  ### 1. Amplitude Analytics Makes Behavioral Insights and Funnel Analysis Fast and Actionable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Describe the project or task Amplitude Analytics helped with:**

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

As a Product Analytics II at Earnest, I use Amplitude Analytics to understand how users interact with our digital products and to uncover opportunities to improve the customer experience. I primarily use it to analyze user behavior, explore conversion funnels, monitor key product metrics, and identify where users may be dropping off or experiencing friction.

Amplitude is especially useful for answering product questions quickly, validating hypotheses with behavioral data, and helping product teams make more informed decisions. I also use it to segment users, compare behavior across different groups, and understand how changes to the product impact engagement and conversion over time.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

One area that could be improved is the learning curve for some of Amplitude’s more advanced features. While the core analytics experience is fairly intuitive, building more complex analyses or understanding exactly how certain metrics and events are defined can sometimes require additional context or documentation.

I’ve also found that as analyses become more complex, the interface can feel a bit crowded, and it isn’t always immediately obvious which approach or visualization is best for answering a particular question. More contextual guidance and clearer explanations within the product would make it easier to move from a business question to the right analysis, especially for less frequent users.

Overall, these are relatively minor friction points rather than major limitations, but improving discoverability and guidance around advanced functionality would make the experience even better.

**Recommendations to others considering Amplitude Analytics:**

N/A

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude helps solve the challenge of turning large amounts of behavioral data into insights that product teams can actually act on. It allows us to understand how users move through key journeys, where they encounter friction or drop off, and how different segments engage with the product.

For me as a product analyst, the biggest benefit is being able to answer many product questions quickly without needing to build a new analysis from scratch every time. It makes it easier to explore hypotheses, identify trends, measure the impact of product changes, and communicate findings with stakeholders through clear visualizations.

Ultimately, it helps reduce the time between identifying a product question and getting to a data-informed answer, which supports faster and more confident decision-making.

  ### 2. AI Feature Revolutionizes Chart Creation

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really find the AI addition in Amplitude Analytics to be a game changer. It saves me a lot of time and effort because now I don't need to understand the Amplitude dashboard in depth. I can just ask AI to find the data and create a chart for me, which is incredibly convenient. I also appreciate the timeline feature for debugging and user cohorts for production data. These features help me make important technical decisions, like determining how many users are on a specific OS version and whether it's safe to increase the minimum supported version. The tool also eases the creation of charts, enhancing my overall experience.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think the events in the user timeline are not in the correct chronological order, which they should be, and it creates confusion. This is a major issue I face as it creates doubt while debugging and requires extra effort to verify. Also, there's a learning curve that takes a few days to understand all the things, but after that, it's mostly a smooth ride.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to make technical decisions by analyzing user data, like OS versions. The AI feature saves time in finding data and creating charts without needing dashboard expertise.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Hi Farheen, Good to hear the AI charts are saving you from learning every corner of the dashboard first. Timeline ordering is worth getting to the bottom of, because debugging is only as good as your confidence in the sequence. For the User Activity / individual event stream, the expected behavior is session-based ordering. Within each session, events are expected to be sorted by event time, and sessions themselves are sorted based on the first event in the session. So some “out of chronological order” appearances can be expected if you’re comparing across session blocks, but if you’re seeing events inside a session rendering out of order that is not the intended model. I suggest sending an example through support.amplitude.com and the team can look at exactly what you're seeing.

  ### 3. Using Amplitude Dashboards, Filters, and AI

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I'm relatively new to Amplitude, but I've already found it to be a genuinely powerful tool for our team. We've been using it to build dashboards and reports to track user engagement across both our ecommerce platform and our CMS — and getting both set up was far more straightforward than I expected.

What stands out most is how comprehensively it tracks interactions. Every click, session, and funnel step surfaces cleanly, and I haven't hit a wall when trying to drill into something specific. The filtering capabilities have been a real highlight — being able to filter results using properties from our Salesforce integration (like Salesforce account names and instance data) means our engagement reporting is actually tied to our real customer context.

Also, I love the AI assistant. It is just so easy to share your thoughts of what we want to build, and it just does for us. A little tweak here and there but the groundwork is done by the AI, which is a time saver

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The breadth of features can feel overwhelming at first. As a new user, discovering where everything lives takes time, and a more guided onboarding or contextual tips within the dashboard builder would help speed up that initial ramp.

At our company, we had our own simple learning paths/materials that helped. The ones on Amplitude University felt a little overwhelming.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us a lot in tracking our marketing campaign performance across digital platforms and the CMS website. We are getting exactly what our target audience is consuming and how we push them down the marketing funnel.

What is in the process right now - Using Claude - Amplitude connector to further analyse our campaign data and generate insights that can be used in enhancing our campaigns.

  ### 4. Amplitude Helped Me Think Like a PM With Measurable, Structured Events

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stratulat R. | software engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I’m a software engineer, not a PM - but Amplitude helped me think like one on a recent project. Structured events turned “is anyone using this?” into something I could measure. I stopped guessing what to fix or improve next and started deciding based on usage and failure patterns. That’s what I like best: it bridges engineering and product without a separate analytics stack.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

It takes real event hygiene to get value - messy tracking becomes messy charts. The UI is powerful but can feel oriented toward PMs, not engineers doing one-off debugging. Pricing and limits can bite once volume grows. Worth it, but not zero maintenance.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It turns behavior into structured events you can explore without custom dashboards or waiting on analysts. On my project, I could see adoption, drop-offs, and error patterns in one place and answer product-style questions (“Is this used?” “What’s breaking?” “What should we prioritize?”) with data.

  ### 5. Amplitude Makes Funnel & Segmentation Analysis Easy with a Clean UI and Helpful AI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude is an extremely helpful product analytics team that any product or data-driven team member can benefit from. My team uses pretty much the entire amplitude product suite. Its incredibly easy to get started through both their documentation and AI agentic capabilities. Building funnel / segmentation analysis through Amplitude is easy to setup. The UI is clean, and easy to get going with. Recently they've introduced their AI capabilities which has been useful to understand certain dashboards / parts of our funnel, and also to build out net-new funnel. Its very easy to setup integrations through the platform, we currently have our data sending in from Rudderstack.

