## Applause Reviews
  ### 1. Real user experience feedback and Bug discovery across all countries and many platforms

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manuel L. | Digital Technology Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Real user feedback from local testers, can provide information that it's impossible to get from automation not only for real user experience but also cultural insight for UI/UX

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Would appreciate more flexibility on slots (multislot concept is an advance).
High price is preventing us from doing a most intensive use of the service.
We are working with Excel Spread sheets as platform requires big effort to be kept up to date.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

GReat Value for UX feedback coming from real users with local culture across all regions.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Localized UX Feedback, Localized BUG discovery.
Test how specific cahnges impacts in different regions.
Organize UX feedback cycles to identify the most common UX issues in different countries based on feedback from local testers with local culture and UX expectations.

  ### 2. A Game Changer for Software testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Applause give you the flexibility to test in ways that were previously impossible. You can leverage people from around the world to get feedback your products. In addition to guided exploratory testing, you can have testers build and/or execute specific test scenarios. This is excellent for when you have not automated your testing yet but need a way to get fast feedback on your regression testing. Using Applause has changed the way our development teams look at application quality.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

The platform you use to manage the process could use more polish. The system you use to communicate with the testers desperately needs a mobile app.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Applause for very different problems to solve, but they all center around a central theme. I needed a force multiplier that could scale as needed. Applause quickly filled this need. I have used Applause for both front of house and back of house systems with positive results. The back of house system can be extremely complex, and I was doubtful as to whether or not the testing would be useful. Applause partnered with us for a good training program to get the testers up to speed. Within just a few days we received valuable feedback.

  ### 3. Ensure no regression in your company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxime D. | Responsable QA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

I like the disponibility of each persons in the company always available to answer your questions.
I like the fact that Applause's technical employee understand clearly and fastly what are our needs in terms of contraint and tests. The roadmap fixed is followed, there is no delays and much better people gave you insights to help you getting your product more secure.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Applause is well integrated with their own tools, maybe they should work on implementing ability to plug their tools with the one used in the company. Otherwise nothing bad to say about Applause

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Don't hesitate to talk about your needs of tests they will find the best way to help you.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It ensure non regression of our product. Actually they can automated faster and clearer our non regression tests. They also provide tools and uses cases. It's like having more QA in our company without having to hire en form 10 people.

  ### 4. Increasing quality through a great service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro C. | Head of Digital Delivery Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

The ability to run tests on weekends, while my development team is not working and having fresh results by Monday.
The fact that the crowd brings a lot of devices that would takes us a lot of investment to have
The quality of the testers. Applause brings me true tests and valuable insights on my products. The reported bugs are not simple UI glitches. I can really take advantage of the submitted issues

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

The integration with my JIRA is still not there. We would benefit if it would be a bit more robust.
The portal with which we manage issues with Applause is good, but it lakes a a bit of a better UI

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're testing a bunch of products with Applause. All web based. The benefits I'm having is that we're more confident when launching new products or changes in a product.
We got to the point of having 0 bugs reported when going through Applause first. And that was on our first cycle.
Completely amazing!

  ### 5. Great Experience in simple way

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Applause?**

It' s very easy to interact with Applause Platform and team; the possibility to have cycles of test anytime and for each release or sprint is a very plus for our team.
Great accurancy in cycle and details management and very good support and flexibility to manage the particular case. The details for each TC or issue help us to understand easily the problem and it's a very pleasure to collaborate with smart people committed to the final result.
Clear and easy the possibility to link the Platform with our internal BTS and the dashboard for issues/TC.
Very good support for Platform use.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

The management of different cycles is separated for products (iOS, Android and so on); when I want to test a same version on different products, there isn't the possibility to check automatically duplicated issues or to have a common dashboard.
It's just a detail in a very good Platform.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We also needed feedback on the UX / UI of our products and the ability to interact with different people was an advantage for us (very detailed review by the testers).
With the help of the Applause team we have come out over time and with an excellent quality standard and we have certainly been able to control regression closing our internal automation project with the possibility of focusing on many details.

