I also love that the 7Taps team is continuously evolving based on feedback that they intentionally seek out from the user community. Improvements have and continue to be made because of the feedback and I truly appreciate this. **What do you dislike about 7taps Microlearning?** I really appreciate how the app offers the capability for gifs to be added to courses. These make courses relatable and fun! Sometimes when I search for a gif, I receive a few inappropriate results/imagery that I could never apply to professional courses. It would be nice if there was a way to provide an option to filter results to ensure what is provided. Another recommendation would be the closed captioning, I applaud the 7Taps team for making accessibility a priority. I notice that when an apply pauses, all of the characters are included in the CC which can be distracting. I wish there was a way to apply CC without the symbols for pauses, so the reader can read the captions without the extra characters. **Recommendations to others considering 7taps Microlearning:** 7Taps is a great tool to use in the right context. Like any tool, proper analysis must be done to ensure the tool is the right vehicle in pursuit of a desired outcome, but where appropriate this tool is amazing! Even being able to share more than one course at a time. I'm using the program as part of a pitch for an Instructional Design role and it would be nice to be able to have at least one other course available to share with the decision makers. They work really well at the end of segments of text or as an opening to a new chapter. I found the available layouts to be an excellent selection, especially in the colour range. I could find a very simple but visually appealing colour palate easily and it was great that I was able compare the colours before changing the actual layout. The fact that it could be changed at any time, without disrupting the current content was a big plus too. The simplicity of the overal 7Taps interface was of a big appeal to me. It was intuitive and easy to create new courses, and making them live was a simple process. **What do you dislike about 7taps Microlearning?** I would have liked an option to reduce text size and change the fonts. The text was quite large and so very limited on the detail I could put onto one page. I often had to split information across 2 pages. Being able to rescale the gif sizes would have been great too. They often had fixed sizes that would take up a whole page or only leave enough space for a few words of text. They also stretched a bit too much across the page, so an option to custom resize the gifs and uploaded images would make the overal visuals much better. On the course creation page, having all of the template courses in the same place as your own ones did seem a little confusing at the beginning, when first using the software. Perhaps having those in a separate folder would make the layout easier for new users. **Recommendations to others considering 7taps Microlearning:** Keep your teaching to bullet points or very short sentences. It helps with the visual layout. Definitely include gifs go make it more friendly and incorporate photos if you have them. Lastly add a call to action for people to implement the knowledge afterwards. **What problems is 7taps Microlearning solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest benefit was the quick, digestible learning that it provided. I used it to make both a guide for my gaming community, to help members understand how to use it efficiently, and also as a lead magnet for my community, to help potential members join events. With the lead magnet, I was able to create a super simple signup for gaming events and educate people on what to do/expect when they signed up. It also allowed me to reach a wider audience, because I could post the link on social media very easily and it looked professional. I run a small but growing site dedicated to basketball. My goal is to create a series of courses our new contributors have to complete before posting. I ran a computer training and consulting business for eight years before starting thePeachBasket, so I have a passion for training and wanted to create content that was fun, informative, and innovative. After looking through every LMS option for WordPress, I stumbled upon 7taps, and after 30 minutes in, well, Wow! What I like best is how intuitive the platform is. I was able to get started immediately. They offer templates and tutorials that I used after creating my content to ensure I didn't miss out on any hidden function or tool. As it turned out, I didn't miss a thing. The application is that easy to use! A close second in the "What I like best" category is the video AI feature. The "Wow" factor on that feature alone is off the charts! Every other LMS tool I evaluated was cumbersome in comparison. With 7taps, I didn't need to install anything or spend hours figuring out how to make it work. I just created an account and got to work. **What do you dislike about 7taps Microlearning?** Dislike is not the right word, but I am disappointed that the only paid tier is $99 a month. As a small site, we do not generate enough income to justify that cost. I suggested the team at 7taps create additional paid-tier options in the $25 range, if possible. The free tier offers more than enough to do what I need, but I wouldn't mind paying for additional functionality. **Recommendations to others considering 7taps Microlearning:** I picked 7taps because it was easy to use, did not require a plugin to WordPress, and provided the tools I needed to create fantastic content. If those things are important to you, then I would enthusiastically recommend considering 7taps! **What problems is 7taps Microlearning solving and how is that benefiting you?** We onboard new contributors to our site often. Before using 7taps, I trained them via a single email. That process worked fine, but it wasn't ideal. On top of it not being complete training, it didn't create excitement at joining our team. While I have not yet provided the new training to our team, I am confident that the content created with 7taps will be exhaustive, exciting, informative, and innovative. In short, 7taps checked every box and then some! As for benefits, well, the jury is still out. I like the content, but the only opinion that matters is that of our contributors.
