"Avimark review"

What do you like best?

Its easy to work with and functionality fits well with my needs and requirements to make my job as efficient as possible.

What do you dislike?

As of this time, I have no issues with it. With what I need to accomplish in doing my tasks, it works extremely well.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It works great with schedule making and data collection. We use it to look up client and patient records and it allows up to accurately check their currant vaccinations records as well as what previous medical history was performed. It also accurately informs me on all medications and products that were previously supplied to the client.

"Wonderful Veterinary Software!"

What do you like best?

I worked with Avimark for 14 years at our vet clinic. We loved just about everything about it. They were constantly updating the program and making it better. They held annual conferences for the software, which helped us learn more about what it could do. They customer support line was great, very helpful!

What do you dislike?

Our only problems were that is was not cloud based and our data had to be held on a server. We updated our server due to our large database. Unfortunately we had a lot of slowness with the system as time went on. We are a very busy and progressive clinic, so these hindered us quite a bit. We ended up switching to a new cloud based software for these reasons. Although we like the speed and accessibility of our new system, we miss so so much about Avimark!

It was a great program for us. I personally miss its features and functionality a lot!!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This system was a huge asset in both in our hospital and boarding side. The inventory ordering was great as well. One of our favorite tools that helped us organize our systems facility wide was their Whiteboard feature. You could customize your whiteboard columns for your own needs and the way it integrated with the patient accounts was awesome. We used their inventory and ordering features and they were very user friendly.

"For the most part easy to use"

What do you like best?

I like the layout of the program, and how you can easily search up a treatment or inventory item

What do you dislike?

Some things are not as obvious to find. One thing that was frustrating was that the folder number of a client did not match the client ID that was given to them so it could make things confusing at times if someone used the wrong number in the paper file or for lab tests.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure that everyone understands properly how to use the program so that there are no discrepancies in the way things are added.

"Avimark"

What do you like best?

Can get into touch with the support team easily.

What do you dislike?

Crashes a lot, have to set up automatic email/txt/appointment request system separately. When clients make the Appointments, it does not let you block off any time. Sometimes the rapport send txt msgs multiple times and clients get upset. The medical record window comes with a lot of errors, and does not let you open the window very often even when you triple check that there are not other windows open in other computers.

After we have set up rapport, we can send out automatic reminders to the client. We don't have to manually contact them to confirm appointments.

"Good system"

What do you like best?

The system has many tools that can help you with everyday problems as well as features which help a lot of solutions.

What do you dislike?

The system is complicated to learn because there are many functions and keys to learning. when I first started in the animal care field this was the system I used and I hated it because it took me about 3 to 4 years just to remember what all the f keys did and how to take payment.

"Avi Mark "

What do you like best?

Love how user friendly this software is! Love that it is compatible with importing lab work from in house machines. Scheduling is very easy to read and work with. Patient files are organized and easy to read. Pricing is comparable to others in the market.

What do you dislike?

I do not have anything I didn’t like about AVImark. If I HAD to pick something, it may be that there isn’t an employee scheduling option. Would have been helpful to keep track of employee schedules all on one software.

I dislike how slow it can be when we are extremely busy. Also, it randomly crashes and slows us down.

The ease of sending messages to staff members. It is also simple to email records and receipts. I like that it is easy to enter various forms of payment to a client's account.

"Old and Outdated"

What do you like best?

It keeps track of a LOT of client records - it almost reminds me of a digital filing cabinet. It's nicely categorized and the calendar system was functional for us.

What do you dislike?

It's such an old and outdated system. It reminds me of the old Windows computers we had in the 90's. It can be very slow, not user friendly at all, and prone to crash.

It's an old and outdated system. Be wary if you're used to the newer, shinier programs.

It helped us manage our entire client database (thousands and thousands) for the past 10 years. It's a reliable, old piece of junk.

"Veterinary Technician"

What do you like best?

The ease of use and search features. Extremely user friendly, easy to make estimates, take payments, add charges. Medical condition can continue being added through hospital stay, keeping all employees on the same page with patient care

What do you dislike?

Linking to outside diagnostics, inventory has been incredible difficult to use and keep up automatically, a lot of manual checking still. Sometimes the vaccine history won't print out correctly, meaning we have to go in and manually update it.