  ### 6. Quality, Commitment and Honesty

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Quality of defects and the coverage are the best thing and we get the cycle report in one of the most descriptive and accurate way which helps us to take right decesion.
Always pragmatic about the testing and we got some good quality testers all the time to run the cycle

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Nothing I can think of now. Applause is doing great. Keep the good work going

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Best in the market, we can trust blindly .. Quality is the thing that applause brings in

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Device coverage, OS coverage, crowd testing and as well as UAT testing

  ### 7. Useful but needs a better UI.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Remi H. | QA Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Applause is very responsive to our requests, they have been able to set up campaigns on a short notice and have them on multiple countries for our products.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Programming a test campaign is cumbersome, the UI of the portal could be improved significantly.
It is not very clear how many resources will be allocated to the testing campaign and they are not always able to cover edge cases such as specific devices/OS versions.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Take time preparing your testing campaigns. Applause is very responsive, but they should be able to provide a better service if you do not work on last minutes request. They do not fully replace a QA department but they can offer you extra manpower when you want to polish your product and need to cover as much devices/OS/behaviors as possible.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applause allows us to test our products on a larger panel of devices than what we are able to provide with our current workforce. They have allowed us to do testing campaigns on

  ### 8. Our partner for inernational qualitative user research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Applause allows us to conduct qualitative user research in different markets across the world. Their panel of international users helped us to uncover important insights in our core markets Germany, Italy, UK, Spain and Romania. We especially value the expertise of their seasoned UX professionals, who are always open to discuss and iterate on the research processes.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

There's not much to dislike. The only thing I can think of is that it would be awesome if they offered moderated user testing in addition to unmoderated. Their delivery times are quite quick and I can't comment much on the pricing. It's definitely worth it for us, but maybe too expensive for smaller companies?

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Try it out for yourself!

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As the UX team in my organization we are responsible for uncovering deep user needs and insights across our products. Sadly we're struggling with language barriers in a lot of our markets. This makes it very difficult to conduct user research ourselves. Applause helps us to bridge this gap when we can't simply conduct user research with our users by ourselves.

  ### 9. Excellent Productivity Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan H. | Digital Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Applause has streamlined our workflow for releases, by enabling us to reduce our quality assurance testing by around 40%. The most valuable aspect of the service is a clear and precise communication of issues found and direct contact with the project team to help resolve points raised.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Nothing to dislike - this has set the standard for our delivery process.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're reducing testing time and providing ourselves with more thorough field testing, which is enabled by having a broad demographic of testers in multiple environments. It's also enabled us to have improved insights on user experience before the product has reached the end user.

  ### 10. A refreshing encounter

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Youssef R. | Consultant AMOA, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

The professionalism of the team, the variation of testers and their availability. And the flexibility of the team.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Limited filters on the platform which doesn't help when you need to filter by country

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of countries to test in a short period, so we need to be able to be everywhere at once.
Moreover thanks to the testers expertise and Applause's they help us anticipate future issues and give us a fresh feedback. Which goes with our user driven experience objective.

  ### 11. Great Service, custom care. Really good bug reports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Good standardized but customizable bugreports.
(at least a screenshot and clear steps to reproduce, but also often videos when needed).
And i have the feeling that applause test-runs rarely miss any bugs.
A wide array of devices for testing is available.
Bug verification is fast, and very solid solid.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

The bugreporting platform is functional, but definetly could use a more userfriendly redesign.
Sometimes i have the feeling that very similar bugs could be easily bundled into one bug.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Takes some time to get into it, but then is of great value.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to applause, we do not need to build a huge base of devices to test our application.
Especially our mobile testing wouldn't be feasible at the same cost if we did it inhouse.

First and foremost, we can guarantee to release only propperly tested increments without building up inhouse Qa structures.

With the standardized test-cases we can see, that new releases don't harm existing functionality (regression testing).

  ### 12. Not a bad service

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Targeted areas which can be highlighted for testing. Useful when featuring releasing work into a specific area.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Unable to use them for the general release testing. Paid when issues are found so does not generally work when using for regression testing releases to multiple environments.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling up the test team when required. Able to increase the size of the test team to better benefit the whole team.

