Initial setup was extremely easy for us as it required very little changes to mail flow. We are leveraging Area1 in BCC mode, so all we had to do was configure our SEG to forward copies of external emails to an Area1 mailbox and we were set. There are additional features/capabilities from the portal that we are still working through (i.e. SSO for user logins) or that we have yet to explore (SIEM integration), but everything else was setup within an hour, which was great.
Also, Area 1 is pretty much set and forget for us, so it doesn't add a lot of overhead from an administration standpoint. The email analysis results are also within minutes which allows us to quickly take action on any delivered phishing emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've spent a couple months trying to setup Single Sign On (SSO) for user logins to the platform, and have still not figured it out. It's been a little frustrating.
While the platform is fairly intuitive and self explanatory, Area1 does not have much to offer documentation-wise. I have not seen an Admin Guide, SSO setup guide, or other than would be helpful to keep or share with colleagues as a reference.
It would also be great if we could specify which type of alerts each webhook is able to receive. For example, if we're only interested in Malicious email notifications, it would be great if we could set it to such rather than using a mailbox rule to filter all the notifications for us. It just works. Implementation is so straightforward. They don't try to do too much or overburden with lots of rule sets. Best of all, bad inbound mail is drastically reduced and suspicious mail is appropriately marked up and/or defanged.

Some false positives and some false negatives. This is inevitable in a phishing filter. If it were possible, I'd love to see metrics on false positives, false negatives, and a competitive benchmark. The best is simple. We are seeing less and less phish in our mailboxes. Support is really good at responding and updating their policies when new phish come out. Many times the emails will trigger signatures that don't clearly convey the threat. I've not seen a concise knowledge base or guide to what some of these signatures mean.