I'd highly recommend Amplitude over most other product analytics tools in the market today.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Overall not much. The agentic capabilities are pretty new so at times there are performance issues with that functionality, and times where it may edit certain dashboards and undoing changes through the platform can be difficult.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My teams use Amplitude to unlock realtime user analytics. I work on growth, and Amplitude is probably my #1 used tool today; it makes it very easy to quickly understand how certain experiments are performing. Using their Agentic capabilities helps me to easily pull the right sets of data and present it in a meaningful way.

  ### 6. Self-serve analytics that lets PMs move fast without engineering

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohamed H. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

The event-based model is the biggest win. As a PM I can build funnels, retention charts, and user segmentation myself without waiting on engineering, which massively speeds up how fast we can answer product questions. The identify() call with derived user properties lets me slice users by tier and behavior cleanly, and session replay has been genuinely useful for spotting exactly where users drop off in a flow. Dashboards are also easy to share with stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Governance is the weak spot. Running events across more than one app exposed how much manual discipline the tracking plan needs to stay clean, and the tooling for enforcing naming conventions across teams could be stronger. Query performance on long lookback windows can drag, and some of the more advanced chart configurations have a real learning curve, so non-analysts on the team struggle to build their own reports without help.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gave us real KPI baselines we never had before, things like deposit-to-invest conversion, weekday active users, and error categorization, so decisions stop being guesswork. My approach now is to instrument first and then move the number, and Amplitude is what makes that possible. It's central to how we prioritize the roadmap and how we check whether features we ship actually get used instead of just assuming they do. Having self-serve access to that data means product questions get answered in minutes rather than waiting days on an engineering pull.

  ### 7. Mobile user actions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sreenivasan p. | Quality Assurance Engineer, Hospital & Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Source: Seller invite:** Invitation from a seller or affiliate. This reviewer was offered a nominal incentive as thanks for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to review user logs, which helps me debug issues because it records every action in the backend. It’s straightforward to troubleshoot since I can quickly see where a user might be getting stuck by looking through Amplitude’s logs. The UI is clean and simple, and I can generate graphs based on events when I need to. I also like how Amplitude clearly separates events and properties, which makes it easier for me to identify and resolve problems. For example, I can click on an event name and immediately see properties like title, CTA, date, and time, which keeps everything clear. We also integrate Amplitude Analytics with our automation framework, and that setup works very nicely. It did take some time at first to understand how everything fits together, but now it feels very simple to use, especially compared to Elastic Search.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I find that Amplitude Analytics takes too long (30 to 60 seconds) to get logs after clicking on the CTA. I wish the logs could be obtained immediately or within 10 seconds.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to log user actions and debug issues more easily. It’s especially helpful when users get stuck, because I can review their actions in the backend and understand what happened.

  ### 8. Experimenting with confidence

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

As a designer, Amplitude is a crucial tool for me to keep track of how our recent experiments are performing and to monitor the UX baselines of our product experience. The LLM features are very good, and the agents can build out a dashboard in no time based on the prompt.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

One first go it can seem a little complex for designers but after sometime, it really becomes a crucial tool for day to day.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude lets me track the performance of recent releases and experiments. It makes our design process more data-aware and helps us make decisions with confidence. Because it’s easy to set up and intuitive to navigate, the designers on our team really enjoy using it. The AI capability has been a game changer lately, especially because it makes the tool more accessible for people who aren’t acquainted with data analytics.

**Official Response from Tamara Kecman:**

> Hi Bharat! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We’re so glad to hear that Amplitude is making a big difference in your design processes by staying data aware. We appreciate your note on the initial learning curve; we’re always looking for ways to make Amplitude even more approachable. Thanks again for the wonderful feedback!

  ### 9. A complete Analytics ecosystem developed with a agile and fast iteration in mind

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Unlike other analytics frameworks, Amplitude is data-centric, not project-centric. Amplitude gives complete control to users to create custom charts with custom data. Amplitude is easy to integrate into android, web, Unity without much hassle. Amplitude has a user-lookup feature where users can test live data without much delay. The strong feature about amplitude is flexible data filtering. Consider a scenario where a project needs to analytics player who has restarted the level with a certain number of coins and XP. Users can easily create charts to analyze the data in real-time. Amplitude gives users full ownership of the data and a wide range of tools to give meaningful relationships amongst them. Amplitude does have a free plan that has a promising number of features for a startup product analytics. Amplitude project is fully open source, so If there is an issue with the library itself developers will try to resolve it.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude premium pricing is very high. Starting from $995/ month for a business package. The amplitude-free plan does not have a basic AB test framework. The speed of the sql query can be slow for some users.

**Recommendations to others considering Amplitude Analytics:**

Reading the documentation first and then implementing it is the best way.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are making games. So, where looking a what types of levels are performing better or checking daily retention of players or just analyzing the performance of last release amplitude is the best choice amongst all. The main benefit realized is we have custom charts for specific projects that we can look daily and see if any major drop/anomaly is there in user behaviour.

  ### 10. Funnels stop being reports and start becoming real decisions

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

One of the first things I notice with Amplitude Analytics is how easy it is to understand what users are actually doing without constantly asking someone from the data team for help. Once we have our event tracking in place, Funnels, Retention, Journeys, Cohorts, and Insights answer a lot of the questions that used to turn into long meetings. Most of the time, I just open a dashboard and I can quickly confirm whether an idea is right or completely off. There’s a lot of data available, but it never feels overwhelming. I'm already building my own reports without having to keep checking the documentation. I also like where the platform is heading. Besides analytics, we now use Experiment, Session Replay, Feature Experimentation, Guides & Surveys, and more recently Amplitude AI. Being able to ask questions in natural language and get a quick explanation of why a metric changed has actually been more useful than I expected.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The only time it starts getting a bit tricky is when you're mixing multiple cohorts, calculated properties, and advanced segments. If someone isn't used to analytics tools, it's easy to build a report that looks right but doesn't actually answer the question you're trying to solve.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One thing that happened recently was that we noticed an important metric starting to drop, but nobody could immediately figure out why. Instead of opening dashboard after dashboard, I asked Amplitude AI to help narrow things down. It didn't magically solve the problem, and honestly I wasn't expecting it to, but it pointed me to the user segment and part of the product where things were going wrong. From there, the investigation became much easier. Now, before we move anything on the roadmap, we check how people are actually using that part of the product. More than once we've discovered that a feature everyone keeps talking about is barely being used, while another one that nobody mentions is actually critical for retention. That's probably been the biggest change for me. We spend a lot less time arguing over opinions and a lot more time looking at real user behavior before making a decision.

