We use this software on our floor and in our Quality Department everyday and it has been a very beneficial add to our company. **What do you dislike about 1factory?** No issues to date. Our timeline to implement was extremely tight and they worked tirelessly to help us hit our targets. The level of communication we received from 1factory was some of the best I have ever seen! They scheduled weekly reviews, sent action sheets out after each meeting and were available whenever a call was needed. Simply put, the entire team was pleasant to work with. This saves our lot of time of preparation of reports & concentrate on Quality inspection activities. We have some complex requirements like different stages of inspection, different parameters as per inspection stages & different sampling plans for different parameters and inspection stages. All this managed to incorporate in 1factoy software easily. All our inspection plans, measuring methods, sampling criteria etc. remain as it is. ### 12. The ability to add Mfg & Inspection Plans allows for consistent data input & automated inspection with the ability to graphically view trends & overall capability analyses. The report output also adds to the reduction of "transfer of information" errors and contains all information in a common repository for easy retrieval of both current and historical data. The ability to output FAI reporting data with automated linkage to drawings is an additional strength that has been helpful over the past few years of use. **What do you dislike about 1factory?** The linkage of the customer's part number to our own internal part number doesn't seem to allow search of part number through the use of the internal part number which is actually used more than the customer's part number. **What problems is 1factory solving and how is that benefiting you?** FAI reports are easier to manage. Data transfer errors are reduced for inspection reports. Data that is out of spec for an actual OOS condition, or for keying errors is immediately identifiable. One of the most useful features is the Master Gage library, this can set up reminders for calibration, calibration history, serial numbers, attachments and practically anything to manage complex environments like ours with many hand gauges, tools and equipment. It gives you easy to understand color coded warnings to alert you that some of your gages and equipment are due for calibration. Plus it has built-in sorting capabilities to easily find the record that you are looking for, you can download your entire library and edit it through a spreadsheet and re upload it with all the changes saved. **What do you dislike about 1factory?** All of the things that we have had issues with have been solved very quickly with Nipun's help, even the little problems that we have had sometimes have been solved just by knowing the way the software works and the language it understands. **Recommendations to others considering 1factory:** 1factory is a great software! It comes with full SPC capabilities, the inspection reports are made in one click, their gage management module makes it very easy to keep track of all your equipment. Most of all, it is easy to implement, it is not intimidating for new users so it makes people want to use it! **What problems is 1factory solving and how is that benefiting you?** The way that we were tracking internal audits and findings was not the best, we struggled for some time trying to find the best way to not only create and maintain the records but also collaborating in the improvement process after a decision on how to approach the root cause of the problem. Their audit module is very complete it has two different templates of keeping audit records (basic and 8D). 1Factory made it easy to share your thoughts, comments, findings with your team and even assign tasks from each record, their 8D approach makes it easy to train new internal auditors in completing the audit, creating and filing their reports. Everything is saved automatically online so there is never a risk of loosing your information. With this, we can do tool modifications before we run any bad parts. Dimensional data input is quick & easy. **What do you dislike about 1factory?** The most difficult area of 1factory is getting our csv data to import correctly. However, once we get the initial program complete, it is pretty much seamless thereafter. **Recommendations to others considering 1factory:** Please continue to make it easier importing csv files generated from PC-DMIS into 1factory. **What problems is 1factory solving and how is that benefiting you?** We purchased 1factory for the cpk reports it could generate for us at the end of each production run. Now, at the end of each run, we save the reports & send them any time our customer requests to see a cpk study on certain dimensions. The main benefit with 1factory is having a quick and easy way to import dimensions and the ability to see if anything in our process needs to be tweaked during or after our production run. ### 15. This software really simplifies the inspection process. It allows you to create inspection plans in a short amount of time. This includes creating a ballooned drawing where every dimension is conditionally formatted. The software also has a built in calibration log which reminds you when your calibrations are due.Once you have an inspection plan, you can easily create a fully comprehensive inspection package. We have great plans for using this tool to drive a higher degree of risk management with our high risk parts and suppliers. **What do you dislike about 1factory?** Sometimes the lack of customization can be an issue, but whenever there is a feature or function that is truly needed by my team, the 1Factory team is helpful in both working through those needs and delivering a solution. **Recommendations to others considering 1factory:** The tool delivers on it's promise. To make it truly successful there needs to be an organizational strategy around the concept of cloud based supplier quality management, and internal champions to drive the implementation and deployment. **What problems is 1factory solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the problem of stale and dusty control plans, and lack of supplier monitoring of quality data. To date we have found issues with measurement resolution on key features, and we use this data to drive discussion and improvement from the supplier. We have also found cases where the distribution of data suggests abnormal processing (scrap, rework, fine tuning), and our team can dig on those issues before they become a problem that impacts revenue. ### 18. The initial setup was far less complicated than we had imagined as well. **What do you dislike about 1factory?** The only critique I may have is that there could be more ways to hold up an inspection entry from being passed through for review if it is missing dimensions. This is almost always caught in review, though, so not a huge deal. **What problems is 1factory solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paper inspections that were hard to read and cumbersome to fill out are all gone now. It's quicker and more efficient in general. PPAPs are easier. All inspectors were trained within one business day, which helps with the transition from a previously used software to 1factory. As a QE the reporting side is my favorite tool that 1factory has. Before 1factory it would take a couple of days to gather all the information needed to present to the board once a month. Now with 1factory the reports make themselves, just make sure you are filling in all the required information. MSA uses the NCR charts to attack areas that need attention, whether it be supplier defects or reoccurring shop floor defects. This drives Corrective Action, which 1factory also as superb CAPA module that has a task management side to drive actions with dates! The time it used to take me to write inspections plans is cut down tremendously with being able to click on dimensions and setting frequencies to check said dimensions at. This also takes the human error out of it when looking at drawing with 50+ dimensions. Another plus is the visibility, everyone that has a seat on the software can see tasks, PPM's (Internally & externally) & supplier performance. Another plus was the customization that Nipun and his team provide. They are always striving to make this software even greater than it already is. Since we have started around a year ago our wish for Gage management, Audit findings & Approved Vendor list has been achieved and is live. Nipun and his team are always available to work through any issues we have had and they have came up with a plan to work out any issues we have had. Which is not much. **What do you dislike about 1factory?** I honestly cannot say I dislike anything about this software. It has been night and day compared to what I was working with prior to 1 factory. Nipun and his team are working towards new additions to the software that we have requested and it seems like the sky is the limit with them. **Recommendations to others considering 1factory:** I would consider anyone looking for a QMS software to try this out. **What problems is 1factory solving and how is that benefiting you?** This software has solved the problem with preparing long inspections plans, that are open to human error.
