**What do you like best about ShipMonk?**

I love the ease of use of ShipMonk. Once logged into the portal, everything I need is on the main screen after finding an order. ShipMonk makes it simple to find package information and even allows me to cancel shipments early with just a click. The interface is simple to navigate and makes information easy to find. The initial setup was simple too; I was provided with login information, and there were no issues logging in or changing my information as needed.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

There's nothing I dislike about Shipmonk.

**What problems is ShipMonk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ShipMonk simplifies tracking shipments and finding package information. I quickly locate shipping data, even if customers forget to update addresses, and can cancel orders easily if needed. The interface is intuitive and straightforward.

**What do you like best about ShipMonk?**

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Ronald T. at Shipmonk's Fulfillment warehouse. Every time I ship my products, Ronald goes above and beyond to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

His quick response time and attention to detail are unmatched. Despite his busy schedule, he always makes time to personally oversee the handling of my company's shipments. His professionalism and polished approach make every interaction a positive experience.  He picks up the phone and CALLS and this is so rare nowadays.  He has always been eager to learn the nuances of our business and makes careful and considerate reconditions that has really impacted our customer service.

What truly sets Ronald apart is his kindness and caring attitude. He treats each shipment with the utmost care and ensures that everything arrives safely and on time. Knowing that I can rely on him for exceptional service gives me tremendous peace of mind as a business owner.

I am grateful to have Ronald as our Happiness Engineer. His dedication to excellence reflects positively on Shipmonk, and I couldn't be happier with the service he provides.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

Adding a sample or insert to each shipment is a challenging if you are using 2 or more warehouses.  (if you only have the insert at 1 of the 2 locations, it cannot work)  if 1 were to sell out, you cannot have the insert ADDED TO EVERY ORDER unless uniform to other warehouse....

**What problems is ShipMonk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They ship our products from thier MULTI-VENDOR warehouses.

**What do you like best about ShipMonk?**

I couldn't be happier with ShipMonk. Being a new startup with zero knowledge about integrating my on-line store, relaxedtravelers.com, with a fulfillment house, the folks at ShipMonk  really made me feel like I was their only client. My on-boarding specialist, Pascalle Arnold, was a study in patience, answering my questions quickly, and in detail. And, when I didn't get it, repeating the instructions again . . . and again . . . and again. She even took the time to do a Zoom meeting with me to put the final touches on my account.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

Nothing that I know of. Integrating an on-line business with a gigantic warehouse filled with thousands of products call for extreme attention to detail. The on-boarding process was, for me, very complicated; but mostly due to my lack of understanding. The ShipMonk team got me through it, however.

**What problems is ShipMonk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simply fulfilling the orders coming through my web site, relaxedtravelers.com, and my Amazon shopping cart.

- Drew, our happiness engineer, always there to save the day with his quick responses and genuine care. Whether I have a question or a hiccup in my shipments, Drew handles it like a pro. The platform is simple, intuitive, and packed with all the features I need to manage our logistics needs.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

Our experience with ShipMonk had its ups and downs, especially during their transition period last summer. However, since October, they've really stepped up their game and turned things around for the better. The efficiency we've experienced recently has been impressive.One area that still needs improvement is the receiving process. Occasionally, scheduling delivery appointments can be a bit challenging. It's something I hope they'll address to streamline the overall experience.

We've had Daniel as our 'happiness engineer'/ account manager and he's been great! Daniel's super responsive and helpful on emails and free to take our calls whenever we need him. He's so understanding to our business needs and willing to see how the Shipmonk team's operations can work the way we need them to.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

Making claims with couriers is our slowest progress with Shipmonk at the minute. We are struggling with making claims for missing items/ lost packages etc since these need to go through Shipmonk instead of directly with the courier. We are working with Daniel on this.

**What problems is ShipMonk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shipmonk are enabling us to serve US customers more efficiently and cost effectively.

The plateform is very well done, well organized, easy and a lot of options. Secong great point is to have one person dedicated to you and who take care of your account.  We are bulding a strong relationship with our new happiness Engineer Drew Dizon, he is very professional, helpfull and open to heard suggestions of improvement.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

When you open a case, you have to wait the agent reply, and you receive an automatically answer more a notification. In my point of view, only the notification should be set up.

Carrier issue, Shipmonk shows automatically the shipment at risk.

Since Shipmonk purchased the 3PL we initially began working with, operational performance and visibility on processes have greatly improved. Chris Brown is the spearhead of that improvement. Chris is attentive and responsive and treats our account like it's his own.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

Shipmonk could do a better job managing resources throughout the year. We are a large-volume client and have struggled to turn around large B2B orders. With that said, the Shipmonk team is aware and does what they can to support us and our business needs.

Shipmonk's rapid B2C shipping is outstanding. As a growing brand, we need to be sure our products land safely (and quickly) in our customer's hands - Shipmonk's system and operational excellence help us achieve that!