  ### 11. Powerful Built-In Analytics and A/B Testing That Empower Teams

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude has a lot already built in - recognizing useful events on its own and giving users the framework to define the events they need. This can empower teams without extra resources to get the data they need. Since the AB testing and screen-capturing is included, you can use the same metrics across all your analysis at any time. For example, if you want to dive into certain aspects of a test, you can use the flag within an existing chart, or if you forget to define a metric for an AB test upfront, it's no problem - it's all in the vault, so to speak. The AI summaries of AB tests are practical, especially for sharing with management, and so far the AI tooling has been generally helpful, particularly in building charts.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude is "a lot" - it can be overwhelming at first, and since there are so many possibilities, it can be easy to get something wrong. Sometimes it can also be difficult to discern what is public and what is private - am I overwriting someone's metric or is this just in my space? Speaking of space, there is a lot to navigate and I would argue that the information architecture could be improved. Sometimes it can be difficult to find exactly what you are looking for, even when you've been there before. There are several layers of data types, and it can be difficult to understand how to use them best.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude allows us to analyze the customer journey through both the shop and app, while also providing screen capturing for deep-dive analysis and AB testing. Since all work together, we can better refine and confirm our hypotheses.

  ### 12. Intuitive Interface, Powerful User Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like that Amplitude Analytics is easy to integrate with our products (both B2C and B2B versions of the platform). Once integrated, it's easy to navigate, allowing us to set up new dashboards and analytics reports with just a few clicks. The intuitive interface makes it easy to use. I also appreciate the dashboard building feature, which simplifies setting up analytics and charts. We find the user cohort functionality valuable for understanding analytics by different user types and customers.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I definitely feel that Amplitude Analytics could have more analytical capabilities. For instance, I'm really missing some kind of dynamic cohorts. Right now, you need to select those users manually related to a specific domain, and having a type of dynamic cohorts would be very helpful.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics gives me visibility into platform usage, aiding in detailed feature analytics. It's easy to use, integrating and setting up dashboards swiftly. User cohorts help dissect analytics by user types and track campaign performance.

Use MCP to connect Claude and schedule Cowork tasks to monitor the business and resolve customer support issues. You can A/B test your features through experimentation, and the user-level event tracking is especially helpful: you can jump into a specific user and see every event they’re doing, with full details, which is great for QA on events. It’s also easy to start for free with a solid monthly event allowance.

On the analytics side, event segmentation is a fast way to build meaningful charts and answer product questions. You can ask Amplitude AI for insights about your product, use conversion funnels to understand how users convert and track conversion over time, and use Pathfinder to see which events trigger other events. Retention reporting also makes it clear how cohorts are retained over time.

Speed up your analysis with fast charts and dashboards. Anyone in the company will have access to product performance. Clear UI and build together with Amplitude AI Agent.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Charts are limited to a 1-year window. If you want to view 2 years of data, you have to create two separate charts. This also makes it hard to properly measure Conversion events over periods longer than a year, which is a limitation when trying to track annual renewals for subscription apps.

The Block events feature is a great tool for limiting event volume, but it would be even better if you could segment it by platform—for example, blocking an event only for Android.

**Recommendations to others considering Amplitude Analytics:**

Like with every analytics tool do an analysis of what events to track before implementing

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anyone in the company can access and answer product questions, especially now with an AI Agent or by using MCP with Claude or ChatGPT.

It also helps you spot technical issues in your app. For example, we discovered our Gmail social login was failing on the first attempt, so users had to try twice, and many dropped off at that step.

You can better understand how users behave, including which features they use and how intensely they use them. We realized some features were not very valuable, while others were, and we experimented with feature visibility to drive more adoption.

It’s also useful for identifying which events drive retention and for finding where users drop off in your onboarding funnel.

  ### 14. Amplitude Unifies Analytics and Session Replay for Faster Funnel Debugging

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like best is how Amplitude brings product analytics and Session Replay together in one place. We track complex quote and bind funnels across web and mobile, and being able to jump from a drop-off in a chart straight into a replay of what the user experienced makes debugging and prioritization much faster than digging through logs alone.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

When event properties aren’t structured consistently across client and server, cross-platform funnels can fail silently—you see drop-offs without an obvious reason until someone audits the payload shape. That’s less an Amplitude flaw than a consequence of how much control you have, but it’s the kind of downside that bites growing teams.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude solves the problem of not knowing what users actually do in our product. We can track key business events, build funnels, and spot abandonment early. That benefits us by shortening the loop from “something feels broken” to “here’s where and why”—so we fix the right issues and improve conversion with evidence behind every change.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really like using Amplitude because it’s powerful but still easy to work with. I don’t have to export data to Excel since I can do all my analysis in one place. The charts and visualizations make it simple to explore the data and dig deeper when needed. Features like Session Replay and Cohort Analysis are very helpful to understand user behavior. I also find the Event Segmentation, Funnel, and Retention charts especially useful for my day-to-day analysis. Getting started was pretty straightforward with the help of their documentation.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

It isn’t very intuitive or easy to use for a non-technical audience. Many non-technical users find it overwhelming and often need ongoing support from the data team to understand their reports and to create their own.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me better understand product growth, retention rates, and churn indicators. It allows me to analyze user journeys, key funnels, and where users drop off, and it also supports deeper data analysis through its advanced features and visualizations.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

The ability to rapidly answer questions that would be otherwise time-consuming and potentially require specialised knowledge of tools like SQL as well as being able to easily dig deeper, investigating related information in a way that can easily be visualised and shared with others.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Much harder to find things I dislike about it than things I like. The only thing that really comes to mind is that the ease of use sometimes comes at the cost of being able to perform some complex analyses.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to identify and monitor key customer journeys and where issues are occurring so we can best focus our efforts when it comes to things like where we should improve.