Keeping our patient records and hospitalization organized. Continuous updating of patient records making flow of care streamlined and efficient.

"User friendly"

What do you like best?

Scheduling is very user friendly, keeping medical records is easy and helps with team based medicine. Everything you need to know about your patient is right there at your finger tips. Easy for one person to pick up where another left off and know exactly what is going on.

What do you dislike?

This program has so many short cuts and things that it is capable of that I feel like its hard to know if we are using to its full abilities and also makes training new people hard becasue there are so many different ways of doing the same task.

I love the "alerts" this helps us know when we have a patient or client that is difficult. This helps us to go into an appointment with a better understanding on how to approach the client or patient.

"Easy to use software, some improvement needed."

What do you like best?

This software was very easy to learn and use on a daily basis. Plus, there is live chat support available if we do have a hiccup and need help.

What do you dislike?

Inventory management is lacking serious capabilities. I don't think it is even tracking our sales correctly. There is alot left to be desired with the inventory.

"Can be a little temperamental but once you understand the software it is relatively easy to use. "

What do you like best?

Once you know what you’re doing it is pretty straightforward. It’s applicable practice to practice. Some things can vary but overall it’s a relatively easy software.

What do you dislike?

It can be slightly temperamental. If it glitches or you put something in wrong you will need manager override and if they aren’t there you are out of luck which sucks.

Benefits are you can put down deposits and clients can see their deposit and exactly what they are paying for.

"Avimark Review "

What do you like best?

Avimark is very easy to use in the veterinary field and has a lot of different options/features. Being able to see 1 client and multiple pets of that client at one time is helpful. Being able to search by first name is helpful in those times where the last name is hard to make out. Transferring transactions from one account to the other enables the client to pay for multiple accounts with one transaction. Setting up the schedule in the format that fits the clinics needs keep things moving smoothly and appointments viewable.

What do you dislike?

There are many features that would be nice to have in Avimark, including being able to set up an auto delete of inactive accounts after so many years, including all attachments. It would be great if there could be more than 1 boarding calendar (to separate cats and dogs). Being able to email more than 1 document at a time would be helpful.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Avimark is great and easy to use! It is very simple to learn and their customer service is unbeatable. Being able to use Avimark and implement it in our daily needs every day is very helpful and makes our jobs go so much smoother. Finding information on certain clients/patients is very quick and easy thanks to the different search options available.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have been able to implement discounts for clients, alter the schedule for our needs, print out records in a timely manner, attach previous records to an account, delete inactive accounts and change options for each client individually. We've been able to merge multiple accounts that were one person, integrate our credit card and care credit systems, learned how to attach received faxes to individual accounts, and how to rearrange the boarding kennel calendar to be more efficient.

"Avimark and You"

What do you like best?

Easy to move between screens.... Very user friendly

Records unfortunately are not always finalized. So changes can be made without showing date changes were made.

"Some flaws but otherwise a good experience"

What do you like best?

I like how it keeps the schedule clear and organized throughout the day. I also appreciate how employees can use AVImark to keep track of inventory and use it to locate items needed.

What do you dislike?

For our computers, it runs very slowly and usually takes several minutes to open and when it does, it lags a lot.

Keep it up to date! We've run into the most problems when the software needed updated.

"AVImark is smooth and easy to use!"

What do you like best?

I like how easy it is to make appointments for clients and to navigate from screen to screen. Clients can make appointments easily and get in and out quickly depending on their needs with AVImark's software.

What do you dislike?

I would like it if their were less pop ups when checking out a customer. It would be a faster experience for the customer if there weren't so many tabs to click out of when processing a payment.

It allows the business to run much faster and to holder a vast majority of clients. We're getting business done ten times faster than we would be using paper.

"confusing software"

What do you like best?

I don't really like anything. It's complicated to navigate, difficult to read previously entered notes. Problem list is not easily identifiable.

What do you dislike?

very difficult to write in a history, physical exam findings, diagnostic notes, and treatment plan. Typically paper records are needed to write all this in when using this software. The software seems to only be helpful with invoicing and reminders

"Really great software"

What do you like best?

