We use Allscripts as our practice management platform. It has been a great product for our business. We have 11 offices and we use our in-house servers to run this platform. We have several components that integrate into Allscripts to pull data from their database. They have effective technical support. They have been very helpful during version upgrades, server migrations, addressing issues that may arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes their support team is slow to get back with you. They seem very compartmentalized, so you may have to deal with a few different people before you get a proper resolution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciated the features this program had. When you know the ins and outs of what the program is able to do, documenting and referencing information in the health record is quick. I particularly liked the templates that could be loaded onto the physical exams. There was also a very convenient notepad function that can float while you’re moving around within the application. Without instruction or having used this system before, it is very unintuitive. The interface is very cluttered and even though there are many icons, they are not always super useful or even efficient to help communicate what each button is for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the ease of finding things inside of this Electronic Health Record. I came from a hospital and used a different EHR and found it was easy for me to make the change Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that features such as faxing and secure emailing from the application don't always work as it should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to navigate, bug fixes happen often, good customer support, documents are readily available, well organized documents within the EHR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
New bugs with every upgrade, can’t easily copy and paste within a chart note, not common among other healthcare organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the vast amount of customization available. We are a dermatology practice and it works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The level of support isn't always that great. Their support staff is in India and the language barrier can be a hurdle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple to navigate. Able to see when the notes were generated by the nurse or coordinator. Able to see what documents were uploaded for fax to other companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Have to call my company's IT department to retrieve my password. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When filling scripts for over 100+ patients on a daily basis it can be hard to keep up while working in such a small pracrice. All scripts makes it do fast and easy to meet the need of every patient whether they need 1 filled or 100. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing. I have been using all scripts since May of 2017 and have fallen in love. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is the first e-prescribing software we have used in our office.
The convince for both staff and patients to not have to print and deliver scripts is a huge plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use this integrated with Dentrix dental software and there is some redundancy in recording allergies and existing meds that creates extra work with initial set up for each patient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The window tabs allow me to have multiple tabs open at a time. I can flip from scheduling an appointment, to submitting superbill, to looking at service inquiries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the constant password changes. We are a small office and do not need to change passwords so frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't really anything I could point out as the best. Granted im sure the version we used was old Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Way too many bugs. Not able to use alarms for patient needs such as yearly labs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Allscripts is a good for clinics who don't have access to more expensive (and better) EMRs provided by large hospital networks. Good chart creation, note writing, and orders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Notes take a bit longer than a more automated system (such as Epic), but still adequate for a small/private clinic setting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are many features and customization that are possible. It was for physician practices with the hospital. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is cumbersome, and with so many options many physicians quit trying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the color coded appointments, ability to transfer appointments easily, and the history tab that shows which user made changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The small appointment window, not being able to see a patient’s appointment history when you click on their current appointment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The program sections are extremely comprehensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The program is not as intuitive as one would like. The screens are busy and difficult to maneuver at times. Possible too many alerts (popups). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