It also empowers more of our team to be hands on and familiar with exactly how our users interact with us online, which in turn means that future products involve less guesswork and are instead led by what we can see our users are most likely to appreciate/use.

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I appreciate Amplitude Analytics' easy-to-use UI, which allows non-technical teams like design and product to access data without relying on us. The segment and funnel charts are a lifesaver for monitoring and analysis, and I find the ability to download data from a chart very helpful. I value the real-time connectivity and data flow because it's easy to integrate and ensures that events are tracked in real time, which helps reduce the turnaround time for anomaly detection. The initial setup was very easy, and we didn't face much trouble setting it up.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

In the free version, on a dashboard, we cannot change the time range for all visuals at once. We have to adjust each one manually inside each chart one by one. If we have many charts on a dashboard, it can take some time to load.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics for real-time insights, conversion metrics, and user behavior tracking. It helps non-technical teams access data easily. Real-time data flow aids anomaly detection, and segments and funnel charts simplify monitoring and analysis.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like the ability to build funnels for self-trial leads and understand the patterns of their drop-offs using Amplitude Analytics. I find the feature that collects data on events and highlights where we should focus based on drop-offs to be very useful. I appreciate the MCP and the option to export data as a PDF. Additionally, the ability to filter or group events by different factors to get more precise data is valuable to me. Overall, I am happy with Amplitude Analytics and the amount of insights I receive from it.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

When exporting via PDF, sometimes the text and charts overlay each other, making it not fully readable, which complicates sharing it with others. However, there are different ways to handle this, and I use those workarounds.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to build funnels for self-trial leads. It helps me understand drop-off patterns and indicates where we should focus more attention, based on events data.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like the interface, how easy and intuitive it is to use, it's integration with Slack, and the monitoring features where I can get important alerts straight into my mailbox instantly. One thing I absolutely love though, is the Amplitude's AI - it is too good to be true especially when it comes to analyzing dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Even though the performance on creating dashboards with AI is pretty strong, it can only manage some of the basic charts like segmentation, funnel and retention. Dashboards are really good overall, but the personalization could be better, in my opinion. Also, for some mostly used charts, there are information bubbles everywhere which I really like, but some of the others -in my opinion, the less intuitive ones- doesn't have that supporting bubbles, I'd really like to have them.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me clear insights and makes my decision making process so much easier and data-driven.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude works well as a shared source of truth across marketing, data, and engineering. The same event taxonomy that drives Braze campaigns also powers the analytics dashboards the wider business looks at, so when a campaign isn't behaving as expected, everyone can investigate in the same tool.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude has been shipping a lot of UI changes recently, which is generally good, but it means features sometimes move around or get reorganised between releases. New users in our team have to relearn navigation more than I'd expect, and some older documentation no longer matches what's on screen.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem Amplitude solves for us is unblocking marketing from the data team. Without it, every "how many users did X in the last 30 days?" question becomes a SQL ticket and a wait. With Amplitude, the marketing automation team can answer those questions themselves, validate audience sizes before a campaign goes live, and debug behavioural data when something looks off.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

The funnel dashboards are what I rely on most. In the past, answering a question like where users were dropping off in a flow meant submitting a data request and waiting in someone else’s queue—and by the time the answer came back, the context had usually shifted. Now I can build the funnel myself and iterate on it in the same sitting, which turns what used to be a multi-day round trip into a same-day answer. That move from “request the data” to “answer it myself” has been the single biggest win.

I also like that I can segment a funnel and immediately see which step the drop-off is concentrated in, without writing SQL. It lets me pursue my own hypotheses as they come up, instead of batching everything into one big ask.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Event selection and taxonomy are my biggest friction point. In a large org, there’s a lot of duplication in the event list: several similarly named events for what is effectively the same user action. The picker also doesn’t help you tell which event is canonical or even actively instrumented. As a result, building a funnel correctly depends on already knowing the taxonomy, which is a real problem for anyone new to the workspace. Surfacing volume or last-seen data directly in the event picker would resolve most of this confusion.

Onboarding also assumes you already know the tool. Getting access isn’t the same as being productive. The docs explain what each chart type does, but not which one to reach for given a specific question, so early on I spent more time debating chart types than actually analyzing. A guided “you’re trying to answer X, start here” path would shorten ramp-up considerably.

Discoverability of existing work is another challenge. With a large number of projects and lots of previously built charts and dashboards, it’s genuinely hard to know whether the analysis you need already exists. I’ve rebuilt things that were probably already sitting in someone else’s dashboard. Search seems to rely on you already knowing the right title, and the practical result is duplicated effort across teams.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem it solves is the bottleneck between having a question about user behavior and getting an answer. Before, that usually meant filing a data request and waiting in an analyst queue, so turnaround was measured in days. By the time the answer arrived, the decision it was meant to inform had often already been made. Amplitude shifts that to self-serve, so the answer comes back while the question still matters.

The business benefit is twofold. First, it frees up analyst capacity: routine “where are users dropping off?” questions no longer consume specialist time, and that time can go to deeper work. Second, and more valuable, it lowers the cost of asking. When a follow-up question takes minutes instead of a formal request, more questions get asked, and decisions end up grounded in data rather than in whoever argued most confidently. Things that were previously dropped because they weren’t worth the overhead now simply get answered.