The customer service is exceptionally attentive. From the moment I began, they provided unparalleled guidance and support. The system is user-friendly, especially once you grasp its logic. Moreover, its integration with Shopify is flawless.

The only minus for me is inability to integrate inventory with QuickBooks.

I am a one-man show in the region, with ShipMonk I don't need extra staff to service shipments. Even if something goes wrong, they take care of it for me.

**What do you like best about ShipMonk?**

The new Ship Monk Portal is a huge improvement over the Deposco System. I like that there is more functionality that we can update on our end and the shipment status is much more transparent, allowing us to get ahead of missing shipments.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

It's taking months to get credits approved, which is our biggest issue currently. We had many issues with the Ruby Has Nevada location including getting overbilled for over 6 months, a large number of late shipments in late Q3 and most of Q4 2022 and poor follow through on issues and tickets. As soon as Joe was assigned as our account manager, we were able to start moving through the ongoing issues and we are getting back on track. He personally checks on our orders daily to make sure they are going out and reaches out to us whenever an issue comes up so we can resolve it immediately. If it weren't for Christine's help in Q4 and Joe's hard work to get us back on track, we would've left and gone to a new 3PL.

We have sent all fulfillment to Ship Monk and this has taken that entire warehousing and drop shipping piece away for us. Our business performance, in the eyes of our vendors, has gone down due to late orders but now that Ship Monk is transitioning the Nevada location over, things are starting to get better.

Their team is very detail oriented and patient. Setting up my account and going through the onboarding process was a breeze thanks to the ShipMonk team. Very competitive prices and convenient facility locations make ShipMonk the best choice I could have made for 3rd party fulfillment.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

There's not anything I'd complain about, but I will say there is a learning curve (like everything) to the UI and how to manage your account/shipments/inventory.

**What problems is ShipMonk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3rd Party Fulfillment for my ecommerce business. I sell products on various other websites including our own, and this funnels all of the shipment managing to one easy place.

Their outstanding professionalism and responsiveness provided a seamless integration with our company. They optimized our operations without compromising quality. The shipping price is very high and it should be the opposite as they are a big company and have better rates then anyone on the market that operats by themselves.

We wern't on time to ship all our orders and operations started to be to big and we couldn't handle it. It is now fulfilled on time and customers are super happy.

Having an account manager has been so nice in helping us smooth out the wrinkles of when we first started. Things have been so smooth thanks to them!

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

Was somewhat difficult getting setup with our unique way of packing orders. However they did adapt and got it down after several months.

Receivings, returns, custom packaging. Took some time but they really fit their procedures around how we needed them to operate.

**What do you like best about ShipMonk?**

Just connected my online store and sent my first batch of inventory to Shipmonk. Everything was smooth and onboarding was a breeze. Will update later to reflect my complete order fulfillment experience with them. What really stood out to me though was the customer service component. Chris Acevedo from the Onboarding team was the most helpful individual throughout my whole experience. It is refreshing to have a customer service member not only care about the issues you are facing, but take a step further to see to it that you and your businesses' needs are addressed. Chris personally advocated on our behalf to Shipmonks Returns Team to fully integrate our custom returns process with their system. He also helped us out EVERY step of the way with onboarding, answering all of our questions and personally navigating us through the process and pain points we stumbled on. I can say the genuine care, personal level of detail, and friendly assistance he provided is one of the main reasons I would recommend Shipmonk to anyone. Just like the old adage; you cant buy trust. Trust is earned over time. And due to Chris and Shipmonk's stellar support, this is the main reason why I choose to trust them with my business. Thanks Shipmonk Team!

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

Getting setup, the self service training and modules were pretty standard- the main trainings are nice however some side articles and topics are outdated and havent been updated to reflect their current version. Some areas such as returns are completely left out entirely for you to navigate. As a fairly tech savvy individual I would score overall ease of use a 75-80% (out of 100). Interface is nice, alot cleaner than Amazon FBA but their instructional guides are less detailed.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

Stay away, Shipmonk has been an headache for our business for the past year. 
We have been working with them for over 3 years. 
WE had to fulfilled some of our order after 3days SLA passed, they still charge for the minimum pick fee and never give you a credit for their mistake. 
They shipped wrong product to one of our distributors, with hand cream. it was so poor packed that everything was damaged and we were finned for wrong customs declarations. 
WE lost 10000 of dollars of products. second shipment destroyed by customs because of the first one.

We have been waiting for a wholesale order, it has been over 11 days, we have some presentation samples orders and we have to wait.

For the B2c Shipmonk has been taking over 3 days to fulfilled orders resulting in loss of customers and refunds. Yesterday one of my order was supposed to be fulfilled stil waiting......

When you complain, some of them are nice some others hung up on you or make you feel uncomfortable or send you a passive agressive email.

