It allows you to plan your releases in a simple to read way which everyone can understand. It is invaluable for describing a new piece of work and its priorities to a team **What do you dislike about Avion?** The integration and sync with Azure Dev Ops could be smoother, but there isn't really much to dislike! **What problems is Avion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows us to user story board in a single place across the company to create consistency and good planning. ### 2. Literally, the book User Story Mapping by Jeff Patton. Many other apps allow you to create user story maps, but they're largely unstructured (e.g. Miro, Lucid) and very labor intensive. Additionally, I like the ability to integrate (or not) with Jira. My Avion use varies, but when I'm story mapping, I'll use it several times a day. Avion support is quick to respond (usually <12h) and thorough. They have an in-app chat bot that will route your request to a human when necessary. Additionally, they made it easy to submit feature requests (that they actually review). Implementation depends on your integrations. The Jira integration can be a little overwhelming for the uninitiated, but the docs are thorough and will guide you through it. **What do you dislike about Avion?** They recently released a new Roadmaps product that is promising, but by their own admission, still in Beta. I've not used it extensively, but it is promising. The one big thing lacking for me (that they've said they're likely going to add in the future) is a sort of backlog view or tool for idea sorting and ranking. **What problems is Avion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Avion is a tool for quickly creating and managing story maps. It allows me to quickly get my product ideas on paper (so to speak) and then allows me to add details when I'm ready. I can quickly create a backbone of several activities ("journeys" in Avion lingo) and steps and flesh out the main stories as details in a matter of minutes. Once your core story map is created (or perhaps during creation) you can easily start slicing your story map into releases. I often sync my story maps with Jira and have configured it such that releases in Avion are mapped to epics in Jira. It works well and is very straightfoward. ### 3. It's customer- and experience driven and enables product owners etc. to easily build a visual map of features required. It's an intuitive tool which is easy to use and no too tech-heavy. Write user stories and define roadmaps and releases to get a good overview of your product. Sync with Jira, DevOps and so on for easy collaboration with development teams. Setup and maintenance is very easy indeed with clear user roles. In addition to the tool itself, you cannot find a nicer team to work with than the guys at Avion. **What do you dislike about Avion?** The one complaint I've heard in our organization is that Avion appears "too simple" when you're coming from Jira or DevOps. This is really more of a strength, but the simple interface and ease-of-use makes some people think that Avion is too lightweight. **What problems is Avion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Avion helps users understand their product and maintain a strategic overview of coming releases. Avion also removes the "scary tech" element from DevOps and focuses on product and user needs/benefits instead. ### 4.