  ### 13. Applause is a great addition to our team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Applause does a great job finding talented crowdsourced testers that supplement our in-house expertise and give us a breadth of coverage not previously possible.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

While Applause does do a great job with exploratory testing, it's harder to ensure coverage against specific requirements or test cases.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applause has allowed us to keep an extremely lean Dev-to-QA ratio, cover a wide variety of devices and ensure round the clock availability of testing resources

  ### 14. Increase the speed for your development process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Applause?**

The chance to realize short dev/test cycle to maximize the efficiency of your dev team.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

The product fit each requirements of our development team

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I could deploy more fast

  ### 15. Found some interesting bugs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

found things we probably would have missed including one major one.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

too many people testing to break it instead of acting as a normal user for the bounties

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

additional test resource of which we were very short on. Applause helped us test on a multitude of devices across a broad spectrum of different user types for which we were understaffed to do ourselves.

  ### 16. Very good collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** amandine V. | Chef de projet digital, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

speed
efficiency
constructive feedback
dedicated and attentive project manager

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

I have no negative points to report, the collaboration went perfectly well.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time saving in the recipe, allowing us to focus on other projects

  ### 17. Applause x Frichti

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arsène H. | Lead mobile developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

I like the qualify of their bug reports. We can easily debug and find the differents problems.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Take some time to discuss with them when we have no QA

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing android device easily.
Release very stable

  ### 18. Great experience to work with manual and automation teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilgam A. | QA Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Flexibility, dedicated manager, resources around the globe.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

There is definitely something to improve but overall process is good and stable.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We set up full automation framework with Applause from scratch.

  ### 19. Excellent service and communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Excellent communication and willingness to meet our expectations for a fast turnaround.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

I can't think of anything other than the fish sandwiches.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to reduce the amount of time it takes to release features and bug fixes. In my experience, applause provides a good way to run through regressions and identify blind spots in a quick 24 hour period.

  ### 20. How I personally feel about Applause

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

The efficiency and responsiveness is really impressive. Every person working at Applause is very nice and mannerable. Sales personel is not too pushy and only recommends things or products that we can actually use at my company.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Notthing at all. I can't think of a time when Applause ever let us down. They all come through and diliver

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

N/A

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing across many different platforms/environments that really helps us when we need to do some course testing during regression testing

  ### 21. Accessibility Testing is Applause Strength

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Accessibility testing is a tedious process. Applause has accessibility experts who can reliably test our applications.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Is there automated way for accessibility testing for screen readers? maybe in the future, there should be some grammar checking by computers of some sort?

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessibility Testing

  ### 22. Applasue is a good service at a premium price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jim p. | Freelance Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2016

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Testing a mobile or web application can be difficult with all the operating systems types and versions, screen resolutions and other factors that vary between devices. Testing in-house for a small company is challenging and Applause comes to solve this problem.
They offer 'in the wild' testing, so your app is being tested on a variety of devices (and locations if needed) which makes the testing process as close as possible to real world usage.
Applause provides a good coverage of OSs and devices for testing, so it saves you from having to buy many devices for testing your app.
some of the main benefits are:
- You control the tests and can connect with Applause testers at any time.
- You are kept up to date regarding the status of the tests.
- It has a very intuitive user interface.
- If you need multilingual test, they provide testers in many locations that can test in their native language.
- Applause integrates with most of the popular bug tracking systems.
- The testers can attach a screenshot or video clip to the bug report.
- They offer good customer support.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Having testers who are not familiar with your app can add time to the testing process and may add test cycles.
Testers' skill leve can vary and so is their ability to dig deeper in the app to find more low level issues, so it takes a more detailed testing plan and test cases prepared by the developer.
Can take some time until you learn to use the service effectively and actually save on testing time.
The Applause service is expensive (but you do save on buying devices for testing).

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Plan your testing in details before trying to implement Applause in your QA.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Small and medium companies can improve their product and reduce the total testing time after finding the right way for them to utilize this testing platfotm.

  ### 23. I am satisfied with Applause

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alberto C. | Desarrollador de software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Applause?**

A better and different workflow, it has a great coverage of the product, it helps you with initial bug triage.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

I think the service is quite expensive to start with.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Applause in the quality engineering department for functional in-the-wild testing and localization testing.

  ### 24. Excellent Resource

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett R. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Applause gives you real-world results with testing on real devices that aren't as pristine as normal QA lab devices. A huge advantage is that you getting feedback from people who would normally be your customers on their devices, including some whacky stuff that would only happen under real world conditions. Better to know now, than after release!