One thing they know it s to charge your credit card!

Not much, even their shipping process is slow and the people are extremely rude and only care about themselves.

Shipmonk lied to us about their outrageous minimum pick fees and will not stop charging my card!

I'm asking them to send back my inventory and they refuse.

I'm initiating a CHARGEBACK to their undisclosed fees for the full amount they charged me.

This is often the only way a horrible company like Shipmonk will respond to you when you take back money you were not supposed to pay!

STAY AWAY FROM SHIPMONK UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES!!!

**What do you like best about ShipMonk?**

Nothing, they are crazy high shipping and terrible customer service

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

Shipmonk has stupid high shipping. I have products that cost up to $100 to ship and they split it into two shipments AND charge the fulfillment fee for each. Which ends up being an additional $9. You will be paying the fulfillment fee monthly whether you ship the items or not. These fees are the same price as the storage fees so storage is double the price they say it is. Another thing about storage is that the allowable height of a pallet is on the lower side meaning they charge more than you can find elsewhere per pallet. 

When I started with them, they would reply to my emails and tickets within 24 hrs and now it takes them 4+ days. Many of the questions I ask them are for customers of mine (sometimes shipping delays and even not receiving). And then I often end up just giving my customers their money back While I wait for Shipmonk's reply.

I found a company that has cheaper storage (larger pallets for same monthly fee) plus they don't charge the additional fulfillment fees AND they don't have a minimum monthly order. (The storage is literally half the price) 

And a HUGE advantage of this new company is the amazingly lower shipping cost. This $100 Shipping cost plus $9 fulfillment fees through Shipmonk is now only costing me a total of $30 with this new company - that includes fulfillment! (Went from $109 to $30)

I unfortunately still have products in their warehouse and being charged a stupid amount. I have paid this other fulfillment company to pick them up. I will still need to pay Shipmonk a large amount on top of that for this other company to pick them up.

Do not go with Shipmonk!!!

Quick to answer the phone. But quite a pointless benefit if all you hear are platitudes and lies.

Where to start.

Our inventory had been shipped to Shipmonk without SKUs, which is entirely OUR fault. Shipmonk would need to create a special project to separate our goods. We sent them a detailed spreadsheet showing which pieces have which SKU. This was sent to our account manager on a Tuesday. By Thursday he told us this project would be completed by the weekend and we were good to go to launch our store. We opened on Saturday with several sales.

On Monday our account dashboard still showed no stock so I called Shipmonk. Not only had our spreadsheet not been sent to the warehouse, the special project had not even been started. Completely contrary to the promise that it would have been finished two days previously. Our account manager was on vacation and the person covering assured us the project would be underway straight away.

On Tuesday, three days after getting our first sales, there is still no inventory showing. I called and discovered that the project had still not been started and would probably take several days to complete. At this point I had lost all confidence in Shipmonk and asked them to stop the receiving project and we’d arrange collection of our goods.

Some inventory did then show – one box of dresses and two boxes of trousers had been unpacked. The special project fee for this was over $300. If we had continued to let our goods be unpacked the project fee would have been in excess of $3000!

This all happened in March 2021. It is now November and they still have our dresses and trousers. It seems Shipmonk requires customers to sign a closing contract, one clause of which, is to not leave any disparaging reviews of them. I have never in my life been asked to sign a contract to end a relationship, let alone one that stops customers from reporting the truth. For the past six months we have been emailing back and forth trying to get our goods released. They finally relented on charging us storage fees (apparently they kept the trousers and dresses in their fulfilment storage areas all this time – not at our request), but still insist on us signing a contract. At the risk of losing our goods we need to warn people not to deal with this company. 

We noticed several other issues that would have caused problems had we actually used their service. As part of our product receiving we supplied weights and sizes for our pieces for shipment fee calculation. On our shipmonk dashboard many of our pieces were showing as double the postage price that we calculated using Shipmonk’s sales pack that contains their zones and rates. When I queried this it seems they use something called volume weight which is not mentioned in the sales brochures and would have doubled the postage cost for several of our pieces. We currently use USPS and pay less than what we had originally expected to pay with Shipmonk. This is nothing more than hidden fees, which is a common theme if you read other customer’s reviews. 

This is just a snapshot of the nightmare we’ve had with this company. There are far far better alternatives out there. Use them.

**What do you like best about ShipMonk?**

Their technology platform, which is what tricks most people (including investors it seems) into thinking they'll be good to work with. Unfortunately it's just for show and is never accurate.

