"Smart and productive IDE to speed up your work."

What do you like best?

It provides a very solid revision structure with the codes, it is incredible the constant revision and report that this IDE does for your code, with the mistake it would be just an oversight, the margin of errors is minimized and it has excellent shortcuts for your codes, it also has a very comfortable appearance with which you can work, is really effective.

What do you dislike?

it is not compatible with a computer with a window operating system, it is only compatible with OS X and macOS, so the development with this IDE depends on the computer, often the tests can only be executed individually and are slowed down in the process.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Is an IDE par excellence since it has all the layers that any powerful IDE can have, besides it does not consume many resources like many.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Its easy implementation and simple personalized configuration allows us a better workflow, it gives us a better dynamic in terms of the development of each element and project, but this IDE offers us a better advantage in the field of error and cooperative work within the same environment of the project..

"In the JetBrains eco system? Best Xcode replacement."

What do you like best?

As a hardcore JetBrains user, I have come to fancy their IDEs, and AppCode is no exception to that list. It is a great Xcode replacement for building iOS applications in Swift, while having all the key mappings and short cut keys that I am used to on developing for WebStorm. The plugins that are available are easier to manage than in xcode

What do you dislike?

For understandable reasons, it is only available on OS X / macOS, but would be great if a simulated / emulated experience can be had for Windows and Linux machines. Even an option to allow Swift code to be written and checked for syntax error and not compiled would be a great compromise.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Download the trial, good for 30 days.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ease of use of a suite of software that developers are familiar with. While Xcode is free*, an additional license for writing software may be steep and/or unnecessary. However, developers that dwell in multiple projects, in multiple languages and platforms, context switching is crucial, so saving time is huge business problem solved in this case.

"The best replacement of Xcode!"

What do you like best?

- Controls and design is identical to all JetBrains products which means any switcher from other languages can use the IDE

- Extended debug mode which you won't find even in Xcode!

- Flexibility in set up of the appearance and hot keys

- Constant maintenance from JetBrains team

- Simulators and real devices support

- Swift and ObjectiveC support

What do you dislike?

One feature I don't like as a SDET, that's unavailability to run one separate test in test class. You can run only whole class. But that' the minor issue and hopefully JetBrains will fix it in the future.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I think that's the great IDE for switchers from other languages. You can program, design or test using AppCode.

"iOS IDE that needed for programmer"

What do you like best?

AppCode is a great alternative that made by JetBrains for Mac. This editor itself is super-customizable, and you can easily customize the font, color and code style. Also the auto-completion feature make my job easier. AppCode even shows me for the unused class or function that really useful for me.

What do you dislike?

While I use this apps, I face some issues for example, when I maximizing the program to full-screen, it would lock up my OSX so I can't access Launchpad, Menu bar, or Mission Controls. Also, when scrolling, the screen sometimes flashy and it was annoyingly obstrusive. And I use this apps only after the free trial ended. I still considered to buy this apps for USD 90

Recommendations to others considering the product:

if you develop IDE and iOS development, you must consider AppCode for the auto complete, and this apps is smart enough to detect the init method that you're invoking

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The auto complete is perfect, and the warning that I don't use class or function that I already declared it so it will make my coding clean and effective.