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

The only drawback is sometimes, depending on what testers accept your test cycle, feedback can be inconsistent on quality (although you can run many test cycles and have different users for each one).

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

If you are skeptical and can work it out, at least do a trial application or two - you will see the benefit!

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a relatively small developer but with a huge customer base, Applause allowed us to increase the quality of our app by expanding the number of users and the numbers of devices that were used for QA purposes. We had a ton of users, but with only a few dedicated QA people, we needed to branch out and make sure what we were seeing in the lab (or not seeing in the lab) was what the customers were seeing worldwide.

  ### 25. Great product for those with time poor QA cycles, for fast feedback and much more.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob H. | Senior Test Manager, Retail, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

It is a great product with a range of different types of testing available from functional through to specialist security testing. While we are only just starting our journey with the product it has proved it's worth finding some vital bugs which would have impacted our App's on launch. It is great for quick review cycles at short notice, to supplement our QA teams with additional breadth and coverage. You can go home of a evening and come back the next day to a QA cycle having been run.

We haven't yet used the other products from Applause including their tracking software although we plan to use this in the coming months.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Getting consistency and a repeat user base. That is our next step to build a regular team, almost like having our own QA department. There is nothing really to dislike as it is what you make of the service.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Trial the service, do a test and learn and then develop the strategy and how you will use the product. You need some specific goals you are trying to address such as device coverage.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to solve having limited time for QA but with the coming together of our products in to a omni-channel experience we have to test more but within the same timescales. Using Applause gives us flexibility to test a greater range of devices, cover more systems and provide in the wild experiences of our App's and website. Just doing the things that customers do but before we go live. The exploratory nature and motivation of the testers, plus the support of the Applause QA leads is now becoming a cornerstone of our Testing Strategy.

  ### 26. A solution to mobile diversity and fragmentation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel K. | Project Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Launching a mobile app in today's landscape presents a challenging problem: There are so many platforms, devices, and OS permutations that running these comprehensively in-house is an exhaustive and expensive approach. Applause solves this testing problem with their 'In-The-Wild' service; by having a large managed resource of global testers that can effectively simulate real-world testing. It's as close to the real-world happy path as you can get.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Though Applause effectively manages their testers, there can be a gap at times between lining up the testers and getting the results you want. It's a fine balance between fresh eyes gleaning new or glossed over bugs but running the risk of being product ignorant vs. returning testers generating more in-depth issues and risking test exhaustion and jaded perspectives. Direction is key to getting the testers to generate the results you want, most importantly maintaining a close relationship with your Applause Project Manager to ensure the test-team is managed appropriately.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobile apps today require fast and frequent updates. Running exhaustive test suites is time consuming and limited to the prescribed tests defined plus the platforms/devices/os on-hand. Opening up and augmenting this classic regression test approach with Applause's 'In-The-Wild' service significantly reduces the risk of the product failing on launch.

  ### 27. Applause is Great for Scaling QA!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly S. | Manager of Quality Assurance, Online Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

The PM was very responsive and helpful when setting up the test cycles and made it very easy to get a test up and running with very little notice. Also, since testers are from around the world and typically do this on a part time basis, it was easy to get overnight and weekend cycles running.

The bug management tool was also easy to use and you could leave messages for testers if you had questions about the bugs they opened.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

I feel there are some drawbacks to the pay-per-bug compensation structure for testers. Although there were certainly critical bugs that were uncovered, a lot of the bugs seemed extraneous and it was tedious sifting through them all. I feel like I spent a lot of time going through bugs to determine which ones were out of scope or reproducible, even though the test lead had done some of the work for me. Also, when we had subsequent test cycles to re-test a build with fixes in it, tester engagement dropped off pretty quickly.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to be able to ramp up QA resources on demand and ramp them down when we finished projects. Applause offers a great alternative to staffing in-house, especially when you need to cover a lot of different aspects with your testing.

  ### 28. Great Approach for designing Apps with an textual DSL.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Very great DSL for modeling Apps without further knolage on Coding Apps. Could be used to separe Coding Apps in a developer team and Buisiness Users.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Applause is like a proof-of-concept. It is not a full app. For production use, you need to implement most features of the DSL on your own.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

You should not see Apllause as an ready product.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to implement a DSL for Business Users, so they could code their Apps.

