"Powerful Analytics and Deep Insights with Amplitude"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

Amplitude stands out for its depth and the strength of its interlinking features. I can track usage not only by volume but also by time spent, and then connect this data to specific events, which helps me gain a broader understanding of user behavior.

Another aspect I appreciate is the ability to create both static and dynamic cohorts, allowing me to tailor my investigations based on what I want to explore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Amplitude presents a somewhat steeper learning curve compared to other platforms I have used, mainly because of its extensive range of features. It takes a bit more time to become familiar with everything it offers.

Additionally, I find the customization options for both charts and dashboards to be limited. In my experience with Looker, I was able to create dashboards with greater flexibility and freedom, such as adding pre-defined filters. When it comes to charting and visual customization, Looker also provides a wider variety of options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Granular Insights, Needs Easier Usability"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

I love how Amplitude Analytics allows us to slice and dice data from days to months, giving us the ability to see user interactions on a day-to-day basis. The capability to get really granular into the data is something that really helps us. Being able to check granular details such as when users might drop off or when they are most engaged helps us understand the psyche of our users. It enables us to correlate user interactions with specific times or days, which is tremendously beneficial for tailoring our strategies. This granularity in detailing helps us identify where customers might face challenges, providing critical insights into their journey. Overall, the depth of analytics that Amplitude Analytics offers enables us to make better-informed decisions and understand the effectiveness of features across different platforms, whether on desktop or mobile, ensuring that we can optimize our offerings to better meet customer needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

I think there is a bit of a learning curve with Amplitude Analytics. It's not a very self-explanatory platform. Every time I've needed to use it, I've had to rely on either a project manager or my manager to help me understand the data or user behavior. It would be beneficial if the platform were more user-friendly and self-explanatory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Analytics & Support, But Pricing Limits Event Tracking"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

Amplitude Analytics offers a wide range of charts, from basic to advanced, that address nearly all the needs you might have for product analytics. In addition, it provides effective data management tools like data alerts—which I find extremely useful—and data governance features that become especially valuable as your product grows in size and complexity. What truly stands out for me, though, is Amplitude’s customer support. Their team consistently provides thoughtful, well-reasoned responses and quickly grasps the issues I’m facing. It’s honestly the best support team I’ve ever encountered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Amplitude Analytics' pricing model is determined by data volume, meaning that the more events you track, the higher the cost. This structure discourages teams from tracking additional events, even though product teams generally want to collect as much data as possible. In our organization, this has become a significant obstacle. We have often had to implement feature flags to control which events are tracked, allowing us to disable certain events if the volume becomes too high. I believe pricing should be based on the number of users instead, so organizations can freely instrument events without constantly worrying about escalating Amplitude costs. "Best tool for product analytics!"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

Apart from providing lot of handy features like live event tracking, session replays and conversions, I think amplitude is very easy to use and integrate with products in general. Our dev team faced little to no issues in the implementation of amplitude with our existing products. We use amplitude a lot and I think its honestly one of the best product analytics tool I have used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

One thing which is not doable is the ability to compare analytics across organisations. It would be really cool to track metrics and KPI's across products in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ampltiude Enables Our Product to Fulfill Its Core Purpose for Customers"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is its perfect combination of ease of use, speed, and flexibility. The platform is very easy to implement and integrates smoothly with our existing data stack, which made adoption seamless across teams. Its intuitive interface allows us to build reports and dashboards in minutes without the need for complex data cleanup or formulas, so we can spend all our time on meaningful analysis. I also appreciate the wide range of customization options for charts and visualizations, which helps us define metrics the way we need them. Collaboration is another highlight, as dashboards and insights can be easily shared across the organization, keeping everyone aligned on the same source of truth. The platform’s ability to query massive datasets in seconds makes it possible to track performance and take quick action when needed. On top of that, the customer support team has been responsive and helpful whenever we’ve had questions. We use Amplitude frequently, almost daily and it has become an essential tool for making data-driven product decisions and ensuring our product continues to serve customer needs effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

One challenge with Amplitude Analytics is the limitation on creating visualizations for only up to one year at a time. For teams that want to analyze multi-year trends or historical performance at a glance, this can be restrictive. Extending the time range for visualizations would make the platform even more powerful for long-term analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Positive & Insightful: Excellent Tool for Deep User Insights and Growth Analysis"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