Not much, it does its job. I have used it in many practices and they all like it

"Works better than even human health programs"

What do you like best?

Easy to learn. Self explanatory buttons/icons. Easily adjusted scheduling calendar.

What do you dislike?

Pushy sales people when it comes to upgrades. IDEXX lab integration sometimes fails.

If you use IDEXX laboratory it’s a no-brainer to use Avimark. Consider your lab when choosing charting software.

We use it for all scheduling and accounting. It is widely used in veterinary clinics in the area so there is little confusion when transferring records.

What do you like best?

Ease of use, customer service help line is always accessible, especially via chat and they are very responsive. Customizable options are decently detailed.

What do you dislike?

Occasionally the software can get bogged down, especially if you’re trying to do an audit while multiple people are also searching for something.

Currently in the process of going paperless, so the transition to electronic documents has been slow but not incredibly painful for a 7 Doctor practice.

"Effective and easy "

It is a user friendly software we use at our hospital.

It was difficult for our hospital to apply discounts to our rescues we work with.. however, with the help of a avimark rep we found a solution.

Once you learn the system it truly is a user friendly option. This is coming from someone who is NOT computer savvy, it’s easier to receive and send records, as well as attach lab reports/radiographs.

"Easy to use vpm program."

What do you like best?

"Use at work"

What do you like best?

Being user friendly. I went from a different practice management software to AVImark and fell in love. Easy to keep with up business documents and to help manage to business well.

What do you dislike?

I'm not to thrilled about the multiple windows. It opens to many then begins to hide so when you're trying to find the window I end up shutting down and restarting the software.

What do you like best?

I like the simplicity of the program. It is very straightforward and easy to use.

"Great software that will transform your business"

What do you like best?

This platform allows you to handle every part of your veterinary practice needs other than financials for payroll. Inventory, radiography, services, lab results and much more.

"Veterinary Software"

What do you like best?

It is very organized and user friendly. It’s great for people that enjoy colour coding and having your whole day planned in one page.

What do you dislike?

I dislike the use of the “clipboard” in order to “release” a patient. You have to open and close it and it’s not an obvious sign to show that a bill is complete.

"Full of features, but they can be hard to find!"

I like that you can use Avimark as little or as much as you want...from basic invoicing, to scheduling, to complete medical records.

What do you dislike?

The design of the software looks like it's from the early 00's. It is not user-friendly or intuitive.

I use the software for invoicing, prescription labeling, inventory management, pricing, tracking services sold, scheduling, timeclock/payroll, patient reminders, and possibly a few other services I'm leaving out.

"Slow, constant issues "

What do you like best?

It helps provide a way to keep track of medical records electronically.

There is always an issue with the program, whether it is an issue with updates or running slow than crashing.

Navigation is simple. Training is very easy for new employees. Everyone trained exact same way.

Easy to find tabs across the bottom with pertinent categories (lab, soap, etc)

What do you dislike?

The checkboxes to find the medical information are not intuitive. You have to know exactly where to put the info in the many line options or the record gets lost.

"Very little customization as compared to other programs"

What do you like best?

Price adjustements; all the different types of reports that can be created

What do you dislike?

Inflexibility with how the invoice looks (e.g. Order that services are charged); charging and posting services is confusing

"I use avimark for patient invoicing, purchasing, medical information, and account history."

What do you like best?

How everything regarding a clients care is all in one place.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the system malfunctions or operates very slowly which halts business and patient care.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Easy interface to use, however you cannot separate appointment by color based on type.

"Convenience"

What do you like best?

It's nice to have access to hospital information as well as boarding information all in one system.

What do you dislike?

It tends to run slow when multiple people are using it.

The use of multiple types of reports helps summarize the success and downfall of certain areas.

"Great Veterinary Software"

What do you like best?

This is a fairly easy veterinary management software program. I like that it "talks" to our IDEXX lab equipment.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes it is difficult to get the help screen to pop up.

I think you should make sure Avimark can transfer your current electronic files to this program before purchasing.

What do you like best?

I like the easy use. It makes charting and scheduling simple and easy.

Wish there was an easier way to correlate with faxes and other means of export
