BlueKaktus Sourcing Solution

About BlueKaktus Neo BlueKaktus Neo is an AI-native sourcing and PLM platform for fashion brands and retailers that buy from a vendor base they do not own. Apparel sourcing normally runs as a chain of handoffs — buyer to designer to sourcing to vendor to mill to quality — and every handoff waits on somebody's inbox. Neo replaces that chain with one live record every function works from at the same time. Who is BlueKaktus Neo best for? Neo fits fashion brands, own-brand and private label retailers, department stores, multi-brand chains and D2C businesses that design and sell but do not manufacture. It also fits footwear, accessories and home textiles businesses working through external vendors. The common shape is a sourcing team coordinating vendors, mills and inspection partners across several countries. How is Neo different from a traditional PLM? Traditional PLM is a brand-side system of record. Vendors are given a portal login, most never use it, and the brand's teams end up chasing updates by email anyway. Neo is built so the vendor never has to change what they use: updates flow through WhatsApp, WeChat, Excel and email, or through an AI agent that reads PDFs and scans, with a portal and mobile app available for vendors who want one. That is why vendor participation reaches levels a portal rollout does not. What does the core PLM module cover? - Season planning — concept-to-shelf calendars, a live product grid, and item, master and block libraries - Design — in-platform silhouettes and an Adobe Illustrator plugin, so designers work where they already work - Tech packs — six-tab tech packs with size-wise BOM, versioned and self-updating - Vendor and mill collaboration — shared collections, stakeholder ratings and hit-rate dashboards - Open cross-costing — three-level margin guardrails with live margin drawn straight from the BOM - Sampling control tower — proto through to top-of-production on one row with automatic Time & Action - Range review and bulk PO — costs, sell prices and size-wise buys in one grid, flowing into bulk purchase orders - Time & Action with AI delay prediction — at-risk styles surfaced before the delivery date moves What does the Quality Inspections module cover? Quality Inspections extends Neo to the factory floor with mobile, offline-capable inspection, so QC teams work at vendor and mill sites without connectivity and sync when they are back online. It covers FPT and GPT testing, inline and final inspections, technical measurements, AQL defect analysis, AI defect prediction, CAPA recommendations, QMS pre-assessment and vendor quality scorecards — so vendor performance is graded on evidence rather than memory. Does Neo replace an existing PLM or ERP? It does not have to. Neo runs as a standalone platform for brands that have nothing in place, and equally runs alongside an existing PLM or ERP — including Centric, Infor, SAP and WFX — extending it to the vendor base rather than triggering a rip-and-replace programme. Whether these are certified technical integrations or coexistence: [To be confirmed] How is BlueKaktus Neo priced? Neo is priced as a percentage of annual sourcing value (FOB) rather than per user seat, so unlimited users are included — the brand's sourcing, design, merchandising, planning and QA teams, plus the vendors, mills and inspection partners on the same record. Charging by seat would price out exactly the people whose participation makes the platform work. The PLM base module is 0.22% of annual sourcing value. Quality Inspections is 0.10%, Forecasting & Replenishment 0.10% and Design Intelligence 0.04%. The full suite is capped at 0.40% of FOB, below the 0.46% a-la-carte total, so the rate never rises above the cap as modules are added. On ₹100 Cr of annual sourcing, the PLM base module is ₹22,00,000 a year. Minimum term is 12 months and GST applies in addition. How long does implementation take? Eight weeks to full rollout, with a proof of concept running on the brand's own styles and its own vendors inside 30 days — not a sandbox. Forty hours of guided online implementation are included, rising to 60 for the full suite. How long has BlueKaktus been in the apparel software business? BlueKaktus has built software for the apparel industry since 2000. The Neo network spans 25,000+ suppliers and 50,000+ certified users, with more than $4Bn of GMV sourced through the platform annually. Development, implementation and support are handled in-house from Delhi NCR, India. What results do brands report? Brands running Neo report approximately 50% lead time reduction, an 8% increase in sales from buying closer to season, 30% higher inventory turns, 2× merchandiser productivity and 95% vendor adoption, alongside reduced discounting from fewer late deliveries.