It also gives teams a shared source of truth for the numbers, so discussions start from the same figures instead of first having to reconcile competing spreadsheets.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Turning a multi-day data request into a same-sitting funnel is exactly the point, so it's a shame the event picker is where it slows back down. Not being able to tell which of several similarly named events is canonical or still instrumented is a real gap, and surfacing volume or last-seen data right in the picker is a sharp suggestion. Same with the onboarding point, since knowing what each chart type does isn't the same as knowing which one answers your question. I've passed both along.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like Amplitude Analytics for its ability to provide clear and detailed insights into user behavior, which is crucial for tracking user interaction with different app features. The charts feature makes it pretty easy to derive insights, and the ability to track custom events simplifies analyzing feature usage across the app. The dashboards and visualizations save a lot of time and the real-time analytics through live events is very helpful in measuring success and failure metrics.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Real-time data updates may sometimes have delays depending on the volume of events being processed. Better integration visibility and debugging support for developers would make implementation and maintenance easier. Could improve integration visibility by providing more detailed event delivery logs, including clearer information on whether events were successfully sent, delayed or failed and a more developer-friendly debugging console with real-time event inspection would make it easier to validate event payloads.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to track user behavior, analyze user journeys, and measure feature adoption. It solves visibility issues by providing detailed analytics and insights, enabling data-driven product decisions.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I find that Amplitude can definitely be a bit of a challenge to pick up at first. The UI is powerful, but navigating through the advanced performance settings and cohort builders can be a steep learning curve for team members just starting out. I also find myself wishing for more intelligent automation around taxonomy management; keeping data clean as we scale requires a lot of manual lifting that I think could be better handled by AI suggestions. From a pricing standpoint, it can also get quite expensive as your data grows, which means we have to stay really hands-on with monitoring to make sure we're seeing the right ROI. A more guided onboarding or deeper native support for these specific scaling pain points would make a big difference in the daily experience.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

While the platform is undeniably powerful, it isn’t always the easiest to pick up. The interface can feel overwhelming for new team members, making the learning curve for advanced analysis quite steep. I also find that as our data needs grow, the costs climb fairly quickly, requiring us to be very diligent with monitoring to ensure we’re getting the right value. Additionally, while the integrations are extensive, managing data taxonomy at scale is still a manual effort, and sometimes the performance can feel a bit sluggish when running complex, high-volume queries. It would be a huge help to see more intuitive, AI-driven guidance built into the onboarding process to help new users get up to speed faster, streamline our taxonomy, and optimize overall query performance.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Amplitude, we struggled with fragmented data and slow reporting that made it difficult to validate our metrics quickly. Now, we use it to unify our event tracking and build custom dashboards, which has drastically reduced the manual engineering work we used to rely on. It’s significantly improved our team's workflow—even with the initial learning curve, the ability to dive into complex cohort analyses has transformed how we approach operational decision-making. By leveraging the platform's performance and integrations to keep our data clean, we’re seeing much faster turnaround times on key insights, allowing us to focus our efforts where they actually drive ROI. While scaling costs require diligent monitoring, the visibility we gain into user journeys is invaluable for optimizing our core operations.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really like how Amplitude Analytics keeps the event specs and code in sync, making it simpler to work with the Analytics Team. It makes sure no information is missed when an analyst creates an event, as all necessary details are automatically synced into the codebase. This effectively bridges the gap between analysts and software engineers, eliminating the need for manual synchronization of event specifications.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The dashboard is quite confusing to navigate, making it hard to find where events are shown and how to configure experiments. It would help to have separate views for different users, such as one for those who consume data and another for those who create events. Also, remembering to access the EU instead of the US website can be problematic, as the login flow does not redirect to the correct instance. I often find it difficult to navigate to the correct tab, especially since developer-related information lives under 'Data,' which is relatively hidden in the menu. Renaming the 'Data' tab and adding more links to it from different parts of the dashboard could be very helpful.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps us understand user interactions, streamline communication between Analytics and Tech, and sync event specs directly into code, eliminating manual tracking.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Honestly, Amplitude has become the tool I open before anything else in the morning. Building charts is fast and intuitive — you can go from "I wonder why checkout drop-off spiked" to a segmented funnel with cohort filters in under five minutes, no SQL needed. The event segmentation and funnel views are super flexible, and once you get the hang of the property filters, you can slice data in ways that would take hours in a BI tool.

Session replays are a nice bonus too — being able to jump from a funnel drop-off directly into real user recordings to see what actually happened is genuinely useful and saves a lot of back-and-forth with the team.

On the integration side, the MCP connector has been a game changer for us. We can pull Amplitude data into our broader analytics workflows programmatically, which means less manual exporting and more time actually acting on insights.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The API has some real limitations that catch you off guard. There's a hard cap on how many series you can query at once, which means for larger analyses you end up exporting CSVs manually from the UI — not a dealbreaker, but a bit clunky. Some of the more advanced filter behaviors (especially around multi-value properties) aren't well documented, so there's a lot of trial and error if you're doing anything non-standard.

Onboarding is also trickier than it looks. The UI feels approachable but there's a lot of depth hidden underneath, and new team members often underuse it for the first few months without dedicated enablement.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest thing Amplitude solves for us is getting rid of the "I think users do X" problem. Before having a proper analytics setup, a lot of product decisions were based on gut feel or one-off data pulls from engineering. Now we can answer most funnel and behavior questions ourselves, in real time, without filing a data request.

it's helped us in a few key areas:

