Archiving can be manual or automated and offers the option of previews/proxies and metadata to build an Archive catalogue for a simple user restore. When archiving to LTO tape, the cloning feature creates two identical sets of tape to facilitate offsite storage. Parallelization of drives allows for maximum throughput. The add-on P5 Companion allows drag-and-drop archiving and retrieval. Stubs/link files remain in the original location for easy restore and provide previews and metadata on double-click. P5 Archive is part of the P5 Software platform consisting of four Modules: P5 Synchronize for data replication, P5 Backup for Server Backup, P5 Backup2Go for endpoint backup and P5 Archive for data migration. Archiware P5 runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, QNAP, Synology, FreeNAS/TrueNAS, NetGear and is compatible with virtually any storage hardware on the market, including all LTO tape drives and libraries. Manage media with an easy and powerful database tool. Software is future-proof and evolves with my hardware. I can move the database transparently even if I change to a different operating system. **What do you dislike about Archiware P5 Archive?** It has a room for improvement in terms of complex tasks. **What problems is Archiware P5 Archive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Desktop Edition is powerful but not perfect. The burden is on the user to remember how to access the system. Someone needs to review the Get Started User Guide from the point of view of a media creator who is NOT an IT professional and only uses the Desktop Edition from time to time, not daily. ### 2.
