8x8 is our main phone system which we use for crucial business functions such as sales team, call centre and other helplines.

We also use it as a collaborative Video Conferencing solution.

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

The flexibility of the VO platform and routing of phone numbers, ring groups and call queues.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The soft clients call quality can be sporadic unless you have a next generation firewall where you can prioritise soft clients traffic at application level.

Use with a reliable 8x8 partner to ensure you have the support required on a daily basis.

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

This app is super easy to use. I will always love the fact that an app is FREE. It's another bonus when something is FREE and still fully functioning. I love the featurs that are offered as well.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Anyone has access to it. I got placed into a wrong meeting and was so confused. The people were speaking in a different language. I dont like how they make it hard to reach out to the developers for help with the app.

**Recommendations to others considering 8x8 Work:**

This is an excellent app if you don't want to consider zoom. I would recommend only using this app on a desktop because if you are using an iPad, it would only look normal in landscape mode.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The amount of people you can have during a meeting is good. 100 people is a reasonable amount for a person to facilitate a meeting. The quality of the volume when people are talking is great. I know zoom seems to mess up when everyone is showing their video.

We previously had physical phones in the office. It's nice answering work calls while on the road or out of the office. The extra features are also a bonus.

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I really like the recording feature. It's helpful to reference past calls if needed. I wish there was an easier way to trigger this feature but I haven't used it for very long yet.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Changing your status is hard to remember. It would be nice to have a pop up reminder to change your status when closing the program on your computer. It's not fun getting a phone call while you're off work.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously we were unable to transfer calls to other people in the office. The video call feature is also helpful internally. The switch to 8x8 has saved all of us a lot of time.

This softphone for laptop and mobile has the ability to text, voicemail from both, and the setup and learn was less than 20 mins.

It had everything I needed, I'm sorry I didn't discover this sooner.

Don't delay in your purchase, it will make your work so much easier and on your work schedule.  You can program your availability into the phone.

The texting capability.  I can type faster on a laptop than I can from my cell phone.

Like 8x8 work app, it's straight forward and easy to you... 
Admin portal could be confusing initially but once you get to know where things are and you get used to it ... it's not bad

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Customer support could take forever and their support chat is really slow... I prefer to call the 800 support line to talk to somebody
I would say overall it's ok but could be better

Don't know how to answer this question... but generally speaking... 8x8 has too many options and it could be confusing but once you get to know it and use it it will be fine

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

Having the app on my phone and being able to answer it anywhere is a good feature when it works properly. Also having it on my computer is good to have when I'm in a private location.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I don't really like it because we've been having lots of issues with reception even with a strong signal, hardware becoming unresponsive, the setup, the number of passwords needed.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've had lots of equipment issues and some of them haven't been resolved and we've spent hours on the phone with customer support. We've also had a bad experience all the around with the fax feature. Both sending and receiving.

**Describe the project or task 8x8 Work helped with:**

8x8 is the solution we picked for a VOIP phone service.  We use all aspects of it as well.  We have desk "hard" phones, softphones using the 8x8 Work app on the PC, and even the mobile app on iPhones specifically.  We can connect our entire workforce and have a convenient directory that's easy to browse so you can connect with everyone.

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like the ease of use as it's a program and service that I feel everyone can use.  I'm in IT, so these things come easy to me.  Some users are not very computer literate and can use the 8x8 Work application and the traditional desk phones with ease.  It works with the Polycom handsets we have and seamlessly transfers the calls from the Work app to the handset or vice versa.  I also like the training videos that 8x8 has to offer.  They are a great resource that I can refer end users to in order to get the help that they need.  I'm able to help people help themselves which is very important to me.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The only thing that I dislike about 8x8 is how the Polycom handset talks to the 8x8 software.  If I look at my desk phone it's currently displaying 55 missed calls. This is simply not the case.  I have the 8x8 mobile app on my iPhone, and I answer most of the calls there.  For every call that I answer via the mobile app, it counts as a missed call on my desk phone, even if it's answered immediately.

**Recommendations to others considering 8x8 Work:**

There are many providers of VOIP solutions today.  8x8 is one of the best ones out there; they provide excellent value for the money you spend.  The integrations they have on the PC and mobile app work amazingly well.  I would give them a chance you will find that they like it and the support is always on time and fast.  The apps are updated regularly, too which is vitally important.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solved the problem of not having a unified communications solution.  Before, we had a typical phone system that was stand-alone and didn't have any integration at all into the cell phones or PC's.  This integration s very important and a great benefit.  You can answer and take calls via any method, and the mobile app lets you do it away from your desk.  Gone are the days of having to forward your desk phone while your away.  I just answer the calls as they come on my cell phone via the 8x8 mobile app.

Using the post call survey and the site is very user friendly.

There are a lot of updates, which causes frequent restarting of the 8x8 app and computer. 
Try and combine more updates together rather than many separately.

I'm still figuring out how to properly forward calls from an extension that is no longer in use but continues to get inbound calls.

It is easy to use, and can be accessed by any device like phone, tablet, laptop, desktop.
The best part is that there is a feature available in it which you can use to blur your background or add a photo to your background easily.
Provides a good audio and video quality.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

There is nothing that I dislike about it, as i am using it almost daily for vedio conferencing in my company, and my experience is good in using it.

If you are looking for a video conferencing or meeting application for your company with good audio and vedio qaulity than it is is perfect for you. It is user friendly and and will be beneficial for your company.