1. We can pinpoint exactly where users are falling out of a checkout or signup flow, and more importantly, segment that drop-off by platform, user cohort, or event property to figure out why. That's gone from a days-long investigation to a 10-minute chart.
2. Tracking trial-to-paid conversion, understanding what behaviors predict a purchase, and measuring the impact of pricing or UX changes has become way more structured. We've run analyses that directly shaped how we think about our subscription products.
3. Knowing whether a new feature actually gets used — and by whom — used to be guesswork. Now we instrument the feature on launch and have retention and engagement data within days.
4. Dashboards are shareable, so product, marketing, and engineering can all look at the same numbers. Fewer "which version of the data is right" conversations.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I like that they allow me to deeply configure the data and metrics I want to observe; moreover, the artificial intelligence offers quite a precise guide to achieve what I'm looking for. The interface can be overwhelming at first, but with use and the support of AI, one gets oriented in no time.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The interface is overwhelming, there are many options to choose from and finding something specific can be challenging, but the artificial intelligence was very efficient in helping me with this.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to analyze the metrics of my application. In particular, I needed to review the loading times of two different scenarios to make a decision, and thanks to these metrics, it was easier for me to determine which was the correct path. In short, it helped me improve performance by letting me see the real-time behavior of users, represented in data.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really appreciate the amazing support for TypeScript. Since our entire system is built in TypeScript, being able to download the description of every single event in TypeScript helps us ensure our code isn't drifting away. The branching and versioning features built into their library are great because they allow our team to use the platform in various ways without a single point of failure. Additionally, the Chrome extension makes it much easier for us to test and play around with the system without spending too much time, which is easier compared to alternative options.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I feel like there could be a beginner friendly interface in our company. Our engineering and product team is very savvy in using Amplitude. But some of the other departments find it too intimidating to use Amplitude on a day-to-day basis. Also, giving the ability to build dashboards and then share with specific people would be useful. So essentially not public links, but controlled links where we can just share it with a couple of people via their email. It wasn't actually too easy to set up because we had a mono repo and we didn't have Amplitude from the get-go, so it meant that we had to experiment a lot with how we can make it work.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics lets us dive deeper into data and make sense of it in one platform without too much planning. We can mix different graphs and metrics, enhancing our understanding of user experience and funnel insights.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Creating a chart is very easy and intuitive. The charts also look good and are easy to update. The browser extension is also very helpful and has a good UI

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

While it is easy to create basic charts from simple calculations and queries, I have not found a clear way to handle more complex calculations for chart creation in Amplitude. This may be a gap in my understanding, but at the moment, the workflow does not feel very intuitive.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us monitor user behavior and validate our decisions and assumptions. We also gather useful data on the timing and duration of user actions, which helps us optimize flows and set more appropriate values for timeouts and other numeric parameters.

I think the ease of use of Amplitude Analytics is one of the things I like the most. The interface is user-friendly and the UX is good, which makes everything very simple. The visualizations have an interesting and modern design. The way Amplitude is used is quite intuitive, as it is more visual and conversational than writing in SQL. This allows me to use group by and filters in a very simple way. Additionally, the flexibility to create and expand visualizations is something I greatly value.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

One aspect I find problematic with Amplitude Analytics is the lack of data synchronization. Previously, Amplitude only read and stored data without updating it, which can be an issue since data is frequently updated. Compared to other more common BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Looker, where changes in the Data Warehouse are automatically reflected, this can be a downside. In Amplitude, the data remains static, and this can be a problem. Even if you update the data and set it as new, there is still the task of removing past data, which can be complicated. It was also a bit challenging at first to understand the different entities like the differences between Track, Identify, and Group events, which were new to us. Some features of Amplitude were unexpected, such as event management and changing event names and properties, which was challenging to understand and required adaptation.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics allows my clients to use data easily, which is a major differentiator. This frees up my team to focus on more complex tasks, avoiding the need to create visualizations for users, thus reducing the workload.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics primarily to understand my app's behavior and user interactions. I love how it helps me track app failures and gives me a clear chart of events per user with exact data points. The chart and report features are incredibly helpful in deriving decisions—they're just a wow. I appreciate the wide variety of features it provides, making life easier by getting me the data I need. Its ability to show the user journey clearly with proper event validations makes it pretty easy to understand user behavior and quickly see what's useful and what's not. The live events feature is fantastic because it allows me to see the user interactions with my app in real time, helping me know instantly if something is working or broken. The initial setup was pretty simple and straightforward, which I appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Sometimes it's hard for me to derive on decisions based on complex reports or data. The chart features help a lot in tracking user events, but sometimes it feels overwhelming with too many options, making it difficult to quickly find what matters to me. And I also felt like we would have made the UI a little simpler, as of now the UI feels a little complex for complicated actions.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me understand app usage and failures with detailed user journey insights. It's great for validating features and making data-driven decisions quickly.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

The interface is clear in its design and generally understandable if you have basic experience with data visualization tools.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Some functionality is unclear. This could be due to my own personal experience or the quality of our data and naming conventions, but there are times it's hard to find what you're looking for.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a product manager, I need to visualize our KPIs and report to leadership. Amplitude gives me a way to build dashboards that track the most important items as well as keep my own experimental charts within my private space for my own analysis and research.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

As a software engineer the things I like most about Amplitude Analytics are the simplicity of the UI, being able to quickly gather information about how the users are using the product, what are the most common drop offs, what is converting users well, but also additional information about the user and the user's device can give great insight. Another thing that is very helpful is integrations with other tools which enable us to only log Amplitude events, and have them on other platforms as well such as Braze. Also it supports alerting when anomalies are detected which we've found very useful. Last but not least, feature flags and experiments setup is very intuitive and allows a lot of flexibility in segmenting users and adding variants with payloads. Amplitude has replaced the need for multiple tools to accomplish these things. It's SDK has improved our ways of working with event logging.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Nothing major, some UI quirks such as those when filtering values the dropdown can be hard to interact with it sometimes closes when you don't want it to and similar

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Amplitude Analytics, we struggled with reliably tracking user behavior, especially because analytics requests could be blocked by ad blockers or browser privacy tools. Amplitude helped solve this by supporting proxy-based tracking, which improves the reliability of event collection and gives us more confidence in our product data.
It has also simplified how we manage feature flags and experiments. Previously, this would often require separate tools or more custom engineering work. Now we can manage analytics, experiments, and feature rollouts in one place, which reduces operational overhead and makes it easier to connect product changes with measurable user impact.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I use Amplitude Analytics with Google Analytics. Amplitude Analytics is very powerful; you can see everything you want, make your own funnel, and make any chart you can think of. It has a lot of features that I love, so yes, this is the best thing about Amplitude Analytics.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude analytics has one main challenge for me: it isn’t always clear what to do next. That said, there are plenty of materials and videos available, and you can also ask any AI for guidance when you get stuck. Overall, I feel these features are designed to support you and make the process easier.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Amplitude Analytics, I can understand where my bottlenecks are and where our customers are struggling with our product. For me, as a startupper, this is a great starting point. They also offer start-up perks, which I really appreciate because when you’re a start-up, you can’t pay a lot of money, so it helps you stay on the saving road.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

