Its simplicity is a strength. Its constraints help the learning designer to focus on the most important content on each slide. It offers some great features: - Mini podcast audio slides that last up to 60 seconds. These are nice for elaborating on content and breaking up reading. - AI-powered audio with video. Type a script and let the AI character speak your script aloud. - Easy content formatting: Each slide constrains the text so it's readable and good to go for mobile. This is a great tool in the Learning Designers tool belt. It won't replace superb authoring tools like Evolve Authoring or the Rise 360 collection, but it's a learner-centered option for enablement, quick bite-sized training, and even just for fun. **What do you dislike about 7taps Microlearning?** To be a true LMS or complete learning replacement, it will need more robust designing, analytics, and reporting features. Currently, the "Statistics" section gives basic stats on Opens and Completions for your activity. If you were a business using 7taps for employee training, you would have to pay for 7taps Pro to enable user-level analytics. The Pro version Statistics will help if you are a manager who wants to track completions, but I don't see a way in their documentation to segment users based on their roles (could be wrong here). For the K-12 market, 7taps is way too expensive for a classroom teacher. They could use the limited free version for presentations or sharing through an LMS, but tracking completion for students would not be possible. As a learning designer, its use case is limited to quick micro-learning opportunities. Your client or company would need an LMS or way of hosting 7taps content to make them connect in a logical format. For companies looking for a complete package, I'd look at learning platforms like Intellum who include learning activities and the platform to host them. **Recommendations to others considering 7taps Microlearning:** Play with it and experiment! In other words, they chose features and limitations that ensure you can focus on your message without worrying about unnecessary stuff. It just works, and it works well. I was not a fan of microlearning at first. I tried out 7taps to see what it could do, not expecting much. The authoring experience and the results I achieved on the first try convinced me to create more. I've already thought of several different applications. That said, you can deliver seemingly simple content in a really powerful and engaging way (eg. constructive obstacles, the use of emojis, gifs to convey messages). Best of all there is a free for life **What do you dislike about 7taps Microlearning?** There is not enough incentive to use the paid version - the pricing is a huge jump and this is NO substitute for other tools, it's an essential tool for the continuity and returning to messages and internal comms, but the cost is in addition to your other software/subscriptions.