The most important benefit of using it is that multiple attendees in the meeting can share their screen at same time.
It allows you to record video, audio, screen you can share it to your teammates or colleagues for future use.
It helped me a lot for conducting video conferences in my organization, specially in this pendamic situation when every one is working from their home.

The IVR script builder is missing basic QOL changes and troubleshooting falls on the end user because their engineers seem unfamiliar with their own platform.

The dashboard is weak. Needs constant refreshing. Does not display who is available only those that are on calls.

The transfer features making sending calls to other coworkers very convenient.

The phones being internet based because when the internet goes down we lose service or if the internet is wonky, our calls can be spotty.

It is a bit cheaper than having to pay for numerous land linds from another phone provider. I like the benefit of leasing the equipment.

I like that I can talk to my pals and do other things that need speaking. It's also incredibly safe. It's simple to type in the search bar. Also, connecting to different servers/countries is simple.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The meetings can be a little sluggish at times, and it can be challenging to know where to begin a topic. It can be perplexing for someone unfamiliar with the concept of websites.

**Recommendations to others considering 8x8 Work:**

Yes, I recommend other users use 8x8 if possible, but now you have to buy 8x8 pro to continue.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After knowing about it and what to do, things aren't too tricky. I'm still not sure if you can use VPN to communicate with others, but it's not a big deal. The servers are a little challenging to grasp.

It is by far the best platform to host and arrnage meetings for personal and for business use at the same time. It has a good user friendliness. Loved the GUI of it.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

It need some minor changes in it such as the appearance on the home page and some direct buttons through which we can directly connect to the various services that they offer.

Hosting meetings is very easy and very fast. It gives us reliability and comfortable GUI which makes the platform much more usable by both students and professionals.

8x8 provides a software for video conferencing widely known as jitsi available at meet.jit.si Initially we were using free version, free version is also good for basic users, but paid one comes with great support and scalibility options!

Just in case if they can increase number of participants per meeting then it would be far better and good for all of us in education community and all its stakeholders.

We're providing 8x8 solutions to our own clients, after integrating it's services in our own softwares, people are really liking it because of its design, it's like google meet!

Cloud and app-based with several useful business features that can scale to a variety of businesses from small to large.

My first and only experience with customer support was poor.  My voicemail didn't work and I didn't receive any follow-up or updates, even after calling back on three separate days.  They promised to call twice but didn't.

Having an affordable and flexible feature-rich cloud and app-based platform that can grow with my business.

This product is so easy to setup and use. 8x8 makes it simple to manage and buildout an auto attendant for more than one firm name. The setup of users, extensions and phones is easy

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The update of the desktop app is not as simple as it should be. The updates happen nearly monthly after a determined time period the older versions do not work.

A cloud based PBX allows our firm to use VOIP phones, whether a soft phone or a physical phone and is capable of redirecting calls to external numbers if their is no internet connectivity.

I never have time for fixing tech problems--so I always dread a tech call. Their rep made it less painful.

Their tech support will take the time needed to get you back online, regardless of the issue.

My phone would no longer connect. The rep took the time to call me back to find the solution that would work for me. I am now able to connect with clients and peers.

Their chat tool seemed to be down for a while, which is inconvenient.  I mostly like to resolve issues via chat if possible to avoid any misunderstandings or confusion over language or accent barriers.

They have made extensions, routing, voicemail very easy for a small office.  It is a very convenient and affordable solution for our 2-person front office.

That the application does not limit you if you use their free plan though they also offer a paid plan; It is also unlimited video meetings with the ability to add on your calendar. :)

Maybe just the interface of the application, possibly needs a little improvement, most especially the admin window setting where it is a little difficult to add employees from the same business on my account.

The administration settings - I always have to manually add the employees from the same account one by one, this part needs to be solved. But that doesn't really make it less of a video conferencing app.

Being able to answer calls and send customers text messages both on the PC app as well as the phone app is very helpful and easy to use. Especially during quick changes during Covid times, I was able to work at home when needed and it always felt and work just the same as I was at the office.

8x8 has a clean and easy to use interface. The reliability seems higher than its competitors, and I was more pleased with 8x8 verses a similar company I used to use.

I think there are some complexities to the desktop app that could be cleaned up to make the user experience easier. I had some issues with using a Bluetooth device with 8x8 but that bug may have been fixed.

Fairly flexible, easy to setup, allowed me to bring my own equipment. 

It just works with little hassle. I am not a formal IT person but was able to get it up and running relatively quickly. Easy to manage from the internet interface.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Pricing is low, but I think it can be better. There are rare occasions where calls go to voicemail instead of being routed thru the devices, even though I have an 8 -line hunt group to devices that are always on. No calls should ever go to voicemail.

Call quality is decent most of the time. Not sure if the clarity issues are due to our bandwidth or incoming call quality.

Confirm that the routing can be done by yourself or needs to be completed by tech support. 

Also confirm you have  adequate back up systems.

Allowed me to create a very cost-effective and efficient call routing network that was super customized to our very unique needs. Significant cost savings, with decent reliability.

My agent called me back even after not being able to get a hold of me; at the end of the workday he called again and made sure that he helped completely resolve my issue.

I was unsure of the site "myhelpscreen" and how legitimate that it was, but the agent was thorough and asked me questions to figure out what the issue was, and guided me step by step on how to fix the process.

I solved a hardware issue with how the phone was set up to the computer, I learned how to reset the password and also the IP address when there are connectivity issues.