It covers the full scope of product analytics comprehensively, including marketing channel analysis, product engagement, user cohorts, retention, and more. With the AI agent features, it makes my day-to-day work a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The learning curve feels too steep for beginners and occasional users. With the massive number of events and properties we track, it’s almost impossible for those users to jump in and create their own analysis, even with the AI chart creation feature.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It reduces the time and effort that used to be required to complete an analysis. For example, watching user session replays can take a lot of time to synthesize. With the session replay AI agent and quick takeaways, I can now spot early usability issues faster and circle back with our design and product team to drive further improvements.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Events are easy to configure and ingest in my app, and it’s straightforward to filter them by user or by different properties. I also really like being able to configure feature flags for specific users, or for users who match certain properties. On top of that, the session replay functionality is a big plus and adds a lot of value.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The UI definitely takes some time to get used to. The screen feels packed with buttons and menus, and it takes a while to learn where everything is. The integration with your app can also be a bit complex, especially if you’re not very tech-savvy, so the initial setup and getting everything connected may take some extra patience.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve been using Amplitude Analytics for years to track user behaviour in our application. We also use it to store user information, which makes it easy to compare usage across different parameters.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think one of my favorite things about Amplitude Analytics is the AI robot. It really simplifies work a lot for me by helping make charts and triggering enough time. I also really like how friendly it can be.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I think it would be very helpful when exporting a dashboard if it was more efficient. Sometimes when you download it as a PDF, the dimensions cut off, and that's not always working well. Another challenge is the standardization of events and properties because of misalignments between event planning and usage. Some events have different nomenclatures like snake case or Pascal case, making it complicated to understand. It would be more efficient to create more properties for events.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Analytics to understand user behavior by segmenting interests and tracking drop-offs. It helps us refine strategies and communicate better by analyzing funnels and user paths.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

It was easy to set up in my codebase. The session replays are useful for understanding user behavior, and they’re also easy to share across teams. Large selection of integrations that are easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Sometimes even quick questions—like when a user last completed a particular event—end up requiring you to build a chart to find the answer. That makes it harder for people who are less experienced with the platform to self-serve and get simple information quickly. On top of that, the number of add-ons can be confusing, and it isn’t always clear what we actually have access to.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us understand who is using our platform and how often. We use this to identify power users as well as users who may be at risk. It’s also useful for checking whether our UI/UX is working well and where we might need to improve it.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Good to hear setup and the integrations went smoothly, and that replays are traveling well between your teams. Building a chart just to find when someone last did something is more work than that question deserves, and there are faster paths for single-user questions depending on how your account is configured. That connects to your second point, so it's worth asking support.amplitude.com what's active on your plan and what the shortest route to that answer looks like with what you have.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I really like the new AI assistant in Amplitude Analytics because it makes it much easier and quicker to build charts and funnels. The browser extension is amazing too. I love how easy it is to identify event names and triggers, allowing me to build charts based on them. It makes deep diving into data super quick, which I appreciate as a non-data person. The AI assistant is particularly effective because it takes a lot of the 'thinking' and architecture out of my hands, letting me focus on analyzing the results instead of just building charts.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Maybe this exists already, and I don't know if, but I would love a functionality where I click through a user flow on our website or inside the platform, and then Amplitude records that and automatically creates a chart for this funnel. It would also be helpful for me to have a curated library - e.g., an admin can set some standard/default charts that anyone in marketing should have access to, and we all take that as a source of truth. Currently, we build many different charts as everyone is working in silos.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me track user flow and conversion points, uncovering where conversions drop or spike. With the AI assistant and browser extension, I quickly build charts and funnels, focusing on analysis rather than setup, which is invaluable as a non-data person.

**Official Response from Tamara Kecman:**

> Thank you for this awesome feedback! We're thrilled to hear that Amplitude is helping you across both marketing and product, and that you're enjoying the browser extension! You're absolutely right; with great data power comes the need for clarity. If you want to dig into Amplitude with some added support, our Community is a great place to be (https://bit.ly/cohort-community). Thanks for being such a thoughtful user!

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like most about Amplitude is how easy it is to understand user behavior without needing a lot of heavy technical work. The interface feels intuitive, the event analysis is powerful, and the segmentation options are very flexible. Overall, it helps teams move faster from data to action and make decisions with more confidence.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Some advanced configurations can get complicated pretty quickly, especially when it comes to event governance and managing taxonomy at scale. The learning curve can also be steep for non-technical users, and pricing tends to rise fast as usage increases.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude helps us understand how users interact with our product throughout the entire journey. It gives us better visibility into feature adoption, funnel drop-offs, retention, and user segmentation. As a result, our teams can make faster product decisions based on real user behavior rather than assumptions.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

The design is quite intuitive, specially the new AI feature that creates charts/dashboards on the go rather than spending longer times for building the same things. Pricing wise its on a higher end but the quality and the performance justifies it. Good for young startups because of credits specially. Also the chrome plugin is really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Overall the costing is on a higher side specially for young teams and the AI feature can be refined a little further for creating dashboards specially as saving charts is the first step. So instead of cant be done, it can go the other way round.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analysing the complete funnel and drop off points at different levels that help us pin pointedly identify what needs to be prioritized.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I’ve been using Amplitude and really like how clean and intuitive the dashboard feels. The UI/UX is well designed, and it’s easy to filter users, build funnels, create cohorts, and work with charts without much effort.

What stands out is how simple it is for non-tech teams to use. You don’t need deep technical knowledge to get value from it, and the third-party integrations make it easy to fit into your workflow.

Overall, it’s a powerful and user-friendly analytics tool.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Issue is pricing. As your data grows, costs can increase quite fast, which makes it less friendly for startups or teams trying to stay lean.
Overall, it’s great for ease of use, but can feel restrictive and expensive as you scale.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit is clarity. I can quickly see what’s working and what’s not without relying too much on developers or raw data. It helps in making faster product decisions, improving user experience, and identifying growth opportunities based on real user behavior instead of assumptions.

