Miro Reviews & Product Details

Miro has several benefits that I both utilise or have engaged with. First I utilise miro to plan out my quarters work. Currently, I work in an agile way of working where our quarters are broken down into 2 week sprints. THis requires a lot of pre planning sessions where we use Miro to plot our initiatives and how we will achieve them. I likely use Miro at least weekly however have often used it daily. Generally Miro is easy to implement into our processes. Since using Miro it has gone through several updaes. Initially I was not a fan of the system however it has greatly improved and has become a useful tool in my arsenal. I have not had to experience using the customer support so cannot comment on this, however this in itself would be a testement to Miro's reliability. The software is also easy to integrate via the useful AI tools. I have used this to plot out flow charts whcih has saved time and eliminated the tedious work of plotting out the arrows and boxes. My main dislike about miro is some of the mouse inputs. Having to use the right hand button rather the initiutive left to click and drag takes some time to readjust too. This does not majorly disprute my work however is an annoyance as this goes against most other conventional input controls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Miro is flexible and easy to use. I appreciate that you can collaborate with others right away, without needing to give everyone an introduction or a "how-to" guide first. At times, it can feel overwhelming, especially if you have managed many boards and collaborations. Getting a clear overview isn't always straightforward, and sharing boards with other users can be a bit challenging since the share button is somewhat hidden. I am someone who loves to jot down ideas regularly. I have tried other softwares too but I just got stuck with miro. The UI is clutter free, I dont seeing too many options here and there, it hampers my work. The ability of having everything on a single platform, from tables to flows to docs. I never used Kanban, I didnt get the purpose of that. Miro is more like a planning and mapping tool for me. Kanban I have used in Notion and other apps. Other than that Slides is something which I dont want personally, I dont use it anyways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A few things I dislike about Miro—especially once you use it a lot:

Performance on large boards

Big, long-lived boards can get sluggish. Scrolling, zooming, or selecting objects sometimes lags, which breaks flow during live sessions.

Board sprawl and discoverability

Important content can get “lost in the canvas.” Without strict discipline, boards turn into junk drawers that are hard to navigate later.

Permission and sharing complexity

Sharing settings aren’t always intuitive, and it’s easy to accidentally give too much (or too little) access—especially across teams or external collaborators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The mind-map feature has capacity that is best in class for this function and this alone is worth the subscription. The Card Block feature allows tagging, linking and opens up to a notepad of contents. These two features alone allow us to do rapid development and deployment of software. The flexibility it offers to take content further. Ease of use. AI to help with getting more out of it. Love that I can also paste in work I have done in mural into miro and it picks it up and I can keep building. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of the templates they offer are built by ai and are not as functional as one would think. You can't break some things apart largely because they did not think about the reuse of the solution. I had to go to another tool, build and grab what I needed, and bring it back into Miro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Miro has been an excellent tool for our team. We implemented is usage with ease and use on a daily basis. Miro is how easy it is for multiple team members to collaborate in one place while keeping everything organized. The board allows us to clearly track programs, staff, open shifts, onboarding and internal transfers in real time, which improves communication and visibility across the team. Miro is user-friendly and offers great fe3atures that support collaboration and efficiency. It has become a valuable resource for keeping everyone aligned and ensuring nothing getting missed. What I dislike about Miro is that to see details clearly, you often have to zoom in, which then cuts off other parts of the board and forces you to move around the screen to view everything. This can make it harder to get a quick, full-picture view of the board at once. Additionally, the inability to easily print the full board is a limitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that my Miro board is saved, so when I log in even after a few months or a year, I can still see my past work. It keeps a record of everything I've done, making it interesting. This feature is great because if I'm working on a new design, I can refer back to my previous work and take some ideas from it, which helps to make my work more swift. One thing that I feel is lacking is Miro could have a text prompt or an AI prompt wherein you could just give a prompt and Miro would make the wireframes for you. You don't have to specifically or manually drag and drop the things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Templates make things quite easy for me when I don’t feel like creating them from scratch. I also use it for real time collaboration with others and I no longer send each other attachments via email as if we’re insane. I’m pleasantly surprised it worked w/o crashing when I moved my excel data into the template for an org chart and you can also add pics from the internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Snap To" is garbage and it always puts everything in 90 degree angles that I don’t want. I really wish I could hide those ugly connector lines behind pictures and they never go behind anything. And it is also expensive to subscribe to it and the auto arrange ruins every single layout and I have to redo every layout manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When I first found Miro, it was because I wanted a tool where I could draw out my chain of thoughts or architecture (I'm a software engineer, by the way) where sometimes I would need to go from a big idea and zoom in, and zoom in into the little ideas, like an infinite scroll, so that's one of my main strong points about it, even though it's not infinite. Collaboration is the second main reason to choose it. I use it not only to share thoughts and architecture with my team, but also a lot for training and workshops where I am the teacher, where even people with no previous experience can jump in right away.