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

EVERYTHING. We used them for a little over a year and they almost put us out of business several times. It got so bad we had to enlist a lawyer just to get them to refund us for:
- damaged items
- lost items 
- incorrectly fulfilled items (we sell children's toys & furniture, and our customers were receiving things like drink mixes and a wall clock)
- items sent so late (some 2 months late) customers refused them

Unfortunately due to their iron-clad contract we had no hope of re-couping costs for the $15K in orders our wholesale distributor refused to pay us for (orders that were placed in Oct of 2020 that in some cases did not get delivered until January 2021) due to ours and our distributor's customer service team being unable to keep up with all of the issues Shipmonk was causing.

They constantly blamed issues on carriers during peak seasons, but we were also shipping items from our own local warehouse, and rarely had any major carrier-related issues aside from delays which were clearly shown on tracking. Shipmonk had dozens of orders that showed no tracking, which they blamed on carriers "not scanning due to high volume" but they assured us we'd eventually see tracking for (and we never did). Shipments WE sent out at the same time from our own local warehouse were slightly delayed but still arrived to customers in a reasonable time period. Packages that ended up lost through Shipmonk, they assumed no responsibility for, and we couldn't file claims for because those packages were never scanned by carriers - but conveniently marked as "shipped" in the Shipmonk dashboard. 

They ripped all of the tops off of our "slap a label" packages (meaning, our items are custom sized so already are in their shipping boxes, all that's needed is for them to "slap a label" on them - which they charge $2.50 for) and could not order new boxes for us in a timely manner, causing all of the inventory they damaged in October of 2020 to be un-sellable during the holiday season. Between October of 2020 and December of 2020 they could not find the time to order new boxes for us, to confirm the number of boxes that were damaged, or to even take a photo of the area they kept our items in. 

No one in their customer service team, including all of the team leads, were located in an actual warehouse location (during our time with them, everyone was in Florida while our products were warehoused San Bernardino) - so we could never get any questions answered, just kept getting the runaround while they attempted to get answers to extremely simple questions. 

After they left us with no choice but to lawyer up - they proceeded to gaslight us and claim we were the source of the problem. Luckily I recorded every single email and interaction, and they changed their tune from not wanting to pay us at all, to offering to pay for SOME of the damages they caused. When I requested they pay for 100% of the damages (literally a difference of $1500) they said yes, but only if we signed an NDA to not talk about them negatively. I refused, because there was no way I was going to be prevented from sharing my experiences to potentially save other small businesses from getting destroyed by them. THEN, they offered us $10K to sign the NDA (in credit) - I refused again, because I wasn't going to be bought and we never received any sort of settlement that would even require an NDA, we were simply PARTIALLY reimbursed for damages they caused. When I refused, they then took back the additional $1500 they offered, but at that point I didn't even care. We still had to stay with them for another few months to fully sell the rest of our inventory, as it wasn't worth the additional fees they'd charge for "special projects" when we only had a little inventory left there. Of course in this period they shipped our orders in a somewhat reasonable time (still 3 days to pack), but it was still slow and there were still incorrect orders.

Since we left them in January of 2022, things have improved by 1000000%. Because we're now partnered with 3PLs who are not perfect but obviously care about their customers, are willing to commit to a 24-48 hour ship time (Shipmonk never shipped our items in shorter than 3 days, and blamed it on our items being too "large" and difficult to store, even though I'd specifically mentioned the size of our items before we signed up with them and the sales people said it wouldn't be a problem). With Shipmonk, we had issues DAILY. I had several emotional breakdowns because of the dozens of customers we had to constantly update, who repeatedly accused us of lying because we could never get a straight answer to give them from Shipmonk. Now, we have TINY issues once a month at most - that are quickly resolved by people who know what they're doing. 

Take note of all of their positive reviews and that those people are either - suspiciously positive or unverified, OR, left by larger well-known brands, who they obviously prioritize for validation/to acquire more customers. Meanwhile, they treat smaller businesses like dirt knowing we don't have the resources or platform to fight back. 

I may be a nobody, and still the CEO of a tiny business, but I promised Shipmonk back when I was a customer that I'd make sure I told ANYONE and EVERYONE about my horrible experience. And I'm making good on that promise now. It took me almost a year to recover from it before I wanted to talk about it, but I'm ready now, and luckily - there's no NDA to stop me. 

**Please note that this is just a TINY part of my experience, I don't have the energy to share every last detail but don't let them fool you into thinking any of this was an anomaly. Just search in google past page 2 or 3 and you'll find a TON of other business owners whose businesses have been destroyed by them, and have been obscured by the hundreds of positive reviews I can only assume they bought, forced or faked.

**What do you like best about ShipMonk?**

I loved that they had a shopify app/extension that made it easy to fulfill orders 

**What do you dislike about ShipMonk?**

The custom kitting/special project service they offer didn't come to fruition as planned and promised as it was in the sales cycle.

**Recommendations to others considering ShipMonk:**

Only use this for fulfillment for a Shopify store, don't try to make it something its not.

**What problems is ShipMonk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need an efficient way to send customers gifts and auto the process.