I like that I am able to create dashboards and modify the dashboards to the specificity that I am looking for. I also like the fact that I can scheduled recurring emails with the downloaded data that I need.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

We have a lot of data points, so I wish it was easier to search for what I need. The AI agent could also be more helpful. I wish that I can describe what dashboard and data set I need to the AI agent and then they can set up a framework or a draft.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are several user and usage reports within our internal data platform that we are unable to get through the normal end user UI. Amplitude allows me a fairly easy way to pull the data I need and send to clients or share internally.

Amplitude is very user-friendly, and it’s easy to set up new dashboards. I also find it really helpful that I can get a daily digest of the most important product metrics I’m tracking, such as feature retention, adoption, activation, and more.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The initial tracking setup wasn’t very straightforward, especially when it came to the logic and structure we used for naming our events and any additional parameters.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude helps me make sure new capabilities and product changes launch smoothly and meet our success metrics. It also makes it easier to spot UX issues early, so we can address them before they become bigger problems.

The interface is very clean and neat, even though I still prefer the previous version of the home screen. I also like that you can create several independent tables and place them across different dashboards, which makes it easier to keep things organized.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

The data loads very slowly, and there’s a fairly steep learning curve. Also, the financial data doesn’t seem accurate.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to check our weekly data, and it makes it easy to get a clear overview.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

Amplitude's speed of insight is really amazing. The ability to easily create dashboards and charts in the UI is amazing. Typically I am suspect new AI features, but Amplitude's make using the platform actually so much better as you're able to train the models on your businesses needs.

I can import data from multiple sources or export data to destinations like Snowflake or Google Ads.

Onboarding and their knowledge bank is also super useful.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

While it is a different tool than something like GA4, getting equivalent marketing attribution insights is a bit harder but overall the platform is great.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude's built in data governance tools reduce our work in keeping clean data immensely. It's a game changer.

  ### 46. Amplitude Supercharges Insights with MCP Integration, AI Agent, and Standout Guides & Surveys

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

First, the MCP integration has been a genuine productivity multiplier. Being able to query Amplitude data directly within my existing workflow, without switching context, has dramatically shortened the path from question to insight. Tasks that used to require multiple steps across tools now happen in a single flow.
Second, the integrated AI agent makes the platform accessible at every level. Instead of manually building charts for every business question, I can ask naturally and get to answers faster. This has been especially valuable for ad hoc analysis and exploratory questions.
Third, Guides and Surveys is a standout feature. The ability to trigger in-app nudges, onboarding flows, and feedback prompts based on behavioral data closes the loop between analytics and action. It lets you engage users at exactly the right moment, with minimal engineering overhead.
Together, these three capabilities make Amplitude feel less like a BI tool and more like an integrated part of how the product team operates.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Event management and schema changes can be challenging at scale. When event names evolve or need restructuring, it tends to have a knock-on effect across charts, dashboards, and cohorts. A more guided migration experience would go a long way in reducing the maintenance burden that comes with a maturing data taxonomy.
Some of the more advanced features have a learning curve. Tools like Pathfinder or custom formula metrics are genuinely powerful, but they reward users who invest time in understanding the platform deeply. Better in-product guidance or contextual tooltips could help teams get more value from these features sooner.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude solves the core challenge every product team faces: turning raw user behavior into decisions you can act on with confidence.
For us, this shows up in a few concrete ways. Funnel and retention analysis lets us understand where learners drop off and what keeps them coming back, which directly shapes how we prioritize features and iterate on the learning experience. Cohort segmentation means we can go beyond surface-level metrics and ask sharper questions, like how engagement differs across skill levels, markets, or acquisition channels.
More broadly, Amplitude reduces the distance between a business question and a reliable answer. That benefits the whole team, but especially as a product manager it means I can walk into decisions, whether about monetization, onboarding, or feature prioritization, with data rather than instinct alone.

I think it's more related to the data structure built by the data team at my company, but sometimes it gets really hard to find exactly the event I am looking for

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me a lot when sharing my squad progress (on a weekly basis) with stakeholders. It's the tool we use to measure our success

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

It's great in viewing detailed logs of user journeys and understanding user behavior. It has a very smooth interface that is easy to understand. It's connected with claude which is good. It can handle many inputs at once. I am in intern, so pricing does not concern me. It was easy to understand and gain support, especially since claude was connected.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

I am not able to view personal IPs but then again Amplitude is a client-side software. Also the Inbuilt AI felt quite limited when it comes to giving de
tailed and informed responses.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

okay with amplitude we are able to view user behavior. for example we witnessed spikes at 1:00am throughout the week. we were able to investigate this thanks to amplitude.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

What I like most about Amplitude Analytics is how it delivers clear, real-time insights into user behavior, supported by intuitive dashboards and straightforward event tracking.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

One challenge with Amplitude Analytics is that the platform can feel overwhelming at first due to the sheer number of features and configuration options. Some advanced reports and event setups come with a learning curve, especially for new users. Additionally, dashboard performance can occasionally slow down when working with large datasets, and certain customizations can make the experience feel less responsive.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps me better understand user behavior, feature adoption, and conversion trends by providing detailed, real-time insights and clear funnel analysis. With this, I can make faster, data-driven decisions, improve the overall product experience, and prioritize features based on actual user engagement.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?**

I'd particularly value:

Measuring adoption of newly released capabilities.
Understanding where users abandon critical workflows.
Defining meaningful product KPIs instead of relying on vanity metrics.
Identifying which features are rarely used and candidates for simplification or retirement.
Giving product managers and engineers access to the same data so discussions are based on evidence rather than intuition.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?**

Its main drawbacks are the need for disciplined event instrumentation and governance, a moderate learning curve for advanced features, increasing costs at scale, and the fact that it complements rather than replaces observability or business intelligence tools. For larger organizations, success depends as much on good analytics practices as on the platform itself.

**What problems is Amplitude Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Analytics helps us understand how users interact with our product, identify where they drop off, and measure feature adoption. This enables faster, data-driven product decisions and helps improve the overall user experience.
