueVolt LMS?**

I have no significant complaints.  The BlueVolt team is very responsive our HQ team as well as to the  needs of our users

**What problems is BlueVolt LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to  share knowledge on Blue Volt acts as a great complement to face-to-face selling which is expensive to deliver and very difficult to coordinate.  The opportunity to offer a platform which contains hundreds of relevant courses is seen as a tremendous value by our member employees.

The transparency of the Bluevolt connection between our learning management system and our customer's learning management system  has enabled our customers to easily access and track the training of their employees.

Right now?  Nothing.  There is no downside.

Bluevolt allows our customers to track their employees training in a detailed manner that we're not able to provide.

BlueVolt LMS is easy to use from a training and reporting standpoint.  The staff and team are very collaborative and deadline oriented.  I've used the BlueVolt system at three different companies and grown our training program significantly at each as a result.