  ### 29. Going to places and testing with devices that we could not!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd M. | Principal Quality Assurance Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Applause has given us the ability to test our products in Countries where we *hoped* everything would work well with our applications. We had some issues with customers creating accounts in Columbia. We could not replicate the problem in the U.S. Within a matter of days, Applause was able to put a team together there that found the root cause of the issue and we were soon able to drive to a resolution.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Occasionally, the testers are not up to par. This is exception, not the standard.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Applause has been tremendously impactful on helping us to deliver high quality applications. Having access to over 100,000 professional testers in the markets that you choose is a huge benefit in ensuring quality releases.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enhancing our test coverage by leveraging the services that Applause offers, gives our company a much more secure feeling about the overall quality of our applications.

  ### 30. Applause gives me peace of mind

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian G. | QA Manager & Technical Lead, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

I really like how flexible Applause has been. They truly have worked with our company to customize the way they serve us. I truly believe that they want our company to succeed and our experience to be as positive as possible. This kind of customer loyalty has really helped me to feel like they are a part of my QA team.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Currently I don't have any issues or items I dislike. At one point I asked them to make me team to test during the night and they did that. Later I realized that it wasn't working well. That I wanted to communicate with the Applause team. So Applause got me a new team that works with me during the day. I'm very happy with their willingness to adapt.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

I recommend a mix of exploratory testing and hourly testing buckets.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have 25 developers and 2 onsite QA engineers. Without the support of Applause we would not be able to succeed in QA. They solve our issues on a weekly basis by helping us test every tuesday. That frees up the developers to develop instead of helping us test. It also allows us to hone in on the larger issues found rather then to get caught up in the small details. Also, when big changes are sprung upon us the exploratory testing cycles are so valuable.

  ### 31. We wouldn't release an App without testing with Applause

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anne-Marie D. | QA Lead, Transportation/Trucking/Railroad, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Their flexibility - and the manner in which they ensure each test cycle is productive and successful.
They react to, and resolve any issues with efficiency and speed.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

If I had to puck something i would say their platform it's a bit clunky.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Think of Applause as an extension of your inhouse test team - work closely with your project managers and Test Team leaders and listen to their advice and guidance. Communicate your expectations for each test cycle in advance - they will work with you on achieving the results you want.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi device test coverage and in the wild testing. Applause testers have found issues we wouldn't/couldn't have found.

  ### 32. Applause Rocks!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth L. | Director Of Marketing Partnerships and Programs, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Applause has an amazing team supporting our testing efforts. The PM, TL and staff have been wonderful and supportive every single one of our cycles.

The platform has dramatically improved and become a clear place for testing to happen.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

My major complaints were around the dashboard interface - but those recently have improved.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

In the wild testing can be very useful when testers understand intended use - so tell the story of the app use for better feedback.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time spent testing. Our most limited resource as a startup is time. Our team can work on fixing problems as opposed to finding them.

  ### 33. Great Service !

Sometimes the UI little slow but the team are working hard to improve that.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Sure, Give it a try.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quality Assurance. We have a team of Android\IOS developers and basically not so many QA's and using the site we are able to run our tests, receive and fix bugs and much more even with no QA people.

Integration with JIRA does not work if you are using single sign on.

Sometimes the results take time to sort through. The PC dashboard could be a little more streamlined.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

Spend time deciding what you want the focus of each cycle to be.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I said in the first box, Applause has helped us with out Mobile app to ensure that it works as expected, and will work on a number of devices. Applause has also gone above and beyond by helping us Analyze our reviews.

  ### 37. Great product, would use if we had a smaller team and needed the extra bandwidth

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2015

**What do you like best about Applause?**

Ease of use and the ability to find multiple issues faster. Everyone works differently so it's nice to find people from all over the world that find different bugs and issues that we would normally not look for.

**What do you dislike about Applause?**

Some times the users are out to receive as much cash as possible so they report items that aren't bugs and then vehemently fight you to approve their issue. This is somewhat rare.

**Recommendations to others considering Applause:**

great product if you need a lot of bug testing and fast.

**What problems is Applause solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quality Assurance work. This has helped use find more issues than we could find in house in a shorter time frame.