Amplitude provides a very intuitive interface and powerful behavioral analytics capabilities. It makes it easy to track user journeys, segment audiences, and uncover actionable insights without relying too heavily on engineering support. The visualizations, funnels, and retention charts are interactive and help quickly identify drop-offs or growth opportunities. I especially like how easily it integrates with other marketing and product tools, making performance tracking and cohort analysis much more seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

While Amplitude is powerful, it can sometimes feel complex for new users — especially when setting up events, properties, or custom dashboards without prior technical knowledge. The data syncing with other platforms can also take time, and large projects may experience slower loading speeds. Additionally, advanced analyses often require precise event taxonomy, which means even small tracking errors can affect results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Funnel progression in best way"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

The funnel progression view in Amplitude provides a clear, step-by-step understanding of how users move across each stage, offering deep visibility into performance metrics. With such detailed analysis, marketers can easily identify what’s working and what needs improvement. Additionally, the segmentation chart highlights gaps and weak areas, empowering marketers to refine their strategies and focus efforts where they can drive stronger, more profitable outcomes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Amplitude is a very powerful analytics tool, but at times it can feel a bit complex for new users and requires technical setup to unlock its full potential. Some advanced features and integrations also take extra effort to configure, and costs can scale quickly with high data volumes. That said, once set up properly, the insights are extremely valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amanda Brush of Amplitude

Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We’re so glad to hear how funnel progression in Amplitude is giving your team the clarity to pinpoint drop-offs, refine campaigns, and drive stronger outcomes. It’s great to know the combination of analytics and segmentation is helping you connect marketing efforts to real impact. We appreciate your note on setup and complexity — we’re always working to make the learning curve smoother and the experience even more accessible.

"Powerful Analytics, Could Use Better Comparison Tools"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

I find the segmentation funnel charts incredibly useful, as they resolve many of my analysis questions. The event streaming feature offers real-time insights into user actions. I also appreciate the integration capabilities, especially the syncing with Snowflake, which serves both as a source and destination. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

I find it challenging that Amplitude does not provide much help in comparing data across different time periods. When analyzing the same funnel over two different periods, it can be difficult to understand why conversion rates might be high on one day and low on another. Amplitude doesn’t effectively clarify the distinctions in user behavior between these periods, which requires me to delve deeply into the data myself. This lack of guidance in solving the 'whys' behind different user patterns and behaviors is somewhat frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Insights with a Learning Curve: My Experience with Amplitude Analytics"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is how easy it makes it to understand user behavior and product performance. The platform provides clear, visual insights through features like funnels, cohorts, and retention analysis, which help teams make smarter, data-driven decisions. It’s intuitive, powerful, and great for turning analytics into actionable insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

While Amplitude Analytics is a powerful tool, it can feel a bit overwhelming at first due to the number of features and depth of options available. Some advanced analyses also require a learning curve to fully understand. Additionally, setting up event tracking and ensuring consistent data quality can take some time and coordination with technical teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amanda Brush of Amplitude

Hi Akash,

Thank you for the thoughtful review. We’re glad Amplitude Analytics makes it easy to understand user behavior with clear insights from funnels, cohorts, and retention, and it helps turn analysis into action. We hear you on the learning curve and the upfront work to get tracking consistent—there’s a lot of power under the hood. We’re continually investing in in‑product guidance and best‑practice templates, and we’re happy to help you streamline event setup and data quality so teams ramp faster. Thanks again for your feedback!

"Amplitude review"
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

Event-based tracking clarity: It makes it incredibly easy to understand how users move through funnels, identify drop-offs, and see which actions drive retention.

Intuitive visualization: The interface is clean and interactive — you can slice, filter, and pivot data without needing to rely on SQL or analysts for every question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

Steep learning curve for setup: While dashboards are intuitive once events are flowing, the initial implementation and event taxonomy design can be quite complex. You need a clear data strategy upfront — otherwise, analyses quickly get messy.

Limited data governance tools: As projects grow, maintaining clean, consistent event naming and properties becomes difficult. There’s no strong in-platform system for flagging duplicates or enforcing schema standards.

Sampling and data limits in lower tiers: Some advanced analyses (like long lookback windows or custom formulas) require enterprise-level access, which can be restrictive for smaller teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
